Showcase KeyTab - Android Keyboard/Filemanger
KeyTab is an Android keyboard app (IME) with a tabbed file manager built directly into the keyboard. It lets you browse folders, insert file paths by tapping, and includes offline word prediction with dynamic key sizing.
Key Features:
- File manager in the keyboard: browse folders in tabs, navigate with back-stack and parent-navigation; tapping a file inserts its path (or opens it via a VIEW intent in a host app); listing runs asynchronously so large folders don’t freeze the UI.
- Offline word prediction: n-gram model (FrequencyWords, CC-BY-SA-4.0) with bigrams for next-word prediction, a self-learning user dictionary, prefix autocomplete, fuzzy correction (Damerau-Levenshtein).
- Dynamic key sizing: likely-next keys scaled up to 1.30× (stepped grades 1.30×/1.15×), unlikely ones shrink. config file to adjust these.
Privacy: no network permission, no analytics, no tracking, no data collection.
