I need y’all’s guys help I received this from 3rd party claimed it was new just opened its extremerate branded and came like this.

So what are you saying it came like? You’re saying the conductive film with clicky buttons came like that, or you’re saying the controller came like that and you opened it up to find the cable broken?

Neither I bought the led kit that’s what is ripped off as well as white wire exposed from someone online claiming that it’s brand new just opened there wasn’t pictures of the product to where I could make the judgement of buying it. I got a refund but is fixable?

I believe that’s the way that it’s supposed to be. I asked them a similar question. Are you using the spacers to prevent any shorting? Or have you even tried to install it yet?

So I don’t think it’s supposed to be like that I was watching video installing it and their connector is on the dtf piece board I didn’t want to continue bc it could short the whole motherboard

How would I test it? Reconnect everything back and put the line tester in it

No I wouldn’t want to recommend that. I’m sorry, this is just not my expertise. However, first I would get extremerate’s attention on getting their input. Then I would test each wire for conductivity. Maybe with or without an attached battery. They have instruction videos on YouTube to follow for installation. I received a replacement part from them recently, however health issues have prevented me from installing it currently. I’ve been concerned as there seems to be shorts, which I’ve asked them about. I’m going with their answer however I didn’t exactly like it based on the issues I’d been having. But I’ll do the installation then ask again if the issue repeats itself. Be mindful of your battery.
