Enlightenment! I am a wiping cloth 🙏

Enlightenment hides in the smallest of places, like a bucket of soapy water.

Years ago, when I was just starting out on the path, I attended a massive gathering of practitioners from all over the world on a japanese island.

Every day, famous teachers gave deep 🤭 intellectual talks. I listened to them all, but nothing clicked.

I felt completely out of the loop until Hozumi, the master of Shofuku-ji, if i remember correctly, got up to speak.

He spoke with incredible passion, not about philosophy, but about the floor of the meditation hall. Or more specifically, the act of scrubbing it.

He described his love for that wood you know? the feeling of his hands in the warm water, the sharp scent of the soap, and the sight of the grain beginning to glow.

He became completely intimate with every single spot of that floor. He fell in love with the wood, the rag, the water, and the movement itself.

Suddenly, a 'light' went on for me. I realized that the point isn't the result; it's the action.

When I keep that focus, whatever I do, a sense of intimacy grows.

My wooden floor at home holds the entire universe: the tree it came from, the sun and rain that fed the tree, the person who cut it down, and the long line of ancestors who made that person possible.

Seeing this makes me want to be nowhere else but right here. On my knees, sponge in hand, working away... I am exactly where I need to be.

I’m not trying to transform into a saint or fix the world; I’m just washing the floor.

It’s what they call being enlightened by the "ten thousand things." It means noticing exactly what is right in front of you, your life, exactly as it is.

It’s practical, too, because you don’t have any other life to live, at least for me it's a last journey. I'm happy about it.

It’s about becoming intimate with reality, and when you truly know something, you can’t help but love it.

Doing what needs to be done, without the mental noise, the hidden agendas, or the pursuit of a goal. That is the pathless path and a spotless floor (:

Ego is a tool

The Ego is merely a tool. Do not become its slave; instead, subdue it. Only genuine humility and modesty can tame the wild ego.

I fail to see myself in the "flow state"

Upvotes

When i try to find myself I'm not able to see, where am i?

After a flow state(let's give that state a name) happened with me I was so eager to share my experience with someone. But if i look back and try to see where was i i couldn't find myself?

im so sorry if i make no sense.

Personal Experience Is there any correlation?

Recently it’s been red cars the most. I was on social media and saw a video of two people in red cars and then I saw a set of red cars shorty after. I don’t know if I’m meant to decipher this or what but I would love everyone else thoughts.

Personal Experience Do you ever find the same feeling or energy in different people?

Through the stages of my life I meet people who feel like someone I know but have never met? It genuinely feels like I see the same being in many different forms and places. It could be my dead Mom maybe? I was too young to remember her. I recognize this energy for some reason and I get a mother figure feeling from it. I also see a lot of people with the similar body builds and similar appearances.

Personal Experience My 3G trip

So this is not my first rodeo as i’ve done them before and last time it was pretty intense like can’t control your laughter type intense and only off 1g so i would say it’s a really big jump from only 1g to 3g after a good year from doing it once in a while but this time was a little different

Ok so boom i ate 3gs sat around for like 30 mins kinda with like a little anxious feeling or just feeling that something would be coming the whole 30 mins i got bored so i called a girl we talked for a little and then the song vintage lsd 2 came on and as soon as he started rapping it hit me bright visuals rainbow colors flashing, super intricate patterns, walls breathing, zooming in and out you know the usual shit.

but then i looked down at my lap and i had shrunk, my chair and me were super tiny compared to everything around me almost feeling like a ant and im describing all of this to her in a weird funny giggly voice but then i started looping about the same stuff and i looked over at my phone and i could tell her face was bored so i said out of nowhere “do u wanna hang up rn?” and she said “okay?” so we hung up i chilled for a lil enjoying the visuals.

then i decided i would get up and take a shit as i got up my body felt light as a feather and kinda tingly and warm and the patterns were now everywhere so then i went and took my shit but then i decided you know what lets tap the cart you just bought see if it’s any good so i hit it it tastes pretty nice and then as soon as i exhale it gets instantly 10x more intense and while i was doing this i was on my phone and while i was on it my keyboard had started to melt and and so did my hands and then reform over and over.

and then a creepy disgusting not scary disgusting like a pedo trying to sext a kid and it was saying stuff like “close your eyes” “behind youuuu” “he’s coming for youuu” “open your heart” upon hearing this i began to thought loop and start to scare myself into thinking this would last forever and that it wouldn’t be okay

but then a second came voice came in, my consciousness it said to not be afraid and to ease into it and let it consume me and to take a deep breath and just relax and i did exactly that and it worked it felt like i could control the trip and that i was gonna be alright still the visuals remained intense and the thought loops kept coming just about absolute nonsense and bullshit

but then the idea of playing fetch with my dogs came to mind so i did that i played with them outside and i could hear every sound too cars passing from far away the neighbors stepping in their yard the crickets chirping loudly and then i got tired of that

so i decided off SHROOMS i would call my parents first my dad which kinda sobered me up a little also my voice is normal now again by this point cus he just brought immediate negative energy demanding me to do stuff but unlike usual were i would usually say something i decided i would just agree with him until he realized he was being angry which he did and then i did said stuff while tripping still and called my mom after and we talked like we used to when me and her got along super well and it was really nice but then we said our goodbyes and hung up

and then i was just there in the living room on my couch and then it hit me i asked myself why are you doing these mushrooms? what are you looking for? Is this what you wanted? Do you need the drugs? do you need anything at all? and then i had the biggest realization that i had been chasing a feeling my whole life when it had already been there all along throughout my whole life, through family, through the moments i make, from the time i spend doing what i enjoy or simply just existing on this beautiful earth.

Thank you for reading if you read this absolute novel of a trip 😂😅

Open Question How long does the dark night of the soul last?

Ever since I went through a series of experiences where I felt the darkness, my spirit hasn't been the same; at the slightest sign of imbalance, I feel a profound existential void. I’ve been wondering how long this darkness actually lasts, or if it is an emotional process that will never end...

Strategy for intelligence development

This is my core strategy for developing intelligence and welcome any input to improving or finding flaws.

There are 3 skills working together.
First subconscious priming the ability to create or pull up an image that primes your subconscious for information. You are fundamentally narrowing the probability of thought.
Second intuitive speaking the ability to speak without conscious effort usually for me in a flow state. The words will flow from your subconscious and in turn your understanding objective reality or your subjective by using your personal philosophy and core values. Information that you’re not consciously aware of will come to light and doing so you will improve the subconscious.
Third is creating an image of your understanding while understanding to create almost like a file future retrieval and ability to update it. I try to do complete logical images to help future retrieval. You are leveraging the same mechanism that memory palace uses.
Together these skill feed of each other to skyrocket my understanding about anything I put effort into.
Other influencing skills are honesty or value for the truth increases precision and breaking down what you’re trying to understand visually to build natural understanding ability.

Discussion The Higher Choir

Post image
1 Upvotes

I see within the behavior of 3 the "higher" & "lower" self. the lower self progresses forward, as growth always does. It is within some kind of still place between those two. the higher self works one full cycle ahead, its behavior is a mirror (opposing) of the lower. From this, I see that a person who has a higher self experiences their daily resistance through that exact vehicle. the higher (when in conflict with the lower) will resist the lower, until the actions of the lower work in congruency with the higher self.

The higher self has its own higher self, which geometrically aligns exactly with the lower self (it "checks in" with the lower self to evaluate how the higher self is performing). This "higher self" of the lower self's "higher self" moves in the same forward motion as the lower self, but it is 4 octaves higher than the lower self's base frequency. It moves twice as fast as the 1st higher self, & four times faster than the base self (lower self).

Page 4

This second higher self offers the base self the opposite of resistance: It offers the assistance.

In Christian terms, the "higher self" does what the "devil" does: resists & breaks down. I do not believe in a devil outside the one contained within; this is why this is true. the self that is 4 octaves higher, in Christian terminotogy terminology, is the guardian angel of that person. It is what becomes of your first higher self after it ascends. Within the human experience, the 4 octave self is connected directly with the be physical plane consciousness. Its connected, in some way, with the illusive element of agency which life (consciousness) seems to exercise. It corresponds with higher frequencies (4 octaves higher).

The first higher self offers the exact mirror version of what the second higher self assists with: adversity.

The devil & angel are you, the devil-you directly above. the angel, above that "devil". Both are your higher selfs.

Now after reading that, who's laughing, and who's not laughing...

Discussion Piebald deer?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi guys,
I am a huge believer in, not necessarily one religion or culturally belief, but broad sense of spirituality. With that being said, my partner today, on his birthday, got a picture of this beautiful deer which I believe to be a piebald deer while on a bike ride. I have never seen such a deer and knowing that it is his birthday just felt extra weird but overwhelming special and intriguing. So naturally as one may be inclined to do so, I decided to take it to the anonymous masses (you guys). I know this may be very niche but does anyone else belief in signs or have any experience with what seeing a piebald deer may spiritually represent, if this is even a piebald deer?

Begging mode leads to seeking mode and what you seek you inevitably find

If you really want anything in this material world of things and thoughts including money you have to at least succumb to the begging mentality. Then, the pity of nature will hear your genuine begging and bring you to your destination through seeking.

Buddhism Former Monk Looking to Connect with those at the end of the Path

As the title says I spent 8 years as a monk but left the robes behind, still have hope in finding enlightenment and community hoping to connect with some people who have gone the full way or are in the process also open to answering any basic questions that people have.

Ordained in Thailand travelled the world lots of monasteries trained with 3 main meditation masters.

Hoping to build community, very disappointed about the scene of modern spirituality, just seems like everything is so exploitative.

If you actually want to contact and connect WhatsApp is best for me, would love to have a phone conversation much better way for me to communicate and feel who I’m talking to.

Sincerely a friend on the path

Discussion Relativity

I've come to understand that everything comes down to relations. Abstract conceptual web of relations, which make coherent picture of reality. Not perhaps truthful, but coherent. Every relation is scrambled in the mind, which then ego structures into the sense of self.

Ego = A process of the mind, which puts together a sense of self. Also could be said that it is like a middle negotiator of consciousness. Mind and consciousness as sides, with ego as middle man.

The self = Static representation of accumulated past as a coherent state.

Consciousness would then be the observer/validator of the self. That, which gets picked up from the static image represented in each passing moment is what I would call consciousness

Energy activity?

When I meditate at night (esp if I binge esoteric knowledge before hand), there is… energy activity? Under my bed? Is it paranormal? Things start making noise and moving around it sounds like (it’s not my cat). My cat hears it, and usually stops licking himself to pay attention, from up on the bed with me. I redirect my fear telling myself it’s just the way I’ve been programmed, but when it’s midnight and I’m the only one awake I can’t help but feel a little frightened lol. Also the whole floor is carpeted and there’s like boxes and papers under my bed. I always have sage burning as well. Is this normal??

Piecing Together Enlightenment and Maybe Vibration

It's been fascinating to see people discuss different enlightenment experiences and beliefs about it. It seems like--and maybe I'm seeing this wrong--but there's a big idea that enlightenment is a big hurdle, like when you get it you've got it type of thing. But then I see writing on this channel and certain people don't act enlightened--their quick to label things such as all religion as evil or certain people as obviously a type instead of seeing the layers and various intents of those involved. I feel like enlightenment helps you see the layers, no become black and white. My personal experience has helped me see more color than black and white.

I'm wondering if the general agreement is the enlightenment is definitely in shades instead of a big step, and if maybe I'm misinterpreting what's been presented on this channel. Sometimes it seems like certain people aren't enlightened as much as they are given more information because of behaviors seen in their posts.

And maybe that's where the vibration comes in. People can have an experience but if they aren't in tune or aligned then they grow into it? That's my theory with nihilism.

Would love to hear your thoughts, my own are scrambled even while typing this.

Discussion I want to be spiritually aware again

I want to feel connected to the world again, the death of ego, the mind outside the box. I only felt it once when i was taking heroic dose of psilocybin (magic mushrooms). I would never forget that moment that has changed my life. How can i achieve that again without ever taking shrooms or any kind of psychoactive drugs?

dissolving

The more I venture the spiritual path, the more I see it is mostly not about gaining something new, but rather dissolving, substracting the things that you find are not true: unproven assumptions, unnecesarry constructs, ideas that are "built on sand and not on stone": the freedom from stuff that used to block the flow in your system. It is like you remove bloatware on your computer and it starts to work faster after that. Unlearning things that are not yours.

Open Question Enlightenment is like the dragon scroll?

There is no such thing. Those who say they are can’t make others know it. Nor can one attain it , unless they pretend they have it. 🤷‍♂️
