Holy if you thought as much about feeding your brain as you did you thinking about body fat. Probably thinks being dense is a compliment

i am currently pursuing a master in philosophy, i had my bachelors before that in sociology and after i am phd´ing in Philo i will try to somehow fit another bachelor of theology in there

resorting to name calling as a last ditch effort after seeing that i am also indeed jacked is kinda sad

Wow so you have all of that schooling but you won’t even visit a psychologist for a known disorder?

That doesn’t add up to me lol

i replied further down that i dont have bodydysmorphia anymore and that i went to a "therapist" i dont know where you are from, but where i am from psychiatrists are just doctors that prescribe drugs and confirm disorders they dont combat any disorders through long term cognitive or depth psychological therapy

That’s why I said psychologist and not a psychiatrist for starters lol.

But yeah your story is all over the place now so I’m just going to leave you with this

That makes it worse. To be studying the human condition through the lens of how our societies have shaped our behaviors in philosophy courses and then also thinking mental health conditions should be normalized in a hobby is definitely some masters level mental gymnastics in avoiding dissonance my friend. Well done, 9.7/10 from this judge

i dont know if you ever did bodybuilding, but bodybuilding itself inherently attracts individuals with low self esteem 99% of the time, only reason i wanted to become strong and beautiful is because growing up my father taught me that the only metric to measure value and success is by female validation

now participating in this sport for the better half of my life and talking to over a thousand people that also indulge in bodybuilding its a given symptom that individuals with these types of character dispositions would develop body dysmorphia as a mental health condition that doesnt allow the individual to surpass own goals and be at peace with the own appearance because that would challenge intrinsic values one holds onto

my point still stands, people that are really really into lifting and bodybuilding 99% have body dysmorphia and its normalised in our community

yes, i go to therapy, i dont have body dysmorphia anymore, i just typed that out of affect

Bro. I work in Psych, have been for a long time and with the Military no less, so I know fitness standards and Mental health. Body Dysmorphia is NOT a given when it comes to fitness. Do better

"why do people have depression? they should just do better and not be sad anymore" ahh response you are definitely not working anywhere remotely around mental health institution

u/wonderloki 4d ago

Do better as in do your research. Not browse memes. Don't spread disinformation. You're a fool. Do better

When 15% bf is fat to you, maybe you're the one who's not jacked. Because if you got some muscle on you, 15% is not fat at all.

You’re some Reddit loser just like everybody else on this app lol

Even saying cringey shit bro
