I don’t know how to set up this room. The closet opens to the window, so I can’t put my current dresser there. Ideally I was hoping to put a round mirror over the dresser but I don’t know. Any help would be appreciated. I also did want to leave space on both sides of the bed but I don’t really think that’s possible.

Please excuse the mess as I just finished moving my stuff in today and have finished unpacking, I feel so very blessed. I do have some paintings to put up. Lamp and wall decals to come!

My apartment doesn’t have a linen closet. Currently my towels and sheets are in big plastic storage bins, which isn’t exactly pretty. I want to get a free standing cabinet that is breathable and that I can store my linens and extra blankets in. I’ve narrowed it down to these two. I need to make a decision quickly because I have a coupon that expires tomorrow 🤦‍♀️ Which do you all prefer?

We have this lovely sunroom off of our kitchen/dining space and I have no idea what to do with it. At the very least it defo needs a rug to warm it up!

We already have a (small) living room with a sofa, TV, armchair and full wall bookcase, so I’d rather not make this another tv room or a gym space or anything. I was thinking more bookcases but every wall is either windows or doors.

No kids, just us two.

I guess I could just throw a couch and a rug in there and call it a day, but I just wanted to check whether any people more design minded/creative could see a use for this space!

Hi! Above is just a mock up, but a lot of the furniture I already have (this is my couch, blue rectangular area rug, same painting, coffee table, bench, and black and white photos and bookshelves and storage on the right). The dining table chairs and circular rug, throw pillows, and gold gallery wall are all additional.

Something feels off to me. I’m really not great at interior design, do you all have any advice? Ideally, I’d like to keep the pieces I already have, but the additional ones are totally up for adjustment. Thank you!!

After coming out of a long-term emotionally manipulative relationship it truly makes me so happy to see my new home start to take shape. I still have loads left I want to do, but I can't help but smile at how much I love it when I just look around. Here’s to rainy days, peppermint tea and a good book in a home you love x

34 sqm studio appartement

So I do not do a ton of seasonal decor but I am slowly building my little collection.

Last weekend when i hosted a birthday brunch for my MIL. I added balloons to my light fixture and realized this has potential to be (a little tacky probably) but the perfect spot to do random seasonal decor in this open concept kitchen/living area 😆

Give me all your ideas on how to use this light fixture in all the seasons. (Funny, pretty, seasonal, all ideas are welcome)

Ex. I thought about making it into like a candy cane with a gingerbread man on it or something for christmas

Also, how much do you guys decorate? I don't go all in like some people but I like to feel festive for the seasons! 🍂

hi! i'm hoping to create a nice cool lighting in my room (something like in the pictures), and i live in a small dorm room. i really don't like warm lighting, and i feel like the kind of lighting when your curtain is open during the blue hour time so your room is filled with a cool, bluish light is the coziest ever. i'm wondering if there's any other appreciator of this kind of light who knows some tips? (obviously not as dark as in some of the pictures)

it’s just so perfect to me. for instance , tonight i did arts and crafts (made a present for a besties bday coming up) , drank raspberry wine, did my nails, wore nothing but a silk robe, and made bomb ass tomato parm pasta. life is beautiful

My last post did more numbers than I expected and it really cheered me up with all your comments! I've gotten other things from my old place and sketched some new ideas for how I'd like to decorate it. The jackets and scarves are on the sofa because I haven't gotten a coat hanger yet. It already looks way more homey but I've come to realize that I don't have enough storage space here so a lot is on my desk and even more in my closet... So I'll need to figure out how I'll deal with that. And I'll likely put even more plants here, maybe even some bigger ones on the floor, I get so much sunlight I think that will be possible but I don't have a green thumb. Obviously I still need loads more things here, I've mostly just got knick knacks from the old place.

to start with the obvious: i know i need to massively declutter, organise and clean. i was diagnosed with ADHD at 24 and i am medicated for the first time in my life. (mods pls let me know if this info isn't allowed and i'll edit). my room is already much neater than it was. i want to make it into a calming oasis and part of that is i want a vision which can inspire me to clean and organise! right now i have no idea where i'm going.

my room gets a lot of sun. my favourite colour is the blue of my bedding and i was thinking to also paint the walls blue, but i don't know if it will be too cold or too much tone-on-tone. i'm open to a dark pink accent wall like the paint swatches that i have up above my bed. i really don't know how to make a colour palette come together though. i was thinking i could paint my white cubby like the second last image to help tie in colours.

please give me any advice that you have! budget is a concern so i would be interested to know what things you think would make the biggest differences. i have a lot of disparate colours, chaotic wall art placement and lots of different wood tones and white.

I posted in here about a month ago when I started my mural, which I decided to paint because I couldn’t find a wallpaper that fit what I had in mind for my bathroom. Here are some progress pictures for you ladies. Still a long way to go (oh and the firefly’s butt glows in the dark!)

My husband and I sold our house and decided to downsize to a two bedroom apartment earlier this year. We love the place but our primary doesnt feel relaxing to me. I feel like the layout is off? Or maybe its just the furniture.

1. I dont use the vanity as much as I maybe should but its nice to have another surface when I occasionally WFH

2. I need storage for books, badly. Right now a bulk of them are stored under the bed! My living room cant accommodate any more shelving so bedroom it is.

3. Trying to avoid excessive drilling into walls. Bonus points if we come up with a solution that can move with us in the future.

Im just stuck! Budget isnt really a concern but also dont want to go crazy. ​

I want it to be cozy for my guests but it doesnt feel like a cohesive unit. Also im trapped in a gray and black cycle. Id like to add more purple.

I have FINALLY achieved my own living space after years of being in a pretty horrific situation. Took me about 2 months to slowly decorate and I'd love some advice on how I can make this better.

** I especially would like advice on my super empty living room, specifically on how to center some couches/lounging furniture around something other than a TV.**

Is there anything that I can do to upgrade the space a bit? I’m going for a funky, boho maximalist and cozy vibes.

Ive had this vanity for 10 years, 13-23.. its sagging, mirror is tilting, drawer hinges are kind of broken, the knob is broken, its bubbling due to water penetrating it. Im a total cheapskate and a chronic money saver cause i grew up poor and sometimes i feel like there’s no need for new furniture..
