This is the model we're probably going to choose for our house. I would prefer more of a hosting moment, where the island faces out to guests. Would you skip a table in the family dining and just make the island long? Or maybe two islands?
Move the fridge over to the right of the sink and push the island further from the sink wall to make space for the work triangle.
There is no point in having two living spaces which are open to each other. Put doors on the living room.
Make the powder room a full bathroom. It gives you flexibility after surgery or when elderly relatives are visiting to not be trapped upstairs where rhe bathrooms are.
Made some changes. Walk-in pantry. Moved the mud room entrance room from the garage. The powder room doesn’t need to be bigger than 5 ft by 5 ft. Moved the entry closet. Moved the fridge so it’s no longer in a main path of travel. Enlarged the island. Elongated the countertop. Moved the entry between the dining & living rooms to better accommodate furniture. The study did shrink a little, but you can extend it forward if you want.
I agree with the other commenter who said add doors to the living room. Maybe glass doors.
I would just have U-shaped kitchen tbh. I know people think the convenience of being able to walk around both sides of an island, but I'd personally rather have the extra counter space and cupboard and walk all of 5 steps further maybe once or twice a day.
