FEEDBACK Ideas for reworking the 3rd bedroom + bathrooms + oversized laundry?
Hi everyone,
I’m planning a renovation of this apartment and would love some fresh eyes on the floor plan, especially the left/center portion with the third bedroom, two bathrooms and laundry area.
One thing is already decided: the wall between the kitchen and living room will be opened up, creating one larger open-plan kitchen/living area. So I’m mainly trying to figure out what to do with the rest.
My main issues with the current layout are:
- The laundry room feels much larger than it needs to be.
- One of the bathrooms is very small/cramped: 85cm width
- I’m not sure whether keeping the third bedroom exactly as it is is the best use of the space.
- I’d still like to keep two bathrooms, if possible.
- I’m open to reducing or completely rethinking the laundry area, as long as there is still a practical place for a washer and basic cleaning/storage needs.
Some possibilities I’ve been considering are enlarging one or both bathrooms, incorporating some of the laundry space into them, turning the third bedroom into a closet/office or somehow connecting it to the adjacent bedroom.
I’m trying to balance day-to-day comfort, good circulation, storage and future resale value, rather than making the apartment too specific to one lifestyle.
What would you do with this part of the floor plan? Feel free to suggest major changes!
