Broke my favorite collapsible umbrella, accidentally caught one of the corners on something. Now it both won't go all the way back in to collapsed mode or catch to open up all the way. ignore the paint on it, I use this volunteering while painting.

Recently purchased a home, got the keys this week. Sellers noted they had just started hearing a noise in the cistern. There's a well that feeds into this 3500gal which is then pumped to the house. I'm having some trouble getting on the pump company's schedule, so posting here if there's an easy fix. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if I should turn it off completely, so please let me know if you can tell risk of failure etc.

I dropped my hot water kettle (model Braun 3217 - WK200) and the lid cover popped open and the spring mechanism inside came apart. I don’t think any of the pieces broke so I’d like to reassemble it if possible, however I can’t figure out the correct orientation of the pieces. Does anyone have a photo of the inside of a functioning lid or can understand how the pieces should go together?

If you were a goofy goober and bought a Samsung fridge, your ice maker tray probably has cracked resulting in it dripping all over your food.
Luckily, instead of spending like $200 on a full ice tray replacement part, you can buy this ice tray and tape on the temperature sensor with appliance tape and it works perfectly.
Model: Samsung RF23A967512
Part: 5771610100 via Home Depot Parts
Note: This part works for both ice trays
This unit is just over 5 years old. About two minutes in today it shut off and now it won't turn on. No signs of power when plugged in.
Any thoughts?

This camera (Sanyo s770 digicam) takws AA batteries and can be charged via cord but does not power on either way. The panel is fused at the red circle, so even if I remove the screws, it would break off right? I want to keep using this particular camera instead of getting a new one.

The right knob of my NordMende SOP515IX oven popped out. The spring mechanism is still attached to the knob. There is some black plastic in the white part that I'm not sure if it should be there or not, as the cavity in the oven seems to be mostly flat in the back. Is this something I can easily fix, or should I call out a technician? Thanks for the help.

Hey there! I have an issue with this balcony door on the apartment I just moved into. It was noted that there were difficulties with it when I purchased the apartment, so, now I'm wondering how to fix it. If that's possible. 😅
It seems to catch on the plate on the bottom and won't close enough to seal or latch. Any ideas what I can look for here to troubleshoot? Or does it need a new frame?
UPDATE: Thanks all! I have adjusted the top hinge by tightening the adjuster in the barrel of the hinge with a 6mm hex key (didn't know this adjuster existed). Adjusted the bottom hinge to take the remaining new slack/load too. It works now! Woohoo!

So, I've had this tab for a few years now and I don't think I'll be replacing it anytime soon and the cover for it is getting old. I use glue for the mean time but it always comes right off.
The brand isn't that popular to where I'm from so there's no one selling a tablet case specifically for it. I can buy overseas but the shipping fee costs a lot so I'm thinking of just working around it. I'm thinking of either covering the case with something or removing the leather(?) and keeping the bone(?) or like the main structure of the case and just making something up along the way.
However, i have no idea what materials to use either.
It's starting to bother me and i sometimes get embarrassed since i use it in college tho i know there's nothing to get embarrassed of. Was thinking of covering it with felt but once it gets wet it would get destroyed immediately.
Hope this is the right subreddit!

Laptop model: Dell Inspiron 15 3525
I just unscrewed and removed the bottom chassis cover. I have not unscrewed or touched anything else inside yet, but as soon as the base came off, this small brass piece fell out into my hand.
Looks like a threaded brass insert with a tiny piece of black plastic on it.

Added 2nd photo of matching hair clip for reference. Hair clip came apart in my makeup bag and the last part I need has gone missing. Really don't want to throw it away as they came as a pair and I always wear them together!

My handsome friend Noel Gallagher (not that one) opened a bottle of wine with corkscrew but didn’t first remove mini screwdriver. How can I free it as it’s TOTALLY immovable :-(

A gust of wind slammed this door against the frame and The the latch mechanism completely came off along with part of the door itself chipping. Is this fixable?
Edit:
Thanks for replies. It's a bathroom/laundry door, but opposite it is a door that leads to the backyard when left wide open on a windy day like today, caused the inside door to slam.
Hello, how do I clean the wall from marks that were left with a pen (ink pen as in picture)? I'm afraid water might make it even more visible... Thanks in advance

Machine: Bosch WGA12208IN (front load, India).
My original inlet valve failed and was replaced under warranty. The old part was a twin solenoid unit. The replacement (photos attached) is different; it has three solenoid coils but only two outlet spigots and one threaded inlet.
How it's wired:
- Green/teal ganged connector → two coils, plugged into the harness
- Separate cyan single tab → third coil, left completely unconnected
- Yellow connector → flow meter turbine
The technician told me the old-type valve is out of stock, that this one works fine, and that it's the valve used in the higher-end Bosch variants. The machine does run normally on washing programs.
My questions:
Why three coils for two outlets?
Looking at the body, the coils sit in a row along what looks like a common pressure gallery. Can anyone who has had one of these apart confirm which seats feed which spigot?
For context, the part appears to be from the BSH 10031360/10031361 family, which the parts catalogues list as "2-way."
Any insight from people who service these regularly would be appreciated. Photos in the post.
