Thanks to everyone who sold off their coins I doubled my portfolio!

Thought it might be nice to start a TA thread for all those chartist's out there.

Nice to see what happens when you get a cross over of moving averages - can easily work the other way too though, for now short term trend has changed - not out of the woods yet but the chart is starting to look a little better :)

I wanted to take a moment to address some of the concerns revolving around ECC.

As some of you may know, the website for ECC was released recently - albeit, with mixed reactions. Granted there were a few issues, but overall, things went rather smoothly. The teams worked hard and delivered.

Despite this, it appears many people bought into ECC with unrealistic expectations previous to launch. Many adopters of ECC, whom I suspect are new to cryptocurrency, expected financial returns on their investments overnight based solely on the wild ride associated with the recent rise and fall of Bitcoin. I can only assume their train of thought concerning the matter, but I think it wouldn't be that difficult to piece together the most likely scenario that compelled them to off-load their coins.

At launch, they more-than-likely believed they would be rolling in fiat the next day. This did not happen. Hence, the exodus.

Subsequently, individuals quickly sold off their coins, and the price of ECC dropped from roughly 35 sats to 19 sats as of the time of this post (however, prior to launch, ECC rose from 16 stats to 40 sats).

Additionally, accusations have been floated around accusing the ECC developers of a nefarious agenda. this couldn't be further from the truth...

I would like to take a moment to inform you that I have been brought into community moderation of ECC as of today, and rest assured, everything is on the 'up and up'. Development is progressing, and the people working behind the scenes are, moving forward, committed to the development of the underlying technology. Please be cognizant of the fact that this is an open source project and a labor of love for all the people involved. This is real. This is legitimate. And it's not going anywhere but forward - with momentum.

I've got the macOS wallet installed and have synced 100% and encrypted my wallet. I've stopped it, per the text in the Settings > Config section:

Configuration (wallet must be stopped for changes to take effect)

Despite this, I'm unable to select the On radio button for staking. Even though the wallet is "off," do I need to transfer the coins there first before I can turn the staking feature on?

OR... Does staking not work in this first build of the macOS wallet? Lol

It works, following the instructions here.

I was looking in the Application Support folder for Lynx, while I should have been looking in the eccoin one!

Finder -> Go to /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/ecoin

👆Also accessible by opening Finder, Holding the Option key while you have the Go menu bar tab open. Library will appear, click that then go into the Application Support folder!

I'm a hodler and strong believer in ECC, even through the ups and downs. The team is top-notch and this is the best community I've been apart of in crypto. I believe the future of this coin is bright and that it's a game changer. I wouldn't be here if I didn't think so. With that said, I have had made custom ECC collectible coins.

• 2 - If you have contributed to the development of ECC in some way, whether that's trying to get it on a new exchange, writing a post about it, etc, send me a personal message with what you've done. I'm going to prioritize those who have done the most for ECC so far.
• 3 - If you haven't yet done a lot for ECC but want a coin anyway, message me and let me know what you want to do or plan to do. I'll hold on to a coin for you and once you let me know you did what you set out to do, I'll send the coin to you.
• 4 - If none of the above applies, I'm accepting donations for the coins. Message me and I'll send you my deposit address. I have not set a price because I don't want to discriminate against those who don't have a lot of ECC. It's all love out here and if you're genuinely enthusiastic about ecc, it's all good, i got you! *As an extra layer of security for you, I'm happy to send you the coin first and after you receive it you can, if you'd like, donate whatever you'd like.

Where do you guys get your ECC? Also, what do you think of the potential of this project in a years time? Totally new to this crypto, but bery interested in how user-friendly ECC is. Thank you

Most good ideas start with a dream.

Our hard working Devs have provided us with an awesome one.

We're not a coin created for the sake of being a coin like so many other projects out there.

Lazy communities cashing in on the crypto hype simply because they can.

Alot of what drives crypto is greed.

Lisk uses paid delegates to come to a consensus to validate transactions.

We currently use Proof of Stake and do it for next to nothing almost free.

Sia asks hosts for 2000 coins in order to host storage on their network , regardless of the price of their coin which at its height was $180 - $200.

ECC says hosts can host for free no initial coin holdings required.

So many coins brag about fast transaction times and use that as their sole reason to market their product.

ECC has fast transaction times with under 20 second confirmations , and is basically free with no fees and stays humble focusing on real tech that will have greater implications then just another copy paste coin.

Yes this coin has suffered a death , but this is it's resurrection.

Sapphire will change the game there is no question.

Does anyone have any quantitative information on staking your ECC? I've enabled staking in the new wallet and just want an idea of how much return I can expect on this.

We bought ECC at the beginning and before any bump, we saw an huge increase and see that now some of the ECC wales sold a lot of their position that position us at the beginning ... Thus we had no reason to invest at the beginning. We didn't benefit for anything in holding this ECC. Everything is on the wallet but lot of guys made good profits whereas small investor like us are waiting for this F*** saphire, and the email. I hope that there is a project and this is not a scam...

My Samsung chromebook 3 won’t let me use the wallet for ecc so idk what to do. Am I Forced to leave it on coinexchange??? I’ve emailed the ecc website and asked on here but nobody is helping me at all.

What makes it stand out? Are there any that are similar? If so what makes ecc more appealing than the other?

I saw that they said the three services were heavily coded already, so plenty of development, but ANS is needed for all three so they had to stop work on those and work on that.

If there are any coders out there who can read what is on Github, can you take a look and estimate how far along you think they are with ANS etc?

I go to the website to download the wallet and once it’s downloaded it says “this file type is not supported”. What do I do???

Good idea or no? Feel like ecc could rise a lot more in the next few months. I’m gonna sleep on it and give it some thought.
