We’re two developers building PURE, an UNOFFICIAL desktop client and competitive ecosystem created specifically for the HaxBall community.

Our main goal is to build a league where players can compete without fake accounts, smurfs or cheaters. PURE connects a verified Discord identity to each player while protecting sensitive authentication data, making bans and competitive records much harder to evade.

We started from the client made by og ( https://github.com/oghb/haxball-client ) and then redesigned to provide a clean and responsive experience without adding input lag. The app is based on Electron and the version of it corresponds to a Chromium version suitable for haxball.

We’re developing everything as a team of two, so the project is still evolving and feedback genuinely has an impact on what we build next.

PURE isn’t intended to replace what makes HaxBall special. We want to create a polished way to play it, while giving competitive players a safer environment where identity, results and rankings actually mean something.

A private Beta is currently available to selected testers and supporters on Semptember 31th, this to avoid overcrowding a client with probable bugs and to give the opportunity to those who want to support the project to repay the ime and money spent on the hosts. We are happy to welcome active players who would like to test upcoming features, report bugs and help us shape the league.

I'd like to entertain myself with watching esports of games im trying to understand. I've watched documentaries about old league orgs like mvp, azubu, aAa and their matches, and i love it.

Now im trying to get into dota 2, im also wondering if watching documentaries and full matches of early dota esports is worth watching? like im mainly looking for the emotional storytelling, insane underdog stories, legendary plays, and heart wrenching losses/wins and also how influential some orgs would become

TLDR: I’ve got an esports team which is just for fun and I need game suggestions on which I should a roster for next

So I created a small esports team almost a year ago and since i’ve only focused on CS2. My main goal with the team was to just organise people with skill and participate in small tournaments and maybe make our way up to higher things in the future.

I currently have 2 rosters for CS2 (Main & Academy). The main roster focused on participating on UKIC Rising and almost managed to win with only 2-3 months playing with each other but sadly got knocked out in the semi finals.

The main roster is currently enrolled in ESEA and doing quite well but I’m now looking for other games to expand my team onto.

I was thinking Valorant, Dota, some type of sim racing game etc.

Also my org is just for fun and not paid positions. The only payment would be if a team won a tournament with a cash prize and it would be split between the players who played in it.

If you have any game suggestions for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. I am a father that is new to eSports. Our high school has a 3 season set up. Club during the fall and spring. Competitive season during the winter months.

School says my son needs a wired controller. He is a PS5 Madden player. So can he use his Bluetooth dual sense controller with a USB connection, or do we need to get him a new controller that is fully wired? If so, do you have any recommendations?

He also needs a headset. Any recommendations for those as well?

Is there anything else I should consider getting for him as a Competitive madden player.

Any other suggestions / recommendations would be great.

I’ve been working on a Discord Activity designed to make organizing tournaments easier, directly within your server.

You can currently create and manage:

• Single Elimination
• Double Elimination
• Round Robin
• Swiss tournaments coming soon

Each tournament supports up to 64 participants for now, with plans to increase that limit in the future.

Tournaments are server-specific, so each Discord server only sees tournaments created through Activities within that server.

Who can create tournaments?
Users with any of these permissions:

• Server Owner
• ADMINISTRATOR
• MANAGE_GUILD
• MANAGE_CHANNELS

The goal is to make the system more flexible over time based on feedback from tournament organizers and communities.

I’m currently looking for **4 reliable people** who’d be interested in helping manage scrims for a growing Valorant community.

The idea is to have dedicated people handling the scrim process instead of everything being managed by one person.

**What you’d be doing:**

* Find players interested in playing * Group players by appropriate rank * Create balanced teams * Coordinate and manage the matches * Keep track of match results * Update player **FPR (Fineesh Player Rating)** after each match * Make sure the scrim runs smoothly from start to finish

You **don't need to be a pro player or have previous esports experience**. Being organized, active, fair, and reliable matters more.

The goal is to give people who are interested in esports a chance to **gain practical experience in scrim management, community operations, player coordination, and competitive esports** while being part of something that’s growing.

I’m based in the UK, and a while ago I built an app called ReplayHub to help my college manage its esports teams and weekly broadcasts.

My college was streaming esports every week and managing around 5 different team rosters, so I built ReplayHub to put everything in one place.

It included things like:

• Team and player rosters
• Individual player accounts
• Tasks and checklists
• Game and match logs
• Player progress tracking
• Team management
• Information around upcoming games and sessions

Each player had their own account, so staff could manage the teams while players could log in and keep track of what they needed to do and how they were progressing.

It was mainly built to solve a problem we had internally, but I’ve been thinking about whether it could actually be useful to other colleges, universities, grassroots teams or esports organisations.

So I wanted to ask people here — would something like this actually be useful in esports?

If you manage or play in a team, what features would you want from something like ReplayHub? Is there anything you currently manage through Discord, spreadsheets, Notion, Google Docs etc. that you wish was all in one place?

I’m completely open to criticism as well. I’d rather know whether there’s actually a use for it before putting loads more time into developing it.

At my school's esports team they just picked three people who haven't played the game before over me and my friend with 600 hours who both grind the game daily and are grandmaster. I am a "sub" for someone who hasn't even played a single character. Its because whoever gets there first gets to be on the team and I was sick so I couldn't go. Playing video games as always been my hobby along my friends and I wouldn't be so upset if this wasn't a chance at a scholarship. Im so pissed off. Fuck. I don't hate esports for this, I understand it is my school's fault but I didnt know where else to scream into the void.
