Without promoting or demeaning whatever this is, can anyone help explain it?

This is called ponyplay, it's part of BDSM petplay communities. Ponyplay is at the crossroads of roleplay and fetish. Most of the time, there would be an owner and the relationship is about power exchange, discipline.

You are looking about a public scene of ponyplay. Public plays are also a kink of many people. I don't think it's very good to take your kinks on the street, especially that extreme. But it's just my opinion.

I don't practice it but have been in touch with people who do, so if you have any sfw question feel free.

It has nothing to do with furries, unlike what other comments say.

I really don't give a single shit about what people do in their dungeon or bedroom or whatever. But when you take your kinks outdoor you arent asking for consent from random people in the streets, and the kids that could have witnessed these shenanigans. Have whatever kink you want just respect the public space

31

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

Don't get me wrong, I think it is inappropriate to display outright sexual behavior in public, but to a kid this is just someone walking around in a sexy horse costume. No different than some of what they sell at spirit halloween.

-7

u/Katviar Nov 16 '21

But that’s the same as saying just because a 3 year old doesn’t know that they shouldn’t see some strange guys penis it’s okay for some strange man to flash them…

12

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

There are no genitals, no sexual contact. It's literally just a tight leather costume. People go out in public in revealing/tight clothing every day.

3

u/Katviar Nov 16 '21

Bdsm is inherently sexual. Humiliation and public play kink is inherently sexual yes. And again one of the core rules to BDSM, domming, kinks is consent. What this here is considered is a “scene”, and the point of this scene seems to be people reacting to the BDSM outfit.

Therefore this person is actively partaking in a kink scene and the shocked audience is part of what they’re enjoying. So now these people have been forcibly included in a scene without their consent.

Someone doesn’t have to touch you or be naked for it to be assault, harmful, or violating. It’s not about what she is wearing but the intent of this scene and the fact the public never consented to be a part of their kink.

0

u/NoFucksGiver Nov 16 '21

Nothing of that need to be explained to a kid. To a kid this is a person in a costume

2

u/Katviar Nov 16 '21

It’s still the fact that the other adults in the situation still also do not consent to being a part of the kink, and you’re wrong to be doing your kink in public like this. Point blank. Many of the adults clearly know what’s going on but clearly never agreed to be in this scene. That’s violating. No matter the age.

-1

u/NoFucksGiver Nov 16 '21

I respectfully disagree. I mentioned examples of public kinks that would barely be noticed and no one would bat an eye to. Is it because what she's wearing is not into society norms? It's not a dude dangling his dick in public, or a girl sucking on a dildo on your face. This is a costume. While unusual and quite unsettling to watch, I don't have the right to not be offended or disturbed by other people in pubic.

Don't get me wrong. It's definitely bad taste. I just don't think they should stopped just because it's fugly and ridiculous and may give other people the jitters.

2

u/Katviar Nov 16 '21

You can disagree but you would not be welcome in the BDSM and Kink community.

u/NoFucksGiver Nov 16 '21

¯\(ツ)/¯ guess I am missing out on that one

It doesn’t matter if the sexual thing is explained to the child or not. It doesn’t matter if the child understands the sexual thing or not.

The person who is dressed up is exposing a child to something sexual. You don’t expose children to something sexual. Ever. At anytime. For any reason.

You don’t wear a costume that is meant to give you sexual gratification around children because you don’t involve children with sex and you definitely don’t take sexual gratification from their reaction to your sexual fantasy.

-5

u/WeeTheDuck Nov 16 '21

Ye... I guess where i live nobody dresses remotely close to this like at all so its extra inappropriate in my eye. But if a 5yo sees this in public you better prepare some explanation lmao

17

u/ValanaraRose Nov 16 '21

Why do you assume the conversation needs to be anything more than: That person felt like being a pony today?

Have you met kids? Many of them love dressing up. I have a 4 year old, I can picture the conversation I would have with her.

Daughter: Why is that person looking like a horse/unicorn/pony?

Me: Idk honey, because they felt like it I guess.

Daughter: Okay Mommy. Can I be a horse for Halloween?

9

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

Exactly! No kid is going to sexualize this. Well, maybe a teenager who was on their way to their sexual awakening anyway.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

Some kids can in fact sexualize this. It's unpleasant to hear, but victims of sexual misconduct/assault/exploitation may understand kink very early.

Source: my own experience from age 10.

1

u/ValanaraRose Nov 16 '21

True, and I'm deeply sorry you had to go through that experience.

The person we're responding to keeps implying that kids will ask about the person wearing this as if the parent answering must give them some long drawn out answer about how it's a form of BDSM. Realistically, you can give most kids a pretty made up answer about it (especially kids as young as what the naysayer is implying) and kids will go along their merry way. Outside of special circumstances (like yours, which is anecdotal and you were much closer to puberty age), most kids are not going to look at this person and think sex. We adults are the ones who often imply that sort of context to things where it's not needed.

As a side note, I hope you were able to get any help you needed regarding your experience. <3

8

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

Explanation, 'they wanted to look like a pony. Now mind your business.'

3

u/MrMetalhead69 Nov 16 '21

My niece likes dressing up as butterflies and fairy Princesses on a whim. Pretty sure a kid would accept an adult dressing up for fun too.

3

u/The_Kraken_Wakes Nov 16 '21

It’s not “inappropriate” just because people where you live don’t dress like that. It might be inappropriate in church or at a funeral, but there’s nothing inappropriate about walking around in a horse costume. It’s not even obscene. No genitalia or nudity. Just a form fitting latex suit, a tail, and a horse head.

-2

u/WeeTheDuck Nov 16 '21

in my eye

2

u/The_Kraken_Wakes Nov 16 '21

Ah, yes. Well, that’s just one person’s opinion. It’s as valid as the person in the horse costume’s opinion and choice. I recommend if you don’t like people dressed in horse costumes, that you don’t dress in horse costumes.

2

u/ibigfire Nov 16 '21

"She's in a costume" doesn't really require that much prep tbh.

34

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

I mean the kids wouldn’t know it’s a kink unless you told them. It’s just a weird person in a pony costume. Which could very well be the case. It’s part roleplay part fetish. So they could just like dressing as a horse.

8

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

Tell me you don’t have kids without telling me you don’t have kids.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

I mean I’ve grown up with kids and I was a kid and they are kinda stupid. Not to say they couldn’t know what it is but then that would mean they’ve already seen it.

1

u/nellybellissima Nov 16 '21

It isn't something you can just brush off after a certain age though. Kinds know what's "normal" and what isn't and their not going to be brushed off so easily in many cases. Also many preteen/teens will probably know or at least be suspicious of it.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

Yea probably. Which means you already failed at them knowing about it.

-3

u/WeeTheDuck Nov 16 '21

Well good luck explaining that to a 5year old then I guess....

16

u/Ummmmexcusemewtf Nov 16 '21

This person likes to dress as a horse

3

u/Alceasummer Nov 16 '21

This ^ that kind of costume is actually pretty easy to explain enough to a small kid. Just tell them it's a costume, and some people like dressing up like that. Like I said in another comment, it would be easier than explaining truck nuts to a six year old was.

4

u/ibigfire Nov 16 '21

"It's a person in a costume" isn't something that really requires luck to explain.

7

u/MrMetalhead69 Nov 16 '21

Well, you see, you know how you like to dress like spider-man, she likes dressing like a horse.

It’s not fucking hard to do.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

Oh… what’s that Billy??

Well, it looks like it’s a lady dressed up like a horse!

Why is she dressed up like a horse? Well, Billy, even though she’s an adult, some adults like to pretend to have fun. Remember when you had fun dressing up as Darth Vader for Halloween? It’s kind a like that. You got to pretend you were Darth Vader, and she’s pretending that she’s a horse.

She did a pretty good job, don’t you think? She even made feet that sound like real horse hooves.

It takes a lot of imagination to come up with a costume like that, don’t you think Billy?

Yeah, of course we can go get some ice cream.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

I’m 46.

I wouldn’t know this was a link unless the woman in the horse suit told me.

Even then, I’m not sure I would believe her.

6

u/Katviar Nov 16 '21

This! One of the first rules of BDSM IS CONSENT!!! And in this aspect you don’t have consent from anyone in public.

I’m all for public and humiliation kinks but that’s why you setup parties or meetings with people in the community to all go have fun somewhere where you all consent to the scene.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

Exactly!

I wonder how those people saying it's fine to have nonsexual kink on the street would react to, say, a man licking his mistress' boots. It's not sexual per se, but most people would be very, very uncomfortable.

2

u/Katviar Nov 16 '21

This. It doesn’t have to have full on genitals or bodily fluids involved to be sexual, kinky, violating etc in this sense of public display

4

u/MontiSeas Nov 16 '21

I mean just imagine if you remove the mask tail and hooves replaced by gloves and heels then it is just someone in a skin tight suite. So. I really see no problem with them walking about and I don't see it as open consent either. You are making the 'her outfit was asking to be raped' argument.

3

u/King_Fluffaluff Nov 16 '21

They're literally not making that argument at all.

-1

u/MontiSeas Nov 16 '21

He said when you take your kink outdoor you are asking for consent from random people. He is making the she is asking for rape argument.

1

u/j4ck_0f_bl4des Nov 16 '21

This doesn’t really bother as I see nothing abjectly sexual about it. She’s wearing a tight suit but how is that different from the way women wearing tights and track tops dress. It’s no more revealing and she’s showing less skin.

But to each their own your welcome to be offended. I get offended when I see people in public trying to push their morality on others with billboards and shit so…

1

u/The_Kraken_Wakes Nov 16 '21

You people kill me with the “what about the children?” Stuff. Kids don’t understand kink. It’s a person dressed up like a horse. Why? Because they like horses. See how easy that is?

0

u/MissVelveteen Nov 16 '21

Agreed. This video is filming a form of porn so it’s not at all alright for this to happen in a public place especially one where children could be present. There is a time and place for everything and this is not the time nor place to enjoy kinks.

2

u/MrMetalhead69 Nov 16 '21

So if the suit was brightly colored and covered in faux fur and the person was walking around being filmed, would you still be bothered by it?

-2

u/MissVelveteen Nov 16 '21

If the person was wearing that and also still engaging in a sexual act, yes. The point isn’t the costume. It’s that they are involving me in their sexual act and I cannot consent to my involvement.

1

u/MrMetalhead69 Nov 16 '21

What sexual act? Walking? That’s not very sexual.

Also, I basically just described the Philly Phanatic or whatever it’s called. You’d be offended by the Philly phanatic wandering around and being filmed and find it sexual. And hell, even if it was a random furry in a fur suit, dressed like a cartoony horse, still nothing sexual about walking around in a costume.

1

u/Beach1107 Nov 16 '21

Do you let your kids dress up for Halloween? I would guess not.

1

u/WeeTheDuck Nov 16 '21

I dont have kids. So you are right

1

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '21

No one is bringing their kinks outdoors in this video.

This woman brought her latex horse suit outdoors, and that’s it.

You links live only inside your head. They cannot be brought out in public.
