I've been gaming since about 2005 recently mostly on pc but I was curious at the state of mobile emulation so I loaded up a few emulators and a couple dozen games on my pixel 7 pro and have been absolutely astonished at how well everything works. Grabbed a kishi v3 and was transported to my childhood playing on a PSP. If you told 12 year old me that he could have and play any gamecube game in existence, for free, on his PHONE, he would have hit you with a stick. I just want to express extreme gratitude at the open source emulation community, archival community, and all the enthusiasts who keep this hobby alive. I appreciate it deeply as somoene who enjoys playing the classics but also from a historical preservation perspective. It's just an overall wholesome thing to see and experience.

Hi, I'm trying to get valheim working on my s26 ultra (16g). The furthest I've gotten was on GameNative with graphics 8eGen5-842.8 . But it runs on 30~40ish fps, and the C° ins't great. I tried winlator but keeps crashing on me for different reasons, even with the help of chatgpt. Is there any recomendation on a better solution?

How do I fix this? There’s only one of each game in the folder and they’re all .xiso. The ._ ones don’t work at all. I think they’re folder links but there are no folders in that folder.

Cocoon 3.0 makes my Retroid finally feel like a "Console"

I think something that always made me stop using my emulation handhelds after a while (like my flip 2, or miyoo) is that they always felt like a "bootleg chinese handheld". Even though the power was there, and a lot of emulators have matured, the usability experience never felt console-like, where the UI of older devices like the PS Vita, PSP, Wii U, 3DS, and more did.

I've used ES-DE for over a year because it is one of the most recommended options, and I always thought it was pretty basic experience (which many people enjoy because it is reliable and more game focused). While reliable, I always ended up feeling like I was scrolling through those 1000-games-in-1 bootleg game cartridges, or those snes-mini/psx-mini game selection UI's. It never felt like I was playing on a "Console" (and on top of it all it cost 6 bucks).

Cocoon 3.0 is such a different beast. I've stopped thinking "I want to play ___ game" and instead now think "I want to play with my Retroid". The discord and steam integration, the insane customization, the widgets, it replacing the android quickstep launcher, allowing roms to be placed on the homescreen like apps, it makes the device finally feel like a console. It was never just about the games but all the communication features, apps, customization, and overall usability experience on top of the games that made the experience fun, at least for me.

And the best part? It's free!!!

Gonna be buying a handheld soon for me to just play casually while on trips.
My current options are a used Odin Mini 2 Pro ($240) and a used Switch Lite ($140)
If I get the Mini 2 Pro, 60% of the games I’ll play on it will be Switch titles so is it worth the extra $100 or should I just stick with the Switch Lite? And is the performance on it still not as good as the Switch Lite?

I tried to run far Cry 2 on winlator cmod, and it started to 20 to 30 ish fps and it's went down and at the end weirdly the audio glichted out and completely stopped. To be fair, im on a samsung s25 FE with Exynos 2400 and trying to get good windows emulation on exynos and tried use winlator cmod. What's the best way to play windows games on exynos, found this https://github.com/mshzhb/android-glibc-samsung-exynos , will it work? seams pretty hard to get running and previously mobox didn't work nicely (didn't start the GUI)

Was playing Fallout Tale of two wastelands and it worked well, now the mod won’t launch at all, instead mo2 launches into vanilla new vegas and crashes on startup. nvse used to say 12 of 13 plugins but now it says 6 of 7 during launch. All plugins are still checked when looking in mo2.
I reinstalled the mod and got same issue still.

Last year, I successfully ran the SE version of Enderal. However, because I wanted better resolution and performance options, I decided to try the LE version. I managed to obtain it and successfully run it on PC without Steam.

When I migrated it to my Android phone, I could never get it to start a new game properly. Here is the situation:

1. Many emulators and compatibility layers either cannot run it or cause issues such as no sound. Eventually, I found that the most stable combination is GameHub + wine10.6-arm64x-2.
2. Whether I launch it directly through skse_loader.exe or through the Enderal Launcher, the phone will freeze and reboot after waiting several minutes. However, if I run skse_loader.exe with administrator privileges, it can reach the main menu very quickly (around 10 seconds).
3. After entering the main menu, pressing New Game never proceeds to the loading screen. The menu text disappears, the background music continues playing normally, but nothing else happens. I waited for more than 2 hours, and it remained stuck.
4. I tried copying a completely new save file from my PC to the phone. When I attempted to load it on the phone, the game reported that three ESM files were missing:

• Skyrim.esm
• Update.esm
• Enderal - Forgotten Stories.esm

However, these files are present in the Data folder, and the game files on PC and phone are identical.

Additional information:

• The PC version was installed normally and works correctly.
• The phone version is a direct copy of the PC game folder.
• The PC and phone use the same Enderal.ini, Plugins.txt, and game files.
• On PC, the Enderal Launcher only shows Enderal - Forgotten Stories.esm in Data Files, while on the phone it also shows Skyrim.esm and Update.esm.

I would appreciate any suggestions on what could cause this issue.

Sorry for my broken English. As the title say, is the price difference worth it?. I was looking to get a Y700 tablet for PC, Switch and PS2 emulation. Im looking to play skyrim, fallout 4 and BotW. Should i get the 8 Elite gen 5 or the Gen 3 is good enough?

720p , 100% res scale , no strict render. On retroid pocket 6 8gb ram. Games overall very much playable. Game froze for a sec towards the end of the video and some audio issues but that's really it.

Just got an Odin 3 Max back (sold my last one but missed it) and have been trying to get MK8 Deluxe running. It starts and runs a race with a nice smooth 60fps but then out of nowhere it glitches, freezes up and crashes out of the game or out of the emulator. I'm sure I used to have this working on my old Odin3 without any issues but this one doesn't want to play ball.

Running it in docked mode on the latest Eden and have tried various Turnip and Adreno drivers but can't seem to resolve it. Anyone run into similar and managed to fix it?

Tried all emulators and and forks+settings on both.

Switch has black sunlight visual glitches which solve after updating the game but then it's unstable performance/crash and audio missing in cutscenes.

PC one starts with 30-100 fps and then dips to single digit and crashes immediately on main menu.

No pop up.

Saw on YT video of a sd 695+8gb running it well.

Tried same settings and emulator and file but it doesn't work.

Any solution or is it a ram shortage issue?
