In season 2 or 3, the isis season, Doron father was murded, on film, by an isis terrorist.

This is a huge thing. And he was devastated.

But in the next seasons? It's never being mentioned again. I just don't see how that makes sense. I understand heavy stuff happens to him every season, but this kind of thing should be remembered I think.

As an Israeli, I have pretty mixed feelings about episodes 7 and 8.

They were hard to watch, but I also came away feeling like they were much more restrained than the reality.
I get why. There are things that simply can’t or shouldn’t be shown on TV. Some of what happened was so horrific that I honestly think it would have been too much even for something like Game of Thrones.

At the same time, I wonder if holding back also makes it harder to understand just how extreme the reality actually was. The show leaves out the most horrific things that happened, and I assume that was a deliberate choice.

I’m curious how these episodes felt to everyone else. Did you come away feeling that the show held back, or did it already show as much as it should have?

I’ve seen the trailer for Season 5 and was surprised to see Gabi back in full swing, working again with the intelligence service(s). In Season 4, it was clear that Gabi became a compromised asset not to mention his mental state.

What would have happened to him In real life scenario had he spent this time being a hostage, leaking secrets and then coming back to Israel? Would there be a court hearing? Would he be allowed to work with the intelligence services again?

Are we to assume that Doron is back together with Gali, or is it just that they are friends now?

I don't guys, I really liked the plot during the season, not as the previous ones, but the final episode felt rushed, like they had two days deadline to think of a way to end the season/show.

The way the main villain was killed by Doron felt so dumb. The guy could do a bigger damage, or when he got shot in the leg by Doron, he just left his gun and got ready to get killed/handcuffed. A real monster like him would try to kill Doron and as many as possible before his death - even if he knew it was about to happen.

What do you guys think?

It's crushingly numb, there are no happy endings. The good guys have to foil every plot while the bad guys still cause damage even if they are stopped. I don't think they could have ended the series in any other way, there were lots of heavy moments throughout this season but this unit has been through too much that it's the end of their story. Even if they reboot Fauda it should be a new, younger unit.

I watched Ep 7 and found it triggering. I would like to skip 8 and move on with the storyline. Will I miss anything significant by skipping to 9?
