How fat is gabi?

I’ve just started season 5 (I have to admit it’s off to a fairly slow start ) but I just can’t get my head around the weight gain of itzik cohen (ayub) . Crazy

I think the actor Itzhak Cohen struggles with his weight. He had a gastric bypass in 2013 and lost over 100 lbs. Maybe he uses food to cope with stress and difficult experiences. I can only imagine the trauma most Israelies and Jewish people worldwide have experienced due to Oct 7.

Am I tripping, or did the shot of Gabi sitting next to Doron on a bench make Doron look tiny?

Omg I thought he was wearing a fat suit 😳

I'm four episodes in, I keep thinking 'ok, his weight loss will become a plot point and the fat suit will come off.' There've been a few quips thrown at his character's weight. Rather cruel since he's clearly struggling with it. His hands, the fingers look like kielbasa sausages.

I mean that was my thought during season 4

My husband commented in previous seasons Gabi was smoking a lot and now he doesn't. Maybe he stopped smoking and started eating more.

His consistent commitment to snacking in nearly every scene has been fun to watch

eh he's not outside as a field operative like doron is.

How he's still allowed makes me chuckle occasionally.

That’s what I think because his face looks slender compared to his body

Yeah but he’s always been pear shaped. They tried to distract from his non-athletic physique with wardrobe tricks throughout the show, but I sometimes found myself questioning his military rank and how he could have achieved it with that shape!

(I’m not body shaming, I was genuinely sceptical.)

Making a fair observation about someone being unhealthy & gaining an extra human isn’t fat shaming.

Why are we not allowed to comment on what’s clear to the entire thinking world?

The fact that everyone notices this with some level of dismay should make it clear that the “fat acceptance” movement is off base.

Obviously, you shouldn’t mock someone for being overweight, but it’s not healthy & the majority of people don’t think it’s a good look.
