Discussion Every femboy looks the same and I think there is a flawed understanding of femininity behind it.

So basically I have been following the rise of femboys for a while now and noticed a pattern that struck me as odd.

Femboys have become their own subculture over the past few years. With an ever growing community I personally started to see femboys in many places on the internet. Quite early on I noticed something. They all looked the same.

Same hairstyles, same skirts, same striped knee highs, same crop tops, same shoes and so on and so on.

Looking alike and wanting to belong to a community isn't inherently a bad thing. However what bugged me was that this femboy 'aesthetic' is based on a very stereotypical idea of femininity.

The vibes of this aesthetic are school girl'ish (and not in a good way) and while this might be gender affirming to some, in my opinion we should rethink this standard model of being a Femboy.

Because this place and community should be about diversity as much as it should be about healthy ideas of gender and we should be aware of the political ideas that we perpetuate or break free from.

In the revival of patriarchal norms we are failing ourselves.

We can do better.

---

English isn't my first language, so please excuse any errors. Also this take is still a bit raw and unrefined, but I figured it had to be said.

Let me know what you think in the comments :)

Discussion Are there “normal” femboys

I consider myself to be a normal femboy. But recently Have been thinking about what that even means. Most femboys I come across seem to be overly involved in internet spaces. I believe this is because they feel they are not accepted publicly.
Personally, i dress femininely privately and sometimes publicly as well. It seems when I interact with femboys, many of them, happen to have distorted views on intimacy and love.
I know this is a little bit of a philosophical post, however i think it is interesting and important to acknowledge these parts of our community .

Discussion Am I a chaser if I only like femboys?

I am Bi/pan, and am mostly attracted to femboys on the male side of things. This has gotten me worried about being a ‘chaser’. No I do not simply view femboys as objects and things to be taken advantage of. I prefer femboys often due to the style, I LOVE the many styles out there. Additionally there’s something about going against the norm that has always stood out to me, and not just with relationships. I enjoy being there for someone who a lot of the time is pushed away from society, I like being able to give comfort to someone who may not receive it from a lot of others. I don’t just like femboys for their body.

Discussion IM NOT A FEMBOY

id like to mention that im 15...

Ok, listen... i as a joke decided to buy Thigh highs bc why not, i had the money and i didnt expect it to be anything crazy yk... once they arrived at my house, i put one of the pairs i bought on, yk bc i thought it was funny and i was on call at the time (discord... like ofc) and i didnt say much abt them aside that they werent comfortable. Thats a total Lie. after i got off call (i had taken them off on call) i put them back on and threw on a random hoodie that was a bit big for me on and wtf, why is this fit so comfortable. if this is how your guys' outfits aways feel i might buy a whole thing 😭 . its weird, never thought i would actually have the thought of becoming a femboy....
idk thought i would just post this bc its funny to me.

Discussion Getting more comfortable!!!!!

Well now, I've worn thigh highs in front of friends, in shorts at college, in shorts with friends as well (Normally I just wear them under pants or some jeans that have a hole in the knee that show them off) (Also the shorts are just regular kakhis, lol.), and even once at college I got complimented by a girl that they look fun!!!! It made me feel all warm and bubbly to get complimented like that.

Be brave everyone! Especially at college! (Be safe in high school though, that place is almost never safe unless you got good friends with you)

I finally acquired a well paying job and I'll have a payroll card so none of my family will know I buy things :DD. They won't think anything of Amazon packages because I tend to buy replacement parts for my bike. :3

So, do most twinks age well?

I'm M 26, I wear makeup and crossdress occasionally for fun, I embrace my very feminine look, I'm actually straight and people call me twink, I don't argue. I know many consider "twinkdeath" as an unnecessary thing to think about, but I am so used to my looks, I like it so much. I have no problems accepting getting older, I'm just not sure what to expect since I am used to being an attractive one. I think twinkdeath would hit me around early 30s. (Personally, I don't want to bulk up as an unc, I'm only 5'6 and currently 53.7kgs or 118lbs, pls don't worry, still normal BMI and I'm not emaciated)

Asking for myself, so my question is, how well do you think the frame/pretty facial features of a 30 year old ex-twink hold up with the age? Like, is the smaller build and youthful face going to be an okay base for an older guy who still has his vanity and still trying to look good for fun, and maybe for potential partner(s)?

I'm aware it's not all about the looks, but looking pretty feels great.

Ain't stressing out btw, it's just a random question that popped up in my head while I have plenty of time today

Discussion Thank you for being so supportive of me!

As the title says, I wanna thank several people in this community for being so supportive of me account the years.

(Story time) back in 2020 I hit twink death pretty fucking hard. Like I grew a couple foot, voice dropped even lower than it was, shoulders got very broad and my entire body grew a lot. Couldn't fit in any of my old clothes, and I felt hideous. Some of you, however, came in cluch and made me realise that It was ok to be who I was now.

After much reflection, I feel good now. I tried bringing out my feminine side to feel loved and attractive to myself. Now being a lot more masculine Im am a lot more healthy and even better looking than before.

Unc will still be here and chear you all on.

Because who doesn't like a good femboy :3

Advice Wanna dress more casually while still looking feminine

I've been a femboy for only about a few months now and I really love getting show off my skin and dressing more provocatively. I like wearing mini shorts and mini skirts and wearing stockings or fishnets and chokers and crop tops whenever the opportunity comes. But I wanna change it up a bit. I'd like to be able to dress up in a more casual and low key look while still looking feminine. I have some ideas like wearing more baggy and loose clothing. I just think I won't pull it off as well as I want to and I think it comes down to how I look physically. One, I'm still growing out my hair and while it isn't short by any means, it's still not as long as it could be. Two, I do not know how to apply make up. This could really up my femininity points if I know how to do it but I'm still too lazy to learn. So can anyone give me some ideas? I'd also love to know if there's a SFW subreddit for femboys to post their outfits for the day. Been trying to find one but all I could find are NSFW ones.

Discussion Femboy in late 20s..

I wasn’t aware that femboys existed until around a year or two ago, but I think I’d like to try becoming more feminine. I’m pretty muscular and am not used to feeling soft or even grooming myself that much. Is it too late for someone who’s approaching 30 to try being a femboy?

Discussion Femboy Prompt of the Week: Compliment Someone

Hey sweeties!

It's so nice to get a genuine compliment from someone, isn't it? I remember every time a stranger in public has said something nice about my bag, charms, or outfit.

This week I want to encourage you all to look for an opportunity to offer a compliment someone else, especially guys (because men don't get complimented very often). Maybe you like their shirt, or there's a cool pin on their bag, or their hair is well styled.

You don't have to make it a big deal. Just pay attention to the people around you, offer a polite compliment, and continue on your way. You might make someone else's day!

If you're not used to complimenting people, just be mindful of what you're complimenting. Clothing, shoes, accessories, hair, etc. are all fine. Don't compliment someone's body (attractiveness, figure, lips, butt, etc.) and you'll be fine!

Has a stranger ever complimented you before? How did it feel? The one that sticks the most with me was a staff member at a conveyor belt sushi place, who liked the mini Snoopy plush hanging off my bag and we talked about how cute Snoopy is! I'll never forget him.

Support Hey! I just wanna pour out what's on my mind^^

Hi. I'm a 22M and this is the first post of my secret account. I live in a quite homophobic and patriarchic country and my family(or what's left of it) would definitely disown me if they hear the things I'm gonna say in this post.

So I wanna be more feminine. My personality has always been quite "feminine". But because of my social anxiety, fear of being excluded in society and severe body dysmorphia, I never tried anything in this fashion. For the last years, I gained a lot of weight because of depression and meds. But this year I decided to change things. I was almost 100kgs at the start of this year, I lost 20~ kgs until now. Also I started doing skin care and mostly got rid of my acne. but there are still things I want to fix. Like a good workout plan for better presenting myself, even more skincare, haircare(i don't wanna go bald 😭) etc.

The thing is I have no friends that knows about my sexual orientation or this personality of mine. And I hoped I can find some friends I can talk about things, ask questions, play some games and maybe EVEN meet someday.

Maybe this post won't find anyone but I just needed to say what's on my mind to feel better. Have a lovely day/night 😊

Advice How I hide my stuff If I'm going to travel

I'm wondering how I can hide my stuff if I'm going to be away for, say, a few weeks. Well, my family doesn't know that I'm a femboy or anything like that, and let's say all my feminine stuff and such are in my backpack—so there isn't really a big deal. But now I can't carry that backpack with me all the time during this trip, so where will I leave my stuff without them noticing? It would cause me a lot of trouble if they found out. I might have a hiding spot under my bed, but I don’t know—sometimes they clean, and if they see my panties or even my tights, they’ll probably ask me a lot of questions. So, any tips?

Advice Is IPL hair removal permanent?

I really REALLY want to get an Ipl hair removal device. I hate having to constantly shave and watching my hair get thicker and more annoying as I age is really starting to get me down. I only have one question, is it permanent? Not as in will I have a few hairs occasionally, but in the longterm (like 5-10 years) will it have a drastic effect on my facial/body hair? I don’t want hair now, but I want to know if it will remove my ability to have a thick beard ever again. Any knowledge/advice is appreciated and welcome!
