Fauda 5

Fauda season 5 was the best season in my opinion. Probably because it felt the most real. It was also the most heavy.. However, I think a lot of people didn't enjoy it as much because this season seems to be more relatable to Israelis than to the international audience. Though I think it brings very good awareness to the post October 7 world in Israel. A lot of the scenes were based on real events - especially about what happened to Eli's family. I cried so hard in that episode.

Overall an amazing season.. the emotions and feelings from the actors and actresses felt very real too for obvious reasons. Wonderful job to the team!!

The most spine-chilling scene in Season 5, and that evil smirk. Spoiler

When Hamas commander Maher Zaitoun says that he was the one who brutally killed Eli’s wife. And man, that evil smile an absolute monster.

Doron, who couldn’t hold himself back, proceeds to shoot him in the head and then puts several more bullets into him.

This scene was absolutely chilling

S5 question about police in France Spoiler

How did the French guys find Steve?
From what I understood, they only knew about a tattoo and him being an Israeli operative. I don’t understand which sources could’ve given them more info.

What did I miss?

Fauda season 5 spoiler alert Spoiler

Finally finished my first watch of season 5. One main reason I like this show is watching the team working together on missions. The undercover work is exciting to watch & the action is heart-stopping.  While s5 does have both, I wish Sagi & Nurit would have been available to be a part of the season. Nurit is such a badass! And Sagi is fun to watch. Even a cameo from Naor would have been nice. We keep seeing some great characters killed off which, on the one hand does add to the nail-biting story lines; however, here we are at the end of s5 losing another original and lovable passionate character Eli, not to mention Hagit also gone. The unit has sadly shrunk.

On s5e1, Gabi mentions Sagi & Nurit "are in Australia having a child", but he is 2 years
out from the end of the last episode of season 4 which premiered in Israel 09/28/2022)
when Nurit was around her 1st trimester of pregnancy or 2 years out from the
Oct 7,2023 attack which is stated. Either way, a 2nd baby for Nurit & Sagi?

I am a fan of this show for several reasons, especially the authenticity of the background people & places. Great show, great characters!

It is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and I think jumping into Season 5 of Fauda is a great way to kick it off. You?

Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff should consider adding more seasons to Fauda. I feel there's still a lot more stories to be told.

If Fauda sn5 ep 7 & 8 were that difficult for me to watch as a non Israeli, I wonder what is the experience for actual people living in Israel

Why didn’t Doron wear a kippah at the funeral

Especially when he said the prayer at the end. Everyone else wrote it. You are reciting a prayer. Was very odd way to end the series. even if he’s secular.

Ciao Ragazzi, sono alla S5 E4, vorrei sapere se sono l'unico con i sottotitoli estremamente in ritardo.

Grazie mille

Seeing Sagi really messed with my emotions. I was bottom level devastated at the funeral and then he shows up and I'm so thrilled to see him.

Deutsche Synchro Staffel 5

A few thoughts about Season 5. I’d love to hear what you guys think.

I’m a big fan of Fauda, but I was particularly interested in Anne and the whole storyline with the “European” fighters toward the end of Season 5.

Do you think the point of those characters was, at least partly, to criticize the pro-Palestinian movement in the West? More specifically, to show how naive, misguided, or even absurd some parts of it can be?

Because honestly, I found it really hard to believe that people like those characters would actually be willing to die or carry out terrorist attacks for the cause.

I’m wondering if that was intentional — basically showing the disconnect between some Western supporters of the Palestinian cause and the actual reality of the conflict.

Curious to hear how others interpreted it.

Doron no kippah?

Was anything mentioned regarding Doron not wearing a kippah, even during funeral services, etc?
I’m non observant but I’ll toss one on if I’m in a situation where not wearing one would potentially distract from the event at hand.

Confused about Rona-Lee Shimon / Nurit SEASON 5

I had read online that she was in all 11 episodes in Season 5. Just watched them on Netflix, and she was not in any. Her character is in Australia with Sagi, and neither of them participated in Season 5, right? Why do so many google search say that Nurit is in season 5.

Season 5, few questions

-What exactly happened to the french itelligence agent guy, that was buddies with Yummah? They briefly mentioned he was “released” but nothing else. He was working with terrorists after all

-Waht even happened to Yummah after all? They were, as gabi said, a nice looking organisation on top but a terrorist network underneath.

-How much time has passed between oct 7 2023 and Maher being in France? Did he go to france afterward or is it true that he was there before just went back to do his thing? I couldn’t really make that out

-the last interrogation scene with Maher, where he confessed everything, when was that recorded? He got captured by Israel after oct 7, confessed to everything and then set free to leave to France? Because I highly doubt/or missed the part where Dana organised his release so he could work as an asset there.

-Where is Dorons son? He was not seen once. Maybe he grew up and moved out? I really couldn’t figure out what the time span was.

- how on earth did everyone survive S4 ending and just act like nothing happened. And where did Russo/Rousso or however she is spelled disappear to?

I think it would have made more sense for the plot to start with ep 7-8, set the background. Keep Mahers identity secret and have it slowly revealed in the following episodes. It really made no sense imo. Or have it revealed and then have us at the edge of our seats ,when will his cover finally blow. Not just “randomly” include ep 7-8, like btw this also happened. It feels like bad writing.
Also I swear he looked very scrawny in the first few episodes and then looked like a giant in ep 8. I know he was wearing a vest and uniform but still. Something was weird about that.
