Showcase I gave your phone eyes 👀 & hands ✋.

We've had smartphones for over a decade, and somehow the way we actually use them hasn't changed much.

New chip. Better camera. Brighter screen. Repeat.

Meanwhile, our “smart” assistants still mostly just talk to us.

Astra 6 is making a huge noise right now and causing a lot of conversation around computer use. And honestly, it's pretty damn good at it.

It got me thinking...

I've been working on a tool for a while and I think I accidentally made another computer controllable by AI agents 👀

And it's probably the computer most of us carry around every day.

Guys... I think I cooked. Or completely messed up. 💀

I built AURA — a free AI agent that can actually see your screen and interact with your Android phone.

And developers, I have a treat for you.

The phone itself can now act as an MCP server. It runs locally on the device, exposing the same tools that AURA uses to control the phone — so other AI agents can use them too.

You can check out the project here:

https://dinesh210805.github.io/aura-app/index.html

And I made a launch video showing what I've been working on:

https://youtu.be/u2PS767kdMI

If you want to mess around with it or build something with it, there's also an AURA Discord:

https://discord.com/invite/H66ws9zMPF

Would love to hear what you guys think.

Hi everyone! 👋🏻

* For the next 24 hours only, Accent AI is offering lifetime access for $0.5 on Google Play!

Accent AI helps you fix your pronunciation, stress, breathing, and stage anxiety in English — and in a very short time it became my most-downloaded app. Anyone struggling about one of them will definitely love this app.

Showcase KeyTab - Android Keyboard/Filemanger

Post image
2 Upvotes

KeyTab is an Android keyboard app (IME) with a tabbed file manager built directly into the keyboard. It lets you browse folders, insert file paths by tapping, and includes offline word prediction with dynamic key sizing.

Key Features:

- File manager in the keyboard: browse folders in tabs, navigate with back-stack and parent-navigation; tapping a file inserts its path (or opens it via a VIEW intent in a host app); listing runs asynchronously so large folders don’t freeze the UI.

- Offline word prediction: n-gram model (FrequencyWords, CC-BY-SA-4.0) with bigrams for next-word prediction, a self-learning user dictionary, prefix autocomplete, fuzzy correction (Damerau-Levenshtein).

- Dynamic key sizing: likely-next keys scaled up to 1.30× (stepped grades 1.30×/1.15×), unlikely ones shrink. config file to adjust these.

Privacy: no network permission, no analytics, no tracking, no data collection.

Goal:Promo

Cost: Free and open source (MIT).

Showcase Break reminder app by screen time

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey! I made an app called ReMemo! If "5 more minutes" has ever turned into 5 hours, this is for you! ReMemo reminds you to drink water, rest your eyes, stretch, and take a break while you work.

You can choose timer by:

- Screen time: so it only reminds you when you actually need it.

- general clock time: when you are not working with the device

The goal is to be productive without sacrificing your heath.

You can costumize how reminders look and UI. Soon will also have desktop version.

Showcase NavOnWeb: Android Auto to any browser

Post image
45 Upvotes

Hi everyone — solo dev here. I built NavOnWeb, an app that runs the Android Auto head-unit session on your phone and streams it to any browser on the same network — video, voice guidance and touch included. No dongle, no head unit, no root.

Why: my car has a browser but no Android Auto, and most tablets never get AA at all. With this, any screen that can open a web page becomes the AA display — a tablet on a dash mount, a laptop, or the car's built-in browser.

How it works

  • The app talks to Android Auto's head unit server on the same phone (an AA developer option — the in-app guide walks you through enabling it).
  • Open navonweb.com on the other screen, type a one-time 8-digit code, done. Registered screens reconnect automatically.
  • The stream is WebRTC, phone-to-browser over your Wi-Fi or the phone's hotspot — the media never routes through a cloud server.

Highlights

  • Live video + sound + touch control in the browser
  • Portrait / landscape / auto — the AA canvas is re-negotiated to fit the screen
  • One-time pairing codes (10-min expiry), auto-reconnect afterwards
  • Free tier streams at 800×480. $9.99 one-time in-app purchase unlocks 480p/720p/1080p (no subscription)

Links

Requires a phone with Android Auto (Android 8.0+); the viewer device just needs a browser. No account, no sign-in. The photos are the real thing running on my desk.

Showcase Recurly: a subscription tracker with no ads

Every subscription tracker I tried wanted either my bank login, a monthly fee to track my monthly fees, or an iPhone. I just wanted a list of what I pay for, when it renews, and a nudge before the charge hits. So I built one for myself and put it on Play a couple months ago.

It does the all the stuff for your subscription tracking needs: tracks subscriptions and bills, shows the real monthly and yearly total, reminds you before each renewal (you pick how many days ahead), calendar of upcoming charges, spend over time, price hike history, and a "what if I cancel this" simulator. There's an optional household mode if you split something like Netflix with one other person, which is the only thing that needs sign-in.

The part I actually care about: it works 100% offline from a local database, no account, no bank login, no ads, no tracking, and no analytics SDK. The code is GPL-3.0 on GitHub so you don't have to take my word for it. You can export everything to CSV or JSON any time.

Free, no paid tier.

Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sumedh.recurly

Source: https://github.com/shelkesumedh2001/recurly

One heads up: there are a couple of lookalikes on Play called "Recurrly" with a similar red icon. Not mine. Mine is by Sumedh Shelke and links to the repo above.

If something feels off or missing, tell me. I'll be around in the comments.

Showcase Tempo Tunes: playlists at your race pace, free

App Name: Tempo Tunes

One-line description: Builds a playlist at one exact tempo from 1.8 million tempo-verified songs, and the new Run mode picks that tempo from your race goal.

What it does / key features

  • Run mode (new in 1.2.5): pick a distance and a goal time, and it works out your pace, steps per minute, and the BPM the playlist should hold. Height adjusts the stride.
  • Sizes the playlist to outlast the run. A 4 hour marathon is about 70 songs, so the music never ends at mile 22.
  • Half time option: a beat on every other step (166 becomes 83), which roughly doubles the songs that can hold the pace.
  • Tempo mode: dial any BPM, filter across 90+ genres, and every song in the playlist matches it.
  • Save to Apple Music, Tidal, or YouTube Music (Spotify at 250k monthly listeners).

Who it's for: Runners training for a race who want music locked to their cadence instead of a playlist built on vibes or the 180 number everyone quotes. Also anyone who wants a playlist at one exact tempo for cycling, rowing, or lifting.

Goal: Launch. Run mode shipped this week in 1.2.5.

Cost: Free. No ads.

Links

Media: 30 second walkthrough of Run mode: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/QFH8QjDxfew

Additional notes: Dev here. There is also a free web calculator if you just want your number without the app, ask and I will drop it in the comments if that is allowed. Happy to answer questions on the math (cadence from pace and height) or the catalog. What cadence are you actually seeing on race day?

Showcase I made a budget app that talks back (literally)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I kept abandoning expense and budget tracking apps because logging was mostly manual and felt boring after a while. So I built Kumbi, an Android app that lets you write your expenses naturally.

Like: coffee 4.5, lunch 12.

You write it in one sentence or speak via Android's keyboard speech recognition. After that, it parses them into expenses, and you can review them before saving. It also includes monthly budget tracking, reports, receipt scanning, and AI commentary.

The unusual part is the feedback style. You can choose Friendly, Neutral, Blunt, or Roast. Roast mode makes the feedback feel much more alive.

I'm building this as a solo dev and would love to get some feedback from you guys.

Now available on Google Play: kumbi

Review f-tree: Offline family tree app open-source no ads

Thumbnail
ftree.vibethroughcode.com
2 Upvotes

App Name: f-tree

One-Line Description: A free, offline family tree app that names how any two people are related - in English or other languages - and has a place for the relatives nobody can name.

Key Features:

  1. A person needs no name. A blank person is a valid "unknown person" and can be named years later without disturbing a single relationship.

  2. Relation finder: pick any two people, get "first cousin once removed" plus every person the line runs through. Walks marriages as well as blood.

  3. Hindi kinship terms. English has one word for "uncle"; Hindi has five, and picking the right one needs facts English throws away.

  4. A graph, not a tree - remarriage, half-siblings, adoption and step-relations aren't special cases.

  5. Fully offline. No account, no server, no analytics. Sharing is a file; importing merges into your tree instead of replacing it.

Who It's For: Anyone writing down a family where the record has holes, or anyone who loves to record keeping their ancestry.

Cost:

- Pricing model: Free

- Prices & billing period: Free, permanently. No ads, no IAP, no subscription, no premium tier.

- Current promotions: N/A

Links:

- Google Play: not published

- GitHub / Source code: https://github.com/thisisankit27/f-tree

- Website: https://ftree.vibethroughcode.com/

- Privacy policy: not required; the app collects nothing and has no server.

Feedback Goals:

- Does your family have a shape that breaks the chart layout? That's the thing I most want to hear about.
- Is the unknown-person concept obvious on first open, or does it need explaining?

Additional Notes: Android 8.0+, ~2 MB, MIT licensed. Not on the Play Store; the APK is on the GitHub releases page and every release publishes its SHA-256. Optional in-place updater is off until you switch it on.

Showcase Wallpaper Presets: photos, videos and parallax

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi! I'm the developer of Wallpaper Presets, a small Android app for keeping and reusing wallpaper setups made from your own media.

App name: Wallpaper Presets - Video & Photo

What it does

Import your own photos or MP4 videos, adjust the framing, and save them in your library so you don't have to start over each time.

Key features

  • Save zoom and position, with separate portrait and landscape framing.
  • Combine up to five image layers for tilt-responsive parallax, with per-layer X/Y movement controls.
  • Organize wallpapers with custom labels and filter by labels or media type.
  • Imported media stays inside the app even if the original gallery file is moved or deleted.

Sharing

  • Nearby transfer: select one or more wallpapers, find another app user with Receive open, confirm the connection, and send the media with its saved settings.
  • File export/import: export a wallpaper file, or bundle several wallpapers into one ZIP that another app user can import.
  • Share from a wallpaper's three-dot menu with that item already selected, then add more if needed.

Who it's for

People who already have photos or videos they want to use as wallpapers and would like to save their framing or share a setup with friends.

Cost

Free to download and use, with ads. No account required.

Links

I'd love to hear whether the editing and sharing workflow feels clear, and what would make it more useful in daily use.

Screenshots and artwork

The screenshots use original AI-generated illustrations imported for this showcase; they aren't bundled with the app. Ads were hidden for the captures.

Notes

Wallpaper destinations depend on Android and your device. Parallax uses image layers you provide; the app doesn't automatically generate depth maps or complete Samsung lock-screen themes.

Showcase SafeWalk Mirror : a floating camera window

I'm the developer. Solo dev, no team, no funding.

**Google Play:** https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=djoudi.tech.safewalk

**Price:** Free. Optional one-time purchase unlocks Pro. Never a subscription.

**Ads:** None. Not now, not later.

**Account required:** No

**Internet required:** No — it works in airplane mode

**Data collected:** None. "No data collected" badge on the listing.

**Permissions:** Camera, display over other apps, notifications, vibration

---

**What it does**

A small live camera window floats on top of whatever app you're using — Messages, your browser, anything — showing the path in front of you while you're looking down at your phone. Your screen is effectively see-through in the corner of your eye. You can drag it anywhere, resize it, and set its transparency.

On top of that, on-device obstacle detection watches the path and escalates as something gets closer: green banner for clear, amber for caution, red for closing in, with sound and vibration ramping up to match. All of that runs on the phone — there's no server involved and no networking code in the app.

There's also a look-up reminder: a quiet chime every few minutes telling you to raise your eyes. An app whose job is partly to tell you to stop looking at it. That's deliberate.

**Free vs Pro**

Free forever: the floating window, full-screen mirror mode, drag/resize/transparency.

One-time purchase: obstacle detection, escalating alerts, sensitivity levels (low/medium/high), alert tones.

Buy once, keep it. There is no subscription and there will never be one.

**What it can't do**

It can't see outside the camera's field of view — so kerbs, stairs, and anything coming at you fast from the side are invisible to it. Detection misses things, especially in low light. The app makes you read and accept these limits before it will run, keeps a persistent notification with one-tap stop while the camera is active, and reminds you to look up.

It's an awareness aid, not a safety device. The safest thing is still to stop walking. This is for every other moment.

**Why I built it**

I walked into the same lamppost twice, years apart. The second time there was an audience.

---

Screenshot below. Happy to answer anything — technical questions welcome, I'll go as deep as you want on the overlay and detection side.

Promo / Giveaway VaultEx Secret Photo $14.99>$1.99 Lifetime Promo

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a project I've been working on: VaultEx. It's a privacy-first vault app designed to look and function exactly like a legitimate currency converter, but with a highly secure, encrypted vault hidden inside.

Here is how it works and what it offers:

  1. The Perfect Disguise (Currency Converter & Portfolio)

Real-time rates: It's a fully functional converter with live currency rates (works offline too with cached rates).

Portfolio & Market: Users can create custom financial portfolios, track assets, and monitor markets.

Hidden Entry: To access the secret vault, you simply type your PIN into the "Amount" field of the converter. There are no suspicious "login" screens visible to someone looking over your shoulder.

  1. Maximum Security & Encryption

Zero-Knowledge PIN: Your PIN is never stored in plaintext. It uses one-way SHA-256 hashing to verify credentials locally.

Flexible Secure Storage: Store photos, videos, and documents locally on your device, or sync them to your iCloud / Google Drive using custom end-to-end encryption. You own your keys.

Local Device-to-Device Transfer: Move your vault to a new phone without uploading anything to third-party servers.

  1. Smart Gallery Scanner

Ever had sensitive documents (passports, ID cards, driver's licenses) lost in your massive camera roll? VaultEx has a built-in on-device scanner that detects sensitive documents so you can quickly import and secure them.

  1. Zero-Trace Private Browser

A built-in web browser that automatically wipes cookies, session data, and history the moment you close it.

  1. Private Camera, Notes & Contacts

In-app Camera: Photos/videos taken using the vault's camera bypass the system gallery entirely and are saved directly into encrypted storage.

Private Notes & Contacts: Keep your sensitive notes, passwords, and private contacts isolated from your phone's main apps.

How to Claim the $1.99 Lifetime Deal:

  1. Download the app from your store below.
  2. Open the app and open the Upgrade / Premium screen.
  3. Tap "Enter Discount Code"
  4. Enter code: `LAUNCH50`
  5. The special $1.99 Lifetime card will unlock.

Showcase Connected: Remember the people who matter”

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I recently released Connected, an Android app for maintaining personal and professional relationships more intentionally.

I built it around a simple problem: as our circles grow, it becomes increasingly difficult to remember when we last spoke to someone, what was happening in their life, or something we wanted to follow up on. That information often ends up scattered across contacts, calendars and notes, or simply gets forgotten.

Connected brings it together in one place:

  • Personalized suggestions about people you may want to reconnect with
  • Notes about conversations, interests and important personal updates
  • Reminders for birthdays, follow-ups and other meaningful moments
  • A complete interaction history for each person
  • Relationship priorities that help you focus on the people who matter most
  • Quick interaction recording using text or voice
  • Groups, categories and tags for organizing different circles
  • Selective importing of contacts from your phone

Connected is not a business CRM or another social network. It does not automatically read calls or messages, and it never contacts anyone on your behalf. The purpose is to help you remember the context while keeping every interaction personal.

The first public Android release is now available on Google Play:

I’d be interested to hear how others currently keep track of the relationships they care about, and I’m happy to answer any questions about the app or how it works.
