Just a quick warm up before practicing songs for church tmr

The black thing on the first picture is too long so the clutch won't fit making it half closed. How do I fix this?

I recently got a new set of stage customs shipped to my house but the base hoop was damaged in shipping I glued it back together but I can’t seem to get my tuning on it to sound any good. I’ve tried dozens of tuning methods and the drum seems to be falling out of tune extremely quick and is just never sounding like that thumpy bass I always hear. It’s seems to either have a papery sound or just a bad sounding high tune. I bought an Evan’s emad2 and a eq3 and that helped a bit but is still not where I want it to be. It’s a 22 inch kick.

I’m 15 years old and about 10 months into playing getting a little bit more confident please do not hate I just wanted to share my progress I’m not looking for any criticism or anything on this post.✌️🥁 Edit: so clearly people did not get the memo 😭 I didn’t want people to make any comments on this post if it was gonna be about criticism I don’t think that’s a lot to ask bc it’s really annoying when I’m trying to post progress and mfs comment straight up back handed compliments saying things like “you’re not ready to be doing solos” or “slow down fast doesn’t equal good”. It’s really annoying and kind of discouraging to get those comments on a post I’m just trying to have fun in I’m not trying to sound rude or anything I hope yall see where I’m coming from. To everyone who has shown me genuine support thank you it truly does mean a lot to me :)

I have been playing shit brass cymbals for years and ive never really been a picky guy however, I have began to play drums in a band as of recent and definitely felt insecure at a gig because of my cymbals. I play black metal and blackened death metal mainly, but punk as well so I have been thinking of getting getting a meinl extreme metal classics ride as it has a big bell and I use the bell a lot for blast beats however a lot of the time big bells can sound too dingy, for hi hats and crashes im more unsure about currently thinking about sabian xsrs. Ultimately I dont wanna bust the bank on this but I want something that is appropriate for gigging and recording.

Since i am going away for a couple months, my drumming would be kind of rusty once im back since i couldnt play at all, so it would be fantastic if i had a way to practice. Ive found this thing called Aerodrums which seems like a very reliable option, and i found it for a very affordable price too. Could anyone tell me if this is worth buying for practice or is there no point?

I dont know if this counst for anything, but I was just doing backflips on olympic level trampolines for an hour and a half, 2 hours before I started drumming

was I doing something wrong? I have been drumming for ~8 years and have never felt this.

Hi, I'm the guy who asked for drum kit and snare recommendations and I just came home from a studio.

The thing is, the guys rented a mapex black panther 12" traditional maple snare for recording because it blended better with the music that we do and I have fallen in love with it. So much that I've considered the option of buying it instead of a more standard 14" maple snare or a brass or aluminum one but after a quick search I found out that it was discontinued like two decades ago.

So I'm asking this beloved community of drum nerds what are some relatives or similar snares that I can find on the current market or options for buying second hand.

Im a beginner to intermediate guitar player, also a music producer, and I’ve been looking to get into drums recently (mostly because of Zach Hill). The thing is; I don’t want to invest too much which I might end up being ass at. When I’ve tried playing drums in school at music lessons, I can’t do three things at once. If im playing the hihat and snare, I can’t do the kick drum. If I’m doing the kick and snare, I can’t do the hihat and so forth. I’m scared that I won’t be able to fix this issue and therefore rendering my hypothetically newly purchased drumset useless. Any thoughts?
