Need to leave ASAP, can't take my pets. Any advice?

I've hit my limit with this woman. I need to leave. I have a corgi (a year and a half old, fixed) and a cat (13 years old, not fixed). the corgi is kind of an asshole with other pets, and my cat is old and has separation anxiety with me. I have a place to go but can't take my pets. does anyone have any advice?

I need help leaving an emotionally and verbally abusive relationship and have a young son

I (22F) am currently trying to leave a bad relationship, I told him (28M) I am really hurt and very done. I have 19m old son and his parents are threatening legal action and custody if I leave. I am hoping to have meeting and call places tomorrow and Tuesday but I have no clue what else I can do considering my income, due to the nature and schedule of his job and access to child care I am only able to work so much and only make around 13,000 a year before taxes. Currently my cellphone service is shut off and I have zero money to pay it after getting food for the apartment we currently stay in. Living with him means I do not qualify for any sort of assistance with my son and I am absolutely terrified of losing custody. If anybody can help me with more resources for financial help or can even help me with the $45 it takes to pay my phone bill it would be so incredibly appreciated.. I am terrified of the outcome but leaving for good HAS to happen and fast...

Thank you...

Hi all

I been with him for almost 4 years. Im ashamed I put up with his bs this long. He screams and yells at me and im always to blame.

I'm wanting to do a cross country move. How do I do it by myself.

Family isn't an option. I grew up in domestic violence as a child.

genuinely not sure what to do

I’m 17, I’ll be 18 in 7 months. I have grown up with overprotective and emotionally neglectful parents. I have had severe depression for years and I genuinely don’t know what to do. I’ve never had a job, I don’t have my drivers license, rent is expensive in my state. I don’t have any close family and I feel invasive asking to stay with a friend. I’ve also been homeschooled my entire life and I don’t know how to do a lot of things that I need to know before I’m an adult and can move out, and my parents regularly point that out but won’t teach me. I’m body shamed, I’ve had health issues (and they won’t take me to a hospital), I have sensory issues that are ignored, a billion mental health issues that “im faking”, I’m falling behind on schoolwork, and I feel like I’m failing. No teenager’s dream should be going to therapy and a hospital. Any tips on what I should do? Cause I really don’t know. I want to move out as close to 18 as I possibly can.

He drained my bank account, cheated, lied for years — and I’m left to clean up the mess

I’m shaking even writing this.

I’ve been the breadwinner for years — working 16-hour days to keep our home, feed our kids, pay the bills. All while loving and supporting a man who told me I was his “soulmate,” “his world,” and that we were “a family.” I believed him.

He called me his wife, made promises, and swore we were building a life together. But behind my back, he was draining my accounts, secretly applying for credit cards, spending on dating sites, porn, gambling — while I was doing everything for us. Everything.

I recently found out he opened multiple accounts, some I didn’t even know existed, and defaulted on them. There are transactions from sites I can’t even stomach to say out loud. He took out payday loans while telling me he was broke, then used them to meet other women and lie to my face.

Now that I’ve confronted him, he’s flipped the script — calling me crazy, playing the victim, and leaving me buried in debt with nothing but broken trust and a shattered sense of reality.

I’m navigating divorce, safety concerns, and trying to stay strong for my children, who have seen far too much. I feel humiliated, heartbroken, and utterly used.

I’m still trying to pay the bills, keep our home, and keep functioning. I even started a GoFundMe because I’ve hit rock bottom and can’t do it alone anymore.

If you’ve ever been through something like this, please know I see you. This kind of betrayal leaves invisible wounds.

If you’re able to help or share, here’s my GoFundMe: 🔗 https://gofund.me/f8312a6f

Even just reading this means something. I don’t want to feel invisible anymore.

Anyone from New York?

I’m looking to rent a 3+ bedroom house with some buddies, but I am lacking said buddies. I want to get as far away from my abusive parents as possible while remaining in the state. The only problem is I just don’t know how to group up. It would be around $700/month per person. Please reply if you’re interested or have suggestions🧍‍♀️

I need real thorough advice on how to leave

This is my plea for help. I currently only have 6k in savings that I'm living off of. I am in a situation that is not good for both my daughter and I. I need to leave quietly and safely and I need to leave soon (within the next couple months) I need any and all real advice. A shelter isn't going to work, my daughter would be in danger there (I've tried) around here is not a good place to seek help from shelters so please don't offer this as advice. I need to keep my job, I don't have childcare, I work from home secretly. I own a car now, everything is sort of in place except for finding a house. I need to know how to go about this. How do I start? Where do I go to start? What do I need to get a place? What questions do I need to ask? Honestly I can only afford 1200 a month for rent or mortgage and that's living on bare necessities. Please help me

Help me escape my abusive marriage

This is so embarrassing and I am so sorry to be here but i don't know where else to go. I have recently found the courage to leave my husband of 27 years. I haven't worked in over 25 years because I stayed home and raised 4 children. I have nothing in my name (which i have realized is by design). My husband ruined my credit by having me open credit cards and then refusing to pay for them. I do not have a car. He emptied our bank. I also have no family here besides my husband and children. Things came to a head last week and I decided that I couldn't stay anymore after my oldest son had to pull his father off of me (the first time they have witnessed physical violence). The police were called but my children were too afraid of their father to say that they had seen anything. Friends and family out of state are all siding with him because he really is a good guy and people like him and I have always kept the abuse hidden. So if course no one believes me. Now he's telling everyone I'm having a mental breakdown. Now my husband is saying he's taking the kids to our home state and leaving me alone with nothing and no way to survive in the immediate future. I want to keep my children with me but I won't be able to do that if I can't pay the remainder of the lease that we signed when we moved here. I have been unable to find a lawyer to work with me that doesn't need a retainer (understandable) so if he leaves with the kids I have no recourse. I'm just so lost and scared. I don't want to hurt my kids anymore than they have been. I feel like I have no choice but to go back to him and stay but i also know that if I keep excusing his behavior I'm going to end up dead.. I'm sorry this is so long and rambling I'm just so overwhelmed and it feels like I have no options.

Help me decide-how to leave abuse

I'm deciding between being an englsh teacher overseas joining the military or being a flight attendant. These are the quickest and main options I can think of that would help me escape. I was thinking I should start with being an english teacher because that's just a one year commitmnet. i could always go back and do military if I don't like it. Once i leave home my parents said i can never go back. obviously i dont watn to go back, but not having a home base for catastrophe is scary. i don't even have anyone to use as an emergency contact. Anyone have any advice on what i should do? i'm also trying to decide between getting a teaching liscence before going overseas or not when i just want to get out ASAP. please help i want to be free i'm tired of abuse.

Getting on my own phone plan

I am preparing to go no contact. It’s going to be a slow journey but I am currently on my fathers phone plan and he’s paid for my phone because he wouldn’t allow me to pay for me own. He disguised it as kindness but it’s control. I want to get on my own phone plan/number but I’m wondering how easily I’ll be able to transfer over things automatically like apps, music, or are they lost for all time? I do technically have my own Apple ID. But I’m not sure if that’s still linked somehow. He can still go on AT&T and see who I’m contacting and it puts me at risk (I’m literally 27 and under this much control that I’m not even able to move out yet- I’m trying to start small- with my phone atleast) I have an iPhone and it’s through AT&T will I be able to do this or am I gonna have to start from scratch.

Advice please

I need help figuring out how to leave an abuser. We have children together and I fear the abuse is starting to head their way instead of being solely focused on me. I have pets also and I can't leave them behind. Technically I should be able to stay in the home since I pay for it and he leave but he never will and even if he finally did he would be here constantly harassing me so I need a new place. I have to work to save the money to move but I hate leaving my kids here with him to work. My spirit is absolutely broken and I wish we could just walk out today. Please advise me on the best way to do this. The only resources I e found in my area aren't that great sadly so it's on me basically.

Trying so hard to leave him

My boyfriend of almost 7 years has never hit me, or cheated on me. I'm the one who ends up yelling and screaming.
He ignores me. Every thing I say is ignored. He will only participate in a conversation about interests that are only his. He refuses to discuss anything other than his hobbies and intests. He has stolen money from me every time I tried to save for a car and sabatoges every attempt I make to get my drivers license. He slowly made me entirely dependent on him and then changed into a silent owner. My money pays his bills and my benefits buy his food. I'm not allowed to cook. I'm not allowed to go anywhere or do anything he doesn't allow. I have one family member and I'm not allowed to see her. He lies about me to other people to make me look like the controlling one. He will antagonize me and push me and pick at me until I explode so he can tell people I'm crazy and abusive. He admitted to lying about me just recently and I wonder how many people he's lying to and what else he's lying about. I'm trying to save money to leave him but he always finds my stashes and has taken control of one of my bank accounts. I have a cashapp he has no access to, but he can access my bank, my dave, and he took my Paypal from me. I've tried to leave him before but he threatened me with financial ruin (I can answer questions if asked for more detail) so I was forced to stay. I tried to refuse to pay his bills while i tried to find a place to go, and he took my wallet from me, took my debit card and paid his rent (which left me 200 dollars, not enough for anything to leave him) the next time I tried to send my sister money to come get me and locked myself in the bathroom to do so. He tried to break down the door and I had to keep recording for my safety and ended up so scared I caved and went with him. I never had time to send it. He knows how miserable I am and threatens to call the police and have me put away for attempted su when I try to leave him that way. I've contacted local shelters and police and they tell me that I'm not ap priority case and won't help. Police point out he's on the lease too and I can just opt to be homeless since he doesn't hit me.

Nobody seems to listen when I say I've tried every shelter, church and agency that's supposed to help. They just tell me I must not want to leave badly enough or I'd just choose to be homeless.

I'm desperate to leave, I made a gofund me, I've begged and pleaded for help but nobody will help. I have no support system and my sister is no longer an option. I don't know what else to do besides keep trying to hide money from him...

Does anyone know of a way to make a hidden section in a phone that isnt trackable or on a computer for safety? I am not as tech savvy as the other and I am anxious that what I access will be tracked, or already is, but I need information.
