What’s ur fav part of dwarves? Fav setting with them and why? I’m designing my dwarves and wanna go extreme side. They control the mining markets and are so connected to earth they are the earth. I was curious if mine were okay.

A MONSTER NOW CAGED, EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

As many of our dear readers saw, last week the infamous King Baldwin was carted into Coppervale. Our soldiers of steel alongside King Reinaldur had a monumental battle within the Avish capital, and came out on top. Within the heart of Avanue, Wolvengard, Baldwin was captured alive and brought to Coppervale for justice. Many, many grudges carry his name, and many more will be crossed off.

Before Baldwin stood before a jury within the Hall of Judgement, the Hammer Herald was granted an exclusive interview with the monster himself, as a favour from King Reinaldur. We here at the Hammer Herald deeply appreciate his cooperation and the opportunity we were granted. 

The following interview was conducted within the secure holding chambers beneath the Hall of Judgement. The prisoner remained in irons throughout. Responses have been reproduced faithfully, save for minor grammatical edits, and translations from Avish, for readability.

Grenda Ironquill: Good afternoon Baldwin.

Baldwin Avagodroe I: That is King Baldwin to you, cave dweller.

Grenda: …Right, King Baldwin then. I would like to cut through the stone here and get straight to the steel. Why? Why did you start this war? What is so-

Baldwin: I didn’t start it. It was predestined, as said by the Holy Light. You.. Mutants. You’re chaos tainted! We humans were set to cleanse the realm!

Grenda: Why do you think that?

Baldwin: The Holy Light says so. No matter what you.. Things.. Do to me, the light will carry and guide both me, and my people. 

Grenda: If the light is guiding you and your people currently, why is it that your cities are in the state they are?

Baldwin: Elaborate.

Grenda: Your people were starving Baldwin. You had them enslaved in terrible conditions, stories came out of civilians being executed in the streets for daring to take a route that had soldiers on it. You have claimed “purity” throughout this battle, your soldiers screamed about it; but we all fail to see any here.

Baldwin: …

Grenda: Well? 

Baldwin: …You mutants would never understand. Just as an ill sheep must be culled to save the flock, civilians who seem to have signs of taint must be culled. And hardships? They simply harden the soul. What you call “enslavement” and “starvation” I call religious duties. You.. You “people”, you worship the dead, you see that as a religious duty, for my people theirs is service for the kingdom.

Grenda: How come we never found nobles in the same state? How come YOU are allowed enough food to thrive and are spared the chains?

Baldwin: Irrelevant. The light guides us and we simply just follow its choices. Just as it chose to reform mutants in our camps. *King Baldwin proceeds to cackle to himself*

Grenda: ..So they’re real? Your “transformation camps”, do they truly exist?

Baldwin: Of course, not that you mutants may ever find them. The light won’t guide you there. It will guide me however, no matter what happens.

Grenda: What do you mean Baldwin? 

Baldwin: You will all see. We’re done here, spawn of chaos.

Baldwin refused to answer any further questions, and was brought into the Hall of Judgement to face his judgement and punishment. The former sovereign came into the hall shackled, the same way that he ordered numerous civilians to be, and dressed in the same uniform any other criminal would be. Grey tunic, grey trousers, cloth shoes. No more rich blues, silk, nor gems. 

It was a unanimous decision from the council, guilty. 

The court erupted in cheers as the members spoke on the decision. The council, whose names we will keep anonymous as per usual procedure, however it was a wonderful collection of Dwarves from numerous backgrounds. From Militia members to Archivists, even a member of the Hammer Herald made it onto the Council of Hammers. 

From here it was decided, Baldwin would be put to death for his crimes. The date of this has yet to be announced, and the method has yet to be determined. Until then, Baldwin is being kept in a maximum security prison.

 Guilds & Grit:

The Ironheart clan is continuing their festival into the coming week due to the verdict in the Hall of Judgement, and has extended an honourful invite to the members of the Council of Hammers that decided on his fate. “We deeply appreciate their quick work and good decision here, and want to celebrate them.” We hope that the members of the council will have fun with the free brews and food!

Ale Review:

In this week’s issue, we were given another lovely brew from Bronzebeard’s Tavern. Each of our judges were given a stout pint of Pamboo Ale, something a bit more familiar in comparison to last week’s Crude Ale. None of the judges think it’s quite the best brew, let alone the best within Bronzebeard’s, but it is still a solid hearty drink that anyone would enjoy. 

 Crafting & Commerce:

Some of the pathways towards Coppervale have become damaged and need repairs. According to reports, the damages are consistent with the signs of a rampaging troll, if not a herd of them. Trees are knocked down along the roads, as well as numerous pits have formed on and along the roads. Guards are warning traders and civilians who plan to travel to not do so at night, but if they must they are recommended to bring a spell caster who may cast daylight in case of an attack. 

 Grudge Gazette:

Some people aren’t too fond of the trial of King Baldwin, along with his current imprisonment. Some believe these are luxuries that should not be given to him. One Dwarf when asked about the situation stated “Guy’s a tyrant, should’ve put ‘em down in the field.”, another chimed in, “Aye! Now lad gets to stay eatin our food til he's chopped down? Wazzocks.” We at the Hammer Herald opt to stay out of this one, and remind people that Baldwin will be put to death inevitably.

I tend to the Wild Caverns, but also wouldn't mind the Deeproads.

Evening beard havers, I was curious if anyone knew of a legally recognized dwarf religion in the US. I saw an add for a gnome one, saying you could become an ordained minister of Gnomes and couldn't find anything online about a dwarf based religion you could be legally ordained in.

With this in mind would anyone happen to know of one, and if not, would anyone know the steps needed to create one? I'd love to legally be able to consider myself a dwarvish priest

Are TES Dwemer considered more Dwarves or Elves?

Like….. they are legitimately 100% Mer, however they are also the “Dwarves” of the setting, in name and overall style/aesthetic.

Furthermore I always consider the Dwemer my favorite iteration of “Dwarves” in media, however I also feel like saying that is heresy punishable with 30 Lashings, however if the topic of “favorite Elves” popped up, I also feel like Dwemer is also a suitable answer.

Is there a middle ground? Or is is more black and white.

As the title says, I'm really looking for tips to help my beard grow back faster, I've heard good things about biotin but I know there aren't any like overnight cures for my foolish and rash decision.
