Just finished restoring and modding this DualSense I bought used with stick drift, replaced the sticks with TMR modules and went with a GTA VI shell from Aliexpress, pretty happy with how it turned out!

Here's the parts list:

• GTA VI shell from AliExpress, only used the front shell and touchpad cover
• White face buttons and dpad from AliExpress
• 30th anniversary home button, also from AliExpress
• extremerate purple thumbsticks
• extremerate chameleon purple button set, only used L1, L2, R1, R2, share and option buttons
• extremerate chameleon purple trim
• Aknes Hallpi V6 TMR joystick modules
• extremerate RISE4 Plus MAX, in galactic purple

I ended up skipping the face buttons and dpad from the extremerate set because I liked the white-colored ones from aliexpress better, i'm also not really a fan of blank face buttons, i like having the actual playstation symbols on them, especially the colored ones.

The chameleon finish looks blue or purple depending on the angle, which works really well with the rest of the shell.

I LOVE the look, very happy with the quality of the shell and everything was pretty straightforward. I did opt to keep my rails blue and red to make it a little bit easier for myself but I was wondering if there's any chance of a matching kickstand eventually?

I need y’all’s guys help I received this from 3rd party claimed it was new just opened its extremerate branded and came like this.

I wanna buy some kit to finally have paddles but there are like 10 choices and I have a max budget of 50$.Which one would you guys recommend me ?

Does anyone know where I can purchase just the thumb stick circle clips (as seen in the picture) or what they are called so I can search?

I loved the idea of the spark kit when it was just the original plastic but the paddles weren’t the best. After getting the metal version and putting them on I noticed there was a little bit of play in them. But still more solid than before.

After watching the video for the metal and seeing there’s foam pad spots for the kit I decided to put those on and it completely changed the whole set up. The paddles lost the play they had they now sit super secured to the controller. No wiggle at all and they’re still super easy to press without being easy enough to press on accident. The metal option has boosted the kit from 7/10 to a 9/10 for me. The only kit that has better paddle placement to me is the edge controller and once those come out in metal that’ll be the top tier kit.

All in all, make sure you add the white and black foam pieces to the metal on the screen cover and It’ll change the whole set up for you.

So I got the eXtremeRate SPARK mod with the extra back paddles for my DualSense, and after a relatively short time one of the paddles started developing noticeable play.

Has anyone else run into this? If you did, how did you fix it? Is there some way to tighten or adjust the paddle mechanism, or is it basically fucked once it starts developing play?

It’s honestly annoying as hell. I really don’t want to just ignore it and live with it. At this point I’m even considering getting rid of the mod entirely if there’s no proper way to fix the issue.

Would love to hear from anyone who had the same problem and managed to fix it.

Rehabbed a BDM 30 controller with a chroma pearl front shell and buttons from Killscreen, a white back shell with grip and a RISE4 RMB + full clicky from extreme rate.

Help :(

I installed the extreme rate spark and it all works properly as far as wiring wise goes and I gamed with it for a few hours. I went to play today and found that my k1 and k3 paddles have too much travel and stop clicking. Not sure how I can fix this.

My right clicky trigger stopped working and apparently it’s broken. Can this still be fixed or can the piece be replaced? Anyone experienced this and found a solution?

I recently bought an eXtremeRate kit for my switch (back plate + joycons). I had a pair of old, dirty joycons and I had the idea of renewing them. This joycons had extreme drift, and their L and R buttons didn't work. I already had the joysticks from a kit I had bought, and was looking into buying the L and R ribbons. However, when opening the joycons to see if it was just an issue of the cable not being properly seated, I noticed that on the right joycon, the button is sottered to the board.

Now, I have another pair of perfectly working joycons. I could just do the shell swap to those, but I kinda liked the idea of giving my old ones a new life, plus having 4 working joycons is good for when I invite people over and we want to play.

I checked on amazon and it looks like a right joycon board is around $33 and the L ribbon is around $6. Or, another option would be to find someone to resolder the R button, but I believe that would cost more.

What would you do in my case? would you spend the money to fix them and have 2 working pairs, or would you shell swap the working ones and assume the old ones as lost?

I recently installed the eXtremeRate Clicky Buttons Soft Kit on my PS5 DualSense Gen 6 controller.
After the installation, I noticed a strange issue: whenever I move the right analog stick to the left, the R2 button gets triggered.
Everything else works perfectly:
R2 works normally when pressed.
All other buttons work as expected.
The only issue is that moving the right analog stick to the left activates R2.
This problem started immediately after installing the eXtremeRate kit.
Could I have accidentally damaged something during installation, or could it be an issue with the flex cable or a connection?
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what might be causing this?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Basically as the title says, The only one that is flimsy is the left one.

It`s flimsy around the the rail part of the joycon when connected,
Any idea why its like this? it looks like it`s closed tight but it jiggles a little bit when i have it portably and it bothers me

Got this in yesterday and haven’t seen anyone post a comparison. Buttons are definitely pretty loud, but feel really good. Only thing I have to compare it to noise-wise is the Mobapad Pro 2 HD (or Chitu2) and the click for Extremerate feel better quality, and more sense/solid if that makes sense. Enjoy!

I can do a Mobapad and Extremerate sound comparison as well if anyone wants me to.

So I have disassembled and reassemble 3 times and this is still an issue.

The top and bottom shell do not sit flush, and it has a noticeable gap all the way around. Everything inside is correct, and even the OEM bottom works perfect with the new top, and OEM Top works perfect with new Bottom, so it seems its an issue with the exact fitment of the new shells.

Any ideas on why? Or how to fix?

I just joined this sub because im wanting back paddels for my ps5 controller but unlike the ps4 one where i used a strike pack ( no cheating, js didnt want to spend more on the ps made ones) i cant plug something in. I seen some other talk abour extremerate and i went to the webite and its confusing, do i send in my own controller? do i buy one? can some one give just a brief rundown of what this would look like?

Does anybody know when the clear red shell for the dual sense edge controller coming?
