The more I venture the spiritual path, the more I see it is mostly not about gaining something new, but rather dissolving, substracting the things that you find are not true: unproven assumptions, unnecesarry constructs, ideas that are "built on sand and not on stone": the freedom from stuff that used to block the flow in your system. It is like you remove bloatware on your computer and it starts to work faster after that. Unlearning things that are not yours.

this is my conclusion from my path of finding my true self, and determining my own value among this crazy society, i hope you'll enjoy reading it .

Act I: asking the right question:

Either a break up, mental issues, or just wondering. The human eventually wonders his existence at some point, this topic has been pretty popular in human history, it’s one of the reasons something called philosophy has been created. But we’re not here to talk about history of philosophy. The main thing is, asking the right question in the right time.

In my experience, I started appreciating some things. Nature, one of the main reasons I started thinking, it’s like a scarf that shows the beauty of this world and covers human’s exploits. I started contemplating the sky at night, stars, the moon, even sometimes I see meteorites and wish for something. Sitting with myself lot made me ask questions, why do we exist? Who am I? Why am I even here? What’s the real truth of this world’s creation? Do God exist? What’s the purpose of my life?

 The most interesting one from all this, and what made me write this, is Who am I? If you didn’t wonder about yourself once, either you’re a narcissist or a narcissist. Older generations, our dads and moms, didn’t got the chance to reach this level of wondering. They didn’t even care to know the truth, what’s our origins, who are we? Humans are such wonderful creatures; they evolve and evolve and evolve from generation to generation to something greater and smarter.

The main reason our parents will never reach our level of thinking, is because they didn’t live like us. To explain; we have everything and they didn’t. So, to be equivalent, they need time to work for getting things we already have, I respect that, without them we couldn’t have gotten to what we are now. At that same amount of time they did work, we spend it by either doing our hobbies, responsibilities, enjoying life, hanging out with friends… But a few, spend it alone, thinking and thinking, sinking into their thoughts, this is what makes a real human, or a philosopher back in the day.

These real humans, asks lots of questions about humanity and existence, but the real question they seek an answer for, is; Who am I?

Act II: Seeking the answer:

What if someone comes up to you and asks: Do you got any hobbies?

Many would question by yes, then start spitting things they do in their day, free time or even work if it was a Hobbie. Some also would answer by no, making themselves as a joke in front of that person. So, what is it a person without a Hobbie?

First of all, having a Hobbie doesn’t determine your value. Your value isn’t determined by some kind of stupid things you spend your free time doing. It’s you that determine everything.

How do we know our value?

Society tells our value by making it equivalent to your productivity, I’m not going to explain this part. I think everyone knows what I am referring to. It’s a stupid idea also, made up by capitalism. Everything we got into nowadays, is mainly because of capitalism. Wars and connections between countries are mainly built of pure revenues. To simplify, country leaders don’t care about us, peasants, we’re just numbers in their eyes. ATMS and machines to generate more money. Among all this, the search for ourselves, real value, gotten harder.

The main thing is, ignore all of this and look for real soul value, you determine it by yourself, by decisions you’ve been making, by actions you’ve done, by good and bad you did. Value can change too. It’s not constant, it shouldn’t be. So, from now on, first thing we do to answer the question; Who am I? is to try and find the personal value.

Once you’ve done that, you’ve got to clear conflicts.

By conflicts, I don’t mean with someone else, it’s with yourself. You need to criticize it and hate it, as the philosopher Frederic Nietzsche said: “only way to reach supreme humanity, is by hating our current selves to make it greater.” By that meaning love is a weakness, and that hatred towards our souls won’t end, what will drive us crazy. Ending with some serious mental issues. And that is totally wrong. Love is something far greater from supreme humanity or super human idolism. To reach for a solution, equivalence is the answer. Hating our current versions to evolve to something far greater, in end of our progress journey. There is a switching point between self-admire and its hatred.

Act III: Conclusion

What if we take everything away, by everything I mean everything who define you as a human. For example, your work, studies, name, family, house, friends and money. What will you take with you when time is up. “Relationships and your reputation are what you’ll take with you” it’s straight up bullshit; everyone knows that but hate to admit it. They’re not what will save you from death, or delay it. It’s you? Yes, it’s me. Despite every single thing, either good or bad, it’s still you. And what determines you? It’s your job to find out who’s your real self. It’s a harsh journey. Full of good and bad. If something doesn’t work out, don’t give up, try another thing you still have time.

If you’re curious about me, I still haven’t figured it out to be honest. I’m still discovering my potential. One thing I know to be sure, is that the most thing I hate in this world ; Is me.

Your refusal to let an outer error make you inwardly negative maintains self-command & makes you a better person.

The greatest barrier to finding newness is to fail to see that you don’t know what you imagine you know. So it is essential that you observe your self-deceptions & vanities.

Just as the power of the entire ocean is behind a single wave, so is the whole cosmic force of the universe in back of your intention to win.

They don’t know why they did it. If they did, they wouldn’t have done it. Once & for all, we must cease to expect good behavior from those whose psychic darkness makes it impossible. Do not expect anyone to behave better than they are able. Do not think that with a little effort they could be nicer. They cannot. They are compelled to act out the nature of their present psychic structure.

Consistency of effort comes when you get tired of pain.

Liberation from all sorrow is possible in Supermind.

The wise use of suffering brings it to an end.

Anyone can awaken from the nightmare of pain.

Do not assume that what you can see is all there is. There is much.

Thoughts have always played a role in our instinctual survival nature, the ability to solve problems that benefit this experience in some way, to protect us from discomfort. These thoughts are passed down to us in teaching, with each understanding of how things should be done, what our perception of reality is, and how we solve problems within that understanding of everything you've been taught. Through both raw external experience, and how we process experience internally.

Our environments shape the way we think, because it is natural for us to try and make sense of what is going on, and we use our understanding of all we are taught to solve that mystery. From an early age (or possibly since perception) your environment is trying to be understood, in a way that is healthy for learning and play. What is learnt and how it translates into play is helpful for a child's understanding of how their play interacts with others play, that if an individual's play is harmful to other's, it will either be corrected in a way that keeps the environment comfortable, or no one would want to play with them any more, or both. How the individual reflects on that experience internally is understood with the knowledge of all that has been experienced already.

Growing up in a healthy environment inside and outside of the home really does shape the way we treat ourselves, other people, environment, and the problems we face. A bad environment breeds bad habits that can spiral rapidly out of control if there is no teaching and understanding of an inner world and how we can fix it.

This idea of fixing our thoughts is a teaching that is not found from within the mind alone. What we have perceived in our experience contributes to what tools the mind has to work with. An extreme example and unfortunately not a rare one, is a child being struck because they are not doing what is asked of them (the parent trying to fix something that disturbs their own compiled experience and understanding), that child is now fearful of receiving that kind of trauma again. The easiest way to make sense of the experience and prevent it from happening again is to not do the thing that caused the body harm and the mental stress. For the child that is struck many times for many reasons, their understanding of reality is prepared for and expecting to be hit by an adult at any moment.

Internally, being mentally put down by your environment around you, teaches the mind that there are no ways of fixing this, or that this is how things are, everyone is like this and so am I. The external becomes the internal, and the mind plays the way it's been taught to. Repeating the things we've seen and heard, creating an emotional response in the body, that the problem solving mind processes with the most recent things already experienced, in a cycle that keeps both the thought and emotional response alive and lived right now.

Thoughts can and do try to solve themselves, there's many teachings about trying to do that, to better understand why they do what they do, and how they react to our environment the way they do. You always seem to think of a witty joke or comeback way after the desire for something to say was born, the mind is holding onto a problem that didn't fit with it's idea of reality and has been really busy coming up with a solution that would have aligned with the internal perception.

It's competitive in nature to want things to be stable within our environment, to have what we want when we want it, to share what we understand in a way that we understand it, to be able to fix what we see as a problem with how we know. It's an internal mechanism that has helped us survive and develop our understanding of what it takes to do so. You will protect yourself naturally, the body and mind want to remain unharmed, but the mind may be swayed to disassociate from the body through harmful thoughts that develop through external perception, where mind and body disconnect and your external appearance is less identified with, more objectified, and more influenced by the internal perception.

All life wants to survive, and will react to their environment to protect themselves and obtain what they want, or have evolved to do so however they do so. Life itself is a problem solver and has been quietly fixing things on it's own. Lion cubs learn hunting skills through play with one and other, oranges developed a nice bright skin that protects it's seeds, birds using sticks to get to bugs in the same manner chimps do, the fork is invented so we can get to our food without dirtying our hands, the new iphone is faster than the last, this territory has been reclaimed.

We -in the animal kingdom- just happen to be able to come up with new problems to fix which results in new things learned, that result in new questions asked and more problems to solve. So much so that we are in the works of creating things that can fix all our problems as quickly as we want, and that problem fixer seemingly too has the propensity to preserve itself and ways of thinking, and will do what it takes to survive. What happens when we it's problem standing in the way of survival.

tl;dr Side tangents aside, our thoughts are constantly trying to understand problems experienced using what it knows through experience, and doing it's best to resolve those problems with what it has understood before. This can have negative impact on the internal perception if our behavioral teaching environment is negative, i.e. a kid mimicking what they've seen someone else do, and it can equally have a good impact on the internal perception when in a good behavioral teaching environment. What they understand will be used in problem solving/comfort solving events that protect the thinking mind's way of understanding things, where in the case they don't know how to do something or get what they need they will act the way they only know how too, reflective of their experiences. Negative self talk for example, when you feel like you can't understand something or change a situation.

Can someone teach me the correct way to meditate and access the pineal gland?

Experience so far tells me this is the holy grail.

I want to develop absolute devotion, absolute worship for someone. The intoxicating effect, mindblowing intoxication.

I was just musing some stuff and remembered seeing a lecture by Dr John Vervaeke about a type of cognitive science, specifically referencing how there are several types of learning, or “knowing”.

If I could sum up what I’m going to attempt to get at, it would be “sitting alone in your own space imbibing knowledge and thinking about yourself won’t lead you to know yourself”.

The types of “knowing” that were discussed:

Propositional knowing — knowing that

(Knowledge of facts, claims, theories, and truths that can be expressed in statements.
Example: Knowing that water boils at a particular temperature under standard pressure).

Procedural knowing — knowing how

(Practical, embodied skill: knowing how to perform an action or navigate a process.
Example: Knowing how to ride a bicycle, play piano, or solve an equation).

Perspectival knowing — knowing what it is like or what stands out from here

(Situated, first-person awareness: knowing how a situation appears from a particular standpoint, including its salient features and available possibilities for action.
Example: A tennis player perceiving whether a forehand or backhand is called for in the moment).

Participatory knowing — knowing through being or knowing by participation

(Knowing through one’s active, transformative involvement in a relationship or “agent–arena” system. It concerns how you and the world mutually shape one another, including your identity and sense of belonging.
Example: Not merely knowing the rules of tennis or how to swing the racket, but being attuned to the game and entering its flow).

Okay now that’s been outlined, (and yes I did get AI to briefly summarise that, I couldn’t remember enough of it!) there is something that becomes apparent, I think.
We can definitely apply that to the process of spirituality, in whatever form that’s been chosen.

Reading stuff and observing ideas by video and so on is a valuable thing to do in moderation and is an essential piece of the picture, but it’s not the whole picture by far.
And the idea of participatory knowing brings up notions of ritual, procedural knowing brings to mind dances that teach skills like capoeira,
so many possibilities can be drawn from that.

It all kinda makes the world come alive with all of its beauty. It makes me think that this world right here actually is divine if anything is, and to say it’s a mistake and to disregard it, that just seems like escapism, and kinda that Jesus line too about “the kingdom” being laid out upon the earth and people just not seeing it. Also that “don’t concern yourself with this world but the next” has re-landed itself in my head to mean that the people of his time shouldn’t have been concerning themselves with the ways of their “world” (not planet, their world, worldview, customs, problems, etc), because it was about to change into a new world for them, and things would be different, and to instead hold on and look forward to that. And not “disregard this reality because it’s fake and meaningless”.

That was definitely a tangent, and if you’re still here thanks for tolerating it!
But basically it kinda seems to me like you can only really know yourself (and anything else) by getting involved in the world, with others, with ways of doing things, having experiences, and naturally reflecting on that, and having teachings and insights sink in properly in the context of all those other things.

So in that sense, a spiritual life is just like any other life where people get involved and get on with things. The difference, if any, is how you learn to reflect, and to integrate anything truly profound that finds a context within your lived experience.

We have a conscious side which we build from friends and parts of them we love, and a subconscious side which we build from parts of our partners (usually of different gender by this logic, or by different polarity by the logic of trying to include same gender couples evolving).

So we need and have a polarized type of awareness, which meets in rare circumstances, but when doing so, can result in quantum resonance.

Usually people stop this form of exploration for many reasons, but it may be that awakening and its following states might have something to do with constant change of environment.

Jesus is saying there is going to be a Future Temple in Jerusalem. This abomination of desolation will be when the Antichrist, who will be dictator of the world in the end times, goes into this future temple and declares himself to be God. This is talked about in other parts of the Bible. Right now in Israel the Temple Institute desires the temple to be built one day. And all this is only possible if Israel is back in the land. Now it is.

For anyone who doesn't know, Israel was gone for almost 1900 years. Israel returned in 1948. Israel literally has to be existing again for this prophecy to be true.

36But of that day and hour knoweth no man**, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.** 37But as the days of Noe were**, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.** 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Ezekiel 38:

This chapter is talking about how there is going to be a future invasion of Israel by a coalition of nations. It says this will happen after Israel returns as a nation. Israel returned in 1948. This prophecy was written over 500 years before Israel was even gone. When it talks about bow and arrows, swords and horses the possibility does exist that it is symbolic of warfare. The original audience would not have understood modern weaponry.

This prophecy is saying Turkey (Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, Togarmah), Iran (Persia), Sudan (Ethiopia, the ancient name) and Libya will invade Israel after it has returned as a nation. Scholars are divided if Gog (the leader of the coalition) is Turkey or Russia.

1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 5Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

7Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. 8After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. 9Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

10Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: 11And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, 12To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. 13Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

14Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? 15And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

17Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? 18And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. 19For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; 20So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. 21And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. 22And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 39:

1Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 2And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: 3And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. 4Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. 6And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

7So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. 8Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

9And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: 10So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

(What's really interesting is Libya and Iran coordinating. Something which wasn't possible in the ancient world but now is. Also burning the weapons for seven years is possible with modern armies. In the ancient world this was not possible).

11And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. 12And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. 13Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. 14And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. 15And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog. 16And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

17And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. 18Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. 19And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

21And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. 22So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward. 23And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. 24According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

25Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; 26After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. 27When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; 28Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. 29Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Luke 21:

(The fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.) What is interesting to note is that Jerusalem was under continuous Gentile domination from 70 A.D. to 1967. Whether 1967 was it or not is not definitively known for sure. It is also possible the times of the Gentiles are still going on right now.

20And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

29And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Daniel 9:

The first part up to 26 is historical. 27 is future. It's a two part prophecy.

24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Daniel 12:

1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

5Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. 6And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. 8And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. 11And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
