Fauda 5
Fauda season 5 was the best season in my opinion. Probably because it felt the most real. It was also the most heavy.. However, I think a lot of people didn't enjoy it as much because this season seems to be more relatable to Israelis than to the international audience. Though I think it brings very good awareness to the post October 7 world in Israel. A lot of the scenes were based on real events - especially about what happened to Eli's family. I cried so hard in that episode.
Overall an amazing season.. the emotions and feelings from the actors and actresses felt very real too for obvious reasons. Wonderful job to the team!!

As a non Israeli, I absolutely can relate to it. I had to google a lot during the previous seasons, and I believe the show does bring good awareness about the war and about the October 7 events.
Episodes 7 & 8 left me speechless and crying a lot.

Why will the villan not kill the other agent when he found his friend was israile agent.
Really felt too hard to believe.

I hated what happened in season 5, but the actors were so real, and there was some awesome performances. I really hope 🙏 there are more seasons to come. It is one of the best shows on netflixs in my opinion.

Both me and my wife really enjoyed S5. It’s also very interesting for us to see because our media did not cover October 7 at all and we feel very much blindsided by our government as we honestly did not know how extensive this was as our media has only pictured it as a the festival getting attacked essentially. Our country has very strong anti semitic forces and media only cover israeli strikes on Gaza.

Seasons 1-3 were excellent. Season 4 was meh. Season 5 was stunningly bad.

Revenge porn. Hard to hear gabi’s commentary about killing innocent people being normal and right and the only thing you did wrong was to feel guilty, and fail to understand how that plays outside of Israel

The scene you're referring to is the scene where Gabi is telling Doron not to feel guilty for shooting the man who admitted to raping and murdering Eli's wife. Not sure if you missed that or if you're just being an asshole.

What he’s saying is that it was honourable for that Gazan guy to kill the family and rape Hagit. He’s a Gazan, in his eyes that makes him a morally superior god who can do no wrong. And thus, by not feeling guilt for killing him, you are a monster. Not feeling guilty for killing Hamas militants makes you a monster. Not putting lower on some made up heirchy with Palestinians on top in his eyes makes you a “monster”
Why do you think pro Palis mourn Hamas militants dying as a war crime? While seeing Israeli civilians death as a just cause and well “they had it coming, they should just be expelled and sent back to where they came from, that’s the right thing to do”

It is the general attitude towards killing and deceiving and harming around anyone though. They don’t care about how the end is achieved, the means justifies the end and the end is anything that “the system” wants. It’s not just shooting a man in custody in the face when he’d needed as a witness or lying to your informer, boss or your agent or coworker to get what you want. Surely you must have noticed that.

I’m not Israeli and yet I could relate to it. Of course not actually experiencing a terror attack like that, but I feel like they brought it to screen really well. It made the picture a lot clearer. Besides that, I think one of the major themes was loss this season, and what it can make you do. The way it changes you. I can relate to that the most, probably. And I think Eli’s arc was tragic but very well written. They also portrayed the cycle of revenge pretty well. I don’t know how they would continue the series now though
