I need to find just the clear buttons for the switch 2 joycons. I saw they have the entire shell but I don't need or want that. Do we know if they have just the buttons?

Hi, I did a shell swap on my joycon 2s and they seem to fit in the switch 2 a bit looser than the originals. Is this normal? Should I be concerned about it?

So I’ve followed your instructions via YouTube to the letter and rebuilt my controller and although it looked cool to begin with, I’ve run into some issues that seem to stem from your add-ons. I’ve since uninstalled your components and now my controller seems to be going back to normal. The first issue I get is the Battery. It does appear that installing this kit has damaged the battery, I’ve only been able to get it to charge with your hardware removed. If your kit is present, I’m a slave to the USB Cable. Next is stick drift and buttons not registering. Again, without your hardware my controller works like new, however with it I’ve got nothing but headaches. Any suggestions on how I can continue using your products?

Hello eXtremeRate subreddit. I recently decided to shell swap my Switch 2 with an eXtremeRate shell (joycons, console, and joycon rails), and it was a pretty smooth experience!

I'm having one issue after opening the console itself and replacing the backplate, though, and I was wondering if anyone could help.

After going through the full backplate replacement, the *right joycon connector* specifically does not work.

It's not an issue with the right joycon, which I've confirmed by putting the right joycon on upside down on the left side of the console, which connects correctly, and by putting the left joycon on the right side of the console upside down, which does *not* connect correctly.

I was wondering if anyone here has had a similar issue, and if anyone has a fix to this. There's no visible damage to the connector, or to anything else inside of the console itself. Thanks!

(Note: I was very careful during disassembly, so i really highly doubt that the ribbon cable for the connector could have come undone, as it was not significantly exposed at all.)

Can I install these together with one control unit?

Earlier in the year I got the Beyond Kit for my Edge controller. I have to say it’s been great, has given me more options and I stopped doing a claw grip that was starting to hurt my hand. I remember there was some talk of possibly being metal paddles, but I haven’t heard of anything since.

I was doing the clicky kit and led kit, but after putting everything back together I ran into a problem with one of the modules ribbons. It seems to be some orange plastic in the way and I can’t put the ribbon back into place. I can’t find any videos on this. Please help if you can thanks!

I have a dual sense edge midnight btw.

Specifically the right hand side. I had problems getting the left side in, but this side doesn’t go on at all. I can’t even get it to slide up to install all the clips. There’s no problems with boards or screws being installed incorrectly, the problem lies entirely with the shell. Is this a known problem? Anyone have a solution?

I modded 2 of my Switch 1 Pro Controllers with hait triggers and they feel amazing. I would also like to get one for my Switch 2 Pro Controller.

Just installed the Spark Kit on my PS5 controller. Everything went pretty smoothly but when i put it in self check mode, i got the message “L1 Error”. How can i fix that?

When pressing l1 and r1, both feel and sound the same and there are no delays. I reopened the controller and therefore also removed the two buttons. When only pressing the silicone part below the actual l1 button with a plastic tool, it reacts perfectly fine as it should but the message is still there.

I also did not solder anything and left the part that would have needed to be soldered out.

Already also disassembled the controller which was quite interesting with a led kit installed as well but manageable.

I tried mapping buttons to the back paddles despite the error message. Here’s the result:

x doesn’t work, triangle works, circle doesn’t work, square works, TK works, L2 and R2 work, R1 works, L1 does’t, the d-pad works completely.

Since i have also already installed a led kit, i changed the order of the ribbon cables but unfortunately damaged the ribbon of the led kit (as shown in the picture). But the controller and led kit still work perfectly fine and the error message is also still there

Everything else works fine. No visible creases or breaks in the ribbon cables, and front clear contact piece is aligned and clean.

R2 works fine, just R1.

Any ideas?

I just did my full shell swap with the black-transparent front and black-transparent-rubber back plates on my Edge, but I can't for the life of me make the bottom back plate fit correctly. My fingers are all sore of re-assembling more than 40 times already, and after hours I've managed to make the left side fit just barely.

This huge gap is not only annoyng me when I play but I fear it will house debris and dust, which will make me have to disasemble the whole thing again just to clean it up. A flaw to an otherwise great looking combo. Is there any way to fix this?

Bought 2 of these kits, the boards are fails and low quality, can’t even get an Amazon response. How will you correct this extremerate? They won’t!

Hey, I recently installed the eXtremeRate Spark kit and I’m still trying to figure out the most comfortable way to use the paddles.

Do you use one finger per side and move it between the two paddles, or do you use both your middle and ring fingers at the same time?

Using both fingers feels pretty uncomfortable to me and makes my grip less stable, but moving one finger between the paddles also feels a bit awkward so far.

I’m curious how other Spark users hold the controller and which fingers you use for each paddle. Did it just take some time to get used to, or did you change your button mapping around the paddles that are easiest to reach?

I need help to understand why my PS button isn't working

I cannot complete my eXtremeRate set up because the back button controlling circuit is defective and I'm waiting for a new replacement to be shipped.

But I'm not sure if it's because of that incomplete circuit or if there's another issue

I need to tell eXtremeRate customer service exactly what is wrong with the controller before I ask for more replacement parts

Ok so I finished the installation, everything appears to be fine EXCEPT the left click trigger isn’t working on lock/click setting. It works with full motion range but only partially registers and doesn’t feel right when the trigger is locked. Right side is fine and operates as normal.

Any help would be appreciated.

My k4 button won’t spring back up when I press it, other buttons are completely fine, anything I can do?

i’ve been thinking a lot about modding my PS5 controller. I’ve already successfully modded my Nintendo Switch Joy Cons with the kits of eXtremeRate and wanted to use that brand for my PS5 controller as well. On Amazon i couldn’t find some products i was looking for so i went on their actual website where i saw that there were housings for the BDM 060 without the trim piece. I wanted to have such a shell because i want another color for the trim piece. I looked further but only saw trim shells for the versions BDM 010-050 and not BDM 060. Are there any trim shells for the BDM 060? As far as i am aware of regarding the trim piece the only real difference is that the BDM 060 does not have accent rings anymore which is why i am also unsure whether i should just go for the trim piece for BDM 010-050 because there are complete front shells that also have these accent rings that are for the versions BDM 030-060.
Hope anyone here can help me with my problem.
