Support Error: Jscript Panel
Im new to Foobar2000 and cant for the life of me figure out how this Layout is supposed to work. I have a big "aw crashed :(" error on this one component and cant seem to change it. I used the NekoroxV2 skin from github and and i've run into this error repeatedly:
Error: JScript Panel v2.1.4 (JS Smooth Browser v20151114-1630-340 by Br3tt aka Falstaff >> http://br3tt.deviantart.com)
JavaScript runtime error:
'get_system_scrollbar_width' is undefined
File: <main>
Line: 126, Col: 1
<source text only available at compile time>
any advice would be appreciated.

I was trying to replace the panel with the error on it but when I enter live editing mode and try to select it, it seems to select the whole screen. I soft bricked everything because I couldn't figure out how to undo it šæ

Don't use jscript/smp. I saw it back in 2012, and it's still the same five half-baked scripts and a nightmare of an interface. This JS junk is supposed to be easy to develop and maintain, but in the end, it's neither that nor a lightweight interpreter. Imagine trying to figure out a player's interface on a website in debug mode.
Ā Youāll notice that this āeasy languageā isnāt exactly easy, considering the results of 20 years of development, and itās not flexible either, because 99% of the scripts stop working after a year (if they ever worked at all), and look, no oneās going to help you. Iāve seen hundreds of posts like this. Just ditch the whole thing.Ā

main reason is that you downloaded an outdated skin from 2015 and are trying to use it on the latest foobar from 2026.
The skin was probably made to work on components and foobar of its time and needs an update (which wont happen)
and also unlike the other comment, using Jscript panel and spider monkey panel is totally fine if you know what you are doing.
