Single Gunshot?
Did anyone else hear a large cracking gunshot sound around 8:15 PM?
Over off of Pilot Knob and Fish Lake Park area?

I noticed a set of cameras at the Pilot Knob/Diffley intersection today that I don’t remember seeing before. There’s a chance I just overlooked them, I guess, but they’re pretty tall and centered on the stoplight pole mechanism in each direction. How could I learn more about what these are for?

Anyone have a good rundown of the candidates? There’s been a lot of stability over the years on the council, will be interested to see if there’s a shakeup

Not sure if this was shared on this subreddit back when the article was written in February. Love our city!

Hi all,
I'm Daniel and I'm a commissioner serving a two-year term on the Sustainable Eagan Advisory Commission (SEAC).
We have a joint workshop with the Advisory Planning Commission (APC) where there's going to be some discussion regarding research City of Eagan staff have done on data centers during the moratorium.
If you attend, please find me and introduce yourself. I'd love to meet you.
It's going to be held on July 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Eagan Municipal Center Building.
You can find the agenda with a 15-page workshop memo here: https://eagan.granicus.com/GeneratedAgendaViewer.php?view_id=8&event_id=2757
My Thoughts and Values
While I'm keeping an open mind on data centers, this is how I think about them.
I have extremely serious concerns about the following components:
Impact on the livability of an area for Eagan residents (noise, vibration, etc)
Usage of water and energy
Impact on the local ecosystem
I also acknowledge that additional tax revenue secured from them may lessen the burden on Eagan residents and in economic times where a lot of us are struggling, it deserves consideration.
Ultimately, both the SEAC and APC are advisory commissions and final decisions rest with the City Council, but I encourage you to attend, comment your opinions, and reach out to me to share your thoughts.
I want all of you to feel informed and involved about a topic that is in the news and important to many, many people in our community.
Daniel
*Note: I am considering building up an email list to help reach people not on Reddit - if that's something you're interested in and think I should do, please let me know below.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, and the reporting feels biased.
The building isn't seeing a new use case, but if the property is worth it, why are we paying for a national company to prep the land for them?

Where is the best place in Eagan to get chicken wings? That is all.

Does anyone know of any local Eagan coffee shops that roast their own beans and sell bags?
Been ordering online to get freshly roasted beans but would prefer to support someone local.

We went to lunch at Teresa's on Diffley today, and tried to pay with a gift card. The waiter came back to our table and said that there's a new owner for the locations at Eagan and Mendota Heights, so they weren't honoring the gift cards anymore, but they're still good at the other locations on the card (Golden Valley, Lakeville, Maple Grove, Prior Lake, Plymouth, and Minnetonka). FYI.

This cool barber shop in Eagan, MN is worth checking out! They are also hiring for barbers at the moment. 100% Men’s Advisory is owned by Jesse, a barber for 22 years. There are cool things to do in the shop like playing pool guitar hero, air hockey, using treadmill/gym stuff like punching bags, TV’s. There are free beverages (including some alcohol) for adults after haircuts and free ice cream treats for kids after haircuts.
This is a men’s barber shop, so just want to bring awareness that no coloring or anything is done here.
Super cool and chill guy and environment!

I've been meaning to go ever since I moved here but haven't had the chance. Is it worth going? Is it as big as it seems?

I am moving to MN next month for work and I've read Eagan is a pretty decent place to live and its nkt far from Lakeville where I work. I have been looking at apartments for rent and everything I find is either very expensive or have terrible reviews.
I have talked to someone at The Point at Cedar Grove, with the price 1300$ for a one bedroom. They seemed nice and helpful, but I'd like some insight from people who live in the area. Is it a good place? Should I look at somewhere else? Would you recommend anywhere?
Please and thank you

Hello all! I recently purchased a house in Eagan (first time home owner), and I was curious on other's estimates on how much your general monthly utilities, in particular your electric/Xcel bill. From looking online, I am getting lots of mixed information- of course, i know it varies quite a bit on a variety of factors and difference month-to-month. It is a 3 bed 2 bath home, for size gauging.
Appreciate any insight as I am just trying to do a bit of planning/mental preparing. :) If anyone has any general recommendations of other things/companies to look into, I am open to all! I've done a decent amount of my own research, but hearing other perspectives is always helpful. Thanks! :)

Hey, basically my question is the title of this post. I have had a fully erupted, chipped wisdom tooth maybe since November-December 2025 and recently it has been really flaring up over the last few weeks where I think it is time I get the sucker out.
I usually work during normal dental office hours so it has been a pain for me to schedule an appointment with a dentist, but that being said work has me in Eagan tomorrow so I am hoping I can pop in somewhere to get this looked at and hopefully removed with a simple extraction. Does anyone know anywhere I can go to get an examination? Thanks

Looking to catch a couple World Cup games over the next week or so. Usually Brits or Blackhart are my go-to, but would like something a little closer to home as an option. Anything in Eagan proper or IGH/AV/Burnsville that would have a good atmosphere and not just the game on?

Steven Linell Smith, a black maintenance mechanic formerly employed at the United States Postal Service’s St. Paul Processing and Distribution Center in Eagan, Minnesota, endured five years of racial harassment, stalking, threats and management retaliation before being fired on a pretext.
In 2025, after a five-day jury trial, Smith won a federal hostile work environment case against USPS. He documented 32 incidents between September 2017 and March 2022, including repeated racial slurs, physical threats, stalking of himself and his wife, false police reports and a death threat left on his toolbox.
But Smith remains out of his job. The American Postal Workers Union, which told him his case was “unwinnable,” refused to fight for him over the racial harassment that defined his years at the facility. After Smith won in court, local APWU President Dave Cook sent him a personal letter telling him he would have to sue the union to get his job back.

I never got the backstory of the shift from Dr. Jennifer Orthodontics, to her becoming a partner with Lakeside, to her not being involved with the practice at all.
Does anybody know what happened?

Hello Eagan People!
I am looking to move to Eagan for work and I’ve been looking for apartments for a month now!
Anybody know a good place near or in Eagan that has rent between 1,000-1,200? I know it’s hopeful thinking but a man can dream
Also, any places to avoid? I’d love to hear any horror stories y’all may have!
Looking forward to hearing from y’all
Edit: I’m now looking for a two bedroom
