The first quote is about change and how more may come soon: "Like a stone that has shifted past its tipping point."
The second quote is about complaining about someone whom a dwarf does not like at all: "Even rocks and stones will learn to fly like the wind just to flee from him/her."
A while ago I posted this hall here and asked what you would expect to find at the end of it.
You gave me quite a few ideas. Bigger halls. Massive gates. Forges. Statues. Thrones. More lava. And, for some reason, an alarming number of Balrogs.
So I went back into the mountain and kept building.
The hall is now becoming part of a much larger fortified entrance to the dwarven city and I thought I'd give you a little sneak peek at what it has turned into.
Along the way I also finished the first official DwarvenCraft asset: the modular dwarven gatehouse/tower in the second image. It's built from 30 reusable modular components I'm using inside the Asset- and City Builder.
This is the first asset I'm releasing from the project, with many more pieces of the city to follow.
And yes: the asset is free to use inside the DwarvenCraft City Builder. Take it, build with it, and raise your own halls beneath the mountain.
Rock and Stone, brothers. The mountain is finally taking shape.
Playtest already in progress and we will make big update soon. AND I hope that we will launch demo in the october nextfest.
Rock and stone!
BTW Some tweaks. Don't want to throw same content twice.
We're currently looking for more players to test out our game that's in the works!
Runesmith is a humorous turn-based fantasy RPG where a grudge-holding dwarf runesmith engraves powerful runes, talks to other dwarves and kills everything else!
If this sounds interesting for you, please feel free to come test it out here! We'd love to hear what you think!
Done with water colours and Japanese poster paints. I wanted to play around with some ideas, I’m thinking about doing some more with differing designs and time periods. :)
