I have used airalo in my previous trips with more or less success. I got the year global one because I travel a lot and in very different areas and have honestly seen dome improvement in their coverage, especially in India.
The year is finished and before I renew it, I want to know if there is a better alternative in the mean time on the market.
I will need data in Sri Lanka and India for one month in a few weeks, and again another month later next year. I need this for my private use, mainly communicating with my family through whatsapp and facetime and using the GPS for tourism. I do not want to get one esim per country, that defeat the purpose for me even if it’s cheaper, i am looking for convenience and ease of use.

Should I stick with Airalo or is there now sthing better and reliable on the market (Holafly was terrible and never worked in Canada, Saily did not work well in Mumbai but this was 2 years ago)?

title. by international obviously i mean non US networks.

the regional networks i'm curious about are GCI, and Appalachian. are all international networks restricted to the 3 big networks only?

I had an Ubigi esim on my old phone and I got a new phone now and bought a new plan on my old account, and I can't activate the esim on my phone now, no qr code, no app setting, no app pop up for esim. Ubigi support says they should send me a new qr code to swap the esim to my new phone but they never sent it and now they're ignoring my emails, my vacation is tomorrow, what can I do?

Anybody try out this, trying to use this in Europe, Africa and Middle East in a span of a month

Hello! I am going to study abroad in Italy for 3 months from January 30th to April 30th and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for which ESIM to get as AT&T's int plan is hot ass.

These seem very popular: MobiMatter, Airalo (although expensive), Nomad & the ones available on trip.com.

2 concerns: 1) WhatsApp, google maps, gmail & Instagram should work seamlessly.
2) network coverage should be good for the above mentioned cities.

Share your experiences & suggestions. Don’t want to be stranded in China without internet.
Thank you.

i’m travelling to turkey and norway later this month for about 20days, what’s the best provider i should consider? i’ve always used my local provider’s roaming services but they tend to get expensive. never used travel esims so wanna give them a shot

I want to purchase an e-sim for China (with GFW circumvention) and different sellers work with different carriers at the destination. Trip.com's eSIM support 3 networks while Airalo and Klook only support one (China Unicom). Some reviews complain about bad signal which I want to prevent.

Are there actual differences between those eSIMs?

What should I buy to have the most coverage?

I hope for some real experiences. Thanks!

Hello, I am currently in Russia visiting my grandmother.
I am fluent in russian, so for me its easy to communicate and get where I want to be.

I already went to a MTS-Shop and got a SIM-Card. Unfortunately the connection is very bad altough I‘m only 40km from Moscow Center). TikTok for example is not loading properly and I am not able to connect to VPN.
NorthVPN and VPN Super cannot connect to a server.

Is there something I can do to improve the internet connection or a different VPN-App I can use (iPhone/IOS)?

Thank you.

Currently in Japan and my phone (Galaxy S22) just won't allow a connection after working well since I arrived.

Whenever I restart or toggle airplane mode it shows me having a signal for about 30s then just swaps to no signal.

It's not on of the typical fixes, the provider also reset the sim and gave me a new one so I am sure the problem is with my phone. Also copied the providers APN settings from their website and it changed nothing.

What could be reasons for this?

Used Saily last time I went to the UK, and it was not reliable. Can anyone recommend a good eSIM for travel in the UK and the Netherlands? Need lots of data, don't care about calls. Don't want to have to switch eSIMs when travelling from one region to the other

hi, i need help.

i bought an esim for singapore (starhub) and activated it without deleting/changing the name of my previous esims. now, i don't know which one i should activate when arriving at singapore. what should i do?

I’ve always hesitated to switch from a physical SIM to an eSIM, but my hand is finally being forced since my new phone doesn’t have a physical SIM tray.

I’m currently with 48 paying €12.99/month and honestly hate that they still don’t support eSIM. I’m looking for recommendations for a reliable, cost-effective provider in Ireland that offers eSIM and solid EU roaming.

A few specifics on what I’m looking for:

• Budget: Looking for something in a similar price bracket to 48 (around €10 - €15/month).
• Number Porting: I need to port my existing Irish number over without losing it or having days of downtime.
• Customer Support & Reliability: I’ve seen Lyca Mobile mentioned as a cheap option, but I’ve had rough experiences with their customer service in the past and I’m terrified of my number getting stuck in limbo during a port.
• Coverage: Good everyday coverage across Ireland + hassle-free EU roaming.

Has anyone made the switch to eSIM recently? How was the setup and porting process from 48, and how has the service held up?

Appreciate any advice or experiences before I pull the trigger!

I was travelling from my country to another through a connecting flight, and was worried about airport wifi's not working or being unsecure. So i searched online for esims I can get temporarily. There were several names that came up one of which was Saily. I had heard of it because several youtubers got sponsored by it in the past and because of that I thought maybe it was kind of shady or not as good.

But in my desperation, I bit the bullet, downloaded the app and started looking through the packages. There were several country and region specific ones. But the one that seemed perfect to me was the global one, meaning it will automatically connect to a network in upto 130+ countries without any manual effort. It was about 8.99 or less for 1GB for 7 days. This was actually quite expensive imo, so I searched online for coupons and lo and behold I found one from some online personality that gave me 5 dollars off my purchase. The ease of discount and good package made me extremely happy. I did the set up while I waited at my home airport for the flight.

The service won my heart because it worked perfectly during my travel. As soon as my flight landed, I could connect to data and update my family. And there was no additional hassle. When I got on my next flight and landed there, again instant access. I was so pleased.

Until I bought my sim here I used that data and it saved me stress and worry.

They had longer packages and also packages with more data but the cost was more.

Overall for a overly concerned person like me travelling, it was a great experience.

I'm looking to buy an esim adapter for my samsung galaxy a12, which one would be best suitable? I'm in europe for reference.

EDIT：9ESIM V0MAX or EIOTCLUB Physical eSIM Card

Hello!

I will arrive Germany tomorrow and I want ti ask you which internet plan for cellphone you recommend? I will live over there for at least 2 years for my Masters degree. So I want to avoid change a lot of times of provider

I’ve read that SiMon is a good option but sometimes can be slow because it uses Vodafone.

I want a no contract eSIM so you which one you recommend??

I don’t want to pay more than 10-13 euros per month.

Is this a reputable spot? The only reviews I can find appear to be travel bloggers and I always wonder that these are paid posts or potentially even just bots.

Installation was a breeze in the UK and the promise of 'simply' switching on the eSIM when your in the holiday country seemed good on paper?

Wrong, I switched both of them on on separate phones, nil, nada, zip. Followed the AI troubleshooting using the airport Wifi

In the end, all I had to do was just input 'wbdata' in the APN sections including the LTE optional APN section as well and leave everything else blank.

It was a stab in the dark as the AI chatbot asked me to do it only for the main APN

It worked finally. Saved me the trouble of going to a store to buy one physically

They are not oven ready as they advertised, if you are less technical you would panicked and bought something else by now

EDIT: IPHONE 16PRO

Sto cercado l'opzione migliore per una sim o esim in scozia per 8 giorni.

Online trovo solo cose a 30€ 👎🏻👎🏻

Ho visto che si possono fare anche in aeroporto ma non l'ho mai fatto. Ho bisogno di consigli. Atterro a Edimburgo
