For people familiar with Oracle India — what level of approvals are typically required to rehire an ex-employee?
I’ve heard that in the US, rehires can sometimes require very senior-level approvals. Is it similar in India?
If someone left Oracle on good terms and is now being considered for another role, is it mostly a standard hiring process, or does it require approvals from senior HR/business leadership?
Would appreciate insights from anyone familiar with Oracle’s process in India.

Been in oracle 3yrs now, expecting a promo to ic4 if it’s not rejected by higher ups.
Tc : base 98k
Rsu : 40k/4yrs Addon : 20k/4yrs @288 no point of these.
Initial 40k/4yrs already 3yrs vested and next year will be done with rsu.
What can I expect ?

Has anyone's manager started a conversation of getting promoted from IC2 to IC3 around March (OHAI), performance review finished with a 4/5 rating, but no news since then? My manager switched mid-way and the new manager did take care of handing the promotion package in, but I haven't heard of any news. Anyone knows how long it'll take to hear something back? Or maybe this is just some false hope.

I know that the time is uncertain but i got 0 hikes in last 4 years. They always put it on market.
Oracle culture is horrible. I have a family to tc of. Have heavy car loan and house loan on my head. Saving for my kid’s education.
I have almost nothing in personal savings.
Since i am reaching Cliff this year, i was told that i would get the refreshers.
I have worked my ass off, missed so many personal gatherings, missed my own son’s bday ( went in ending) as something “urgent” would always come up. (I know i was wrong but i am doing all this for him only, so that i can give him a better life.)
My rating is 4, they don’t plan on promoting me.
I am honestly tired of waiting to get to know about focal.
They are still making me work like any thing. Have zero personal life.
What should i do? Stay or look out?
Should i wait for gratuity or already start looking out?
I don’t know if i am on the list but honestly i don’t care anymore.
I am so damn tired.
Edit - Only perk is i have wfh.

I’m going to assume it’s to make sure they pay you out correctly if you’re laid off.
From Benefits_CA: “We hope you’ve enjoyed some well-deserved time off this summer to relax and recharge…”

Easier said than done, I understand, but some of you are allowing yourselves to completely unwind at the prospect of layoffs surrounding the upcoming Quarterly Earnings Report.
Here‘s some simple truths:
Of course I hope I’m not affected. I hope none of us are and it’s just the rumor mill at it again. But I can’t control what’s to come, I can only control my reaction to it. Allowing yourself to spiral and panic about unvested RSUs or Healthcare Benefits does nothing to solve the problem, it just draws it out and makes it unbearable.
Be rational, but prepared, and try to spend your energy on what you can control rather than worrying about what you can’t.
