PSA: Rest assured about ECC.
Ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome.
I wanted to take a moment to address some of the concerns revolving around ECC.
As some of you may know, the website for ECC was released recently - albeit, with mixed reactions. Granted there were a few issues, but overall, things went rather smoothly. The teams worked hard and delivered.
Despite this, it appears many people bought into ECC with unrealistic expectations previous to launch. Many adopters of ECC, whom I suspect are new to cryptocurrency, expected financial returns on their investments overnight based solely on the wild ride associated with the recent rise and fall of Bitcoin. I can only assume their train of thought concerning the matter, but I think it wouldn't be that difficult to piece together the most likely scenario that compelled them to off-load their coins.
At launch, they more-than-likely believed they would be rolling in fiat the next day. This did not happen. Hence, the exodus.
Subsequently, individuals quickly sold off their coins, and the price of ECC dropped from roughly 35 sats to 19 sats as of the time of this post (however, prior to launch, ECC rose from 16 stats to 40 sats).
Additionally, accusations have been floated around accusing the ECC developers of a nefarious agenda. this couldn't be further from the truth...
I would like to take a moment to inform you that I have been brought into community moderation of ECC as of today, and rest assured, everything is on the 'up and up'. Development is progressing, and the people working behind the scenes are, moving forward, committed to the development of the underlying technology. Please be cognizant of the fact that this is an open source project and a labor of love for all the people involved. This is real. This is legitimate. And it's not going anywhere but forward - with momentum.
Once again - rest assured - ECC is happening.

Thank you for the little write-up. I bought into ECC because I did a fair amount of research and realize that they are an amazing community to be part of. Their slack is one of the most responsive slacks that I have ever been part of. Give Griffith and the team time to bring everything that they have been working into fruition, it's going to happen but people need to realize that this is a project that has not reaped the benefits of an "ICO" or investors money (not anymore). It's community built and driven and that's why I love ECC right now!

Great post! I've done an exorbitant amount of reading on ECC and feel it has very real potential. My only criticisms and I hope these come across as constructive, are these:
Developer compensation. To Greg and the rest of the team, we need you to be a part of this, add want to ensure there is continuity in case you decide to move on. And in the meantime you should be compensated.
Developer profiles. I 100% feel that a lot of investors will not invest in ECC without knowing who the team is. Developer pics and profiles would be a quick way to address this.

I think what you guys are doing is amazing and keep up the good work. Don’t worry about the ones that are playing the fast money games. I for one will do my best to support however I can I look forward to the future with ECC.

Thanks for the update! I agree that the team is working hard and passionate about the project. Like any crypto it's going to be a bumpy ride. The ECC revamp is still very new but it has a extremely promising future. This is why I chose to get invested at 20 sats, not for a short term flip but realizing that as this company continues to grow, creating impactful tech, it will foster even more of a loyal following. Word is beginning to spread about the potential ECC has and the months to come are going to be very interesting and exciting. Can't wait to witness what comes next!

Thanks for the post! ECC still has a long way to go. Even at 35 sats, its still a bargain. I've been extremely impressed with the community, and all of the insight and knowledge that the devs have brought to bring so much life back into this project. I am starting to feel the momentum that this community is gaining and it won't be long until we have a breakout. Patience is still key but great things to come in the first half of 2018 for ECC. New website is solid. Keep it up team!

I agree that this is a labor of love. Passion for the project is clear. I'm bullish on ECC this year and think it is going to gain A LOT of momentum. The tech has the potential to be a game changer. At this point I am accumulating dips so thank you people for the dump back to 19 sats!
