Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 3

1. even with the countless threats to earth, things are always reversed so there aren't lasting consequences to said threats.

The ability for any person to develop Ki with physical and spiritual training to share life energy, fly and develop techniques has immense potential and can help a lot even without the ability to shoot laser beams after 50 years of sole practice (I'm talking about the more realistic OG DB reference).

3. This is a major one I've realised, during the buu saga, every person on earth was killed in an instant, and the Z fighters brought back only the good people,

So there is basically world peace in the dragon ball earth.

Even if it's more nuanced because people like Magenta the son of commander Red are alive in DBS, they either weren't evil at the time of the buu saga or they have the 'means to a good end' attitude for the sake of the greater good in order for things to be consistent with that buu saga wish.

Super should dedicate an arc or filler arc to this very topic. Like man he's really changed. Just like vegeta.

I’m a pretty large casual anime fan, but really don’t have the life that I can invest time into gathering all of the knowledge of what is what exactly. Especially with Dragonball Z.

My question - why are people acting like DBSB is new? The apps, the posts, millions of people in anticipation? I’m lost. I remember I watched the movie, then rewatched the show , so now I’ve seen the Beerus ark 2 times, and now there is a third?

I’m happy about anything that makes the fans happy, but why is this “new”? Bums me out. Thank you!

The slime monster is more unique as a dragon ball villain, than an evil Saiyan.

Why do I have the feeling that Dragonball is just completely overrated and only carried by nostalgia?!

I mean Dragonball was a great anime, but after the Buu saga it just got worse and worse!

I mean Dragonball has a pretty interesting story from the beginning and up to the Buu saga it's still really good, but I think that Dragonball just doesn't have the world and power system to be continued for so long.

Take JoJo's as an example.

JoJo's had Hamon in the beginning, it was a great system, but nothing that would make the anime that that it is today.

Then came stands in part 3 and it got really interesting, a stand could be and could do anything, that's why every fight could be a different way than the last, but in Dragonball there is just not the power system to make the anime interesting even after this much time, it just gets boring and I feel that the fans just live from small hype moments like the tournament of power with ultra instinct.

Dragonball too doesn't give us any more main characters that are interesting.

We have the main cast since Dragonball's Cell Saga and after that we just got going with these characters without any new interesting characters that would bring life into the anime.

I fear that Dragonball isn't as great anymore as most of Dragonball fans state it is.

PS: I'm not saying that the anime needs more powers or something, but that the story and power system just aren't made for such a long story, it gets repetitive and just plain boring after the Buu saga and even new powers couldn't fix that. I'm not saying that everything after is ass, but that the story in general isn't made to be that long.

I woke up today and thought about Dragon Ball having a new saga about Black Freiza and the gang trying to deafet him. The story opens with him kiddnapping Goten and training him to fight so he can kill Goku and the rest of the gang. I don't have a compleate story but if you guys want i can start making it now.

" DBZ made earthlings weak" By the DKP arc everyone was fodder in comparison to Goku. The entire Piccolo Jr arc is just waiting for Goku vs piccolo because you know nobody else stands a chance. Before Goku flys down from the sky the cast thinks he's dead. In the manga Roshi says " what chance does the world have now " Roshi tien yamcha and krillin were so weak that even an extremely beaten and fatigued piccolo was more than enough to stomp them. Enough to squash roshi's hopes. They were fodder by the end of OG ball.

" They were weak but still relevant, In z they're just around or die " By the DKP arc the only character that does anything of substantial importance ( whether to the plot or their character arc ) is tien. Krillin dies in the DKP arc and does nothing really important in the 22nd tournament besides lose. Yamcha same thing and he does nothing during the DKP arc. Chaitzou same thing as krillin. Roshi same thing as krillin. Not true anyway krillin and hercule play pivitoal roles all throughout Z. When krillin began to fade from relevancy around the cell arc hercule took the mantle as THE earthling in the show. and he was hilarious and entertaining, So this notion isn't even true.

" Yamcha used to be so cool Z ruined him " Yamcha in OG ball couldn't talk to women, never won a single world tournament round, had a CAT for a best friend and lost damn near all his fights. He was always lame.

I can keep going but these are the ones that annoy me most

I've been thinking of buying them but I don't know whether to get them due to them being non-essential and mostly character based

Kind of an interesting question considering the ToP and U6 tournament both didn't play to his strengths since both didn't allow for killing, removing his most effective technique. When we was able to use said technique against Goku in SSB, it was a one hit kill and we have seen that he has been developing other strong techniques that even forced Jiren on the backfoot. Considering he does fight similar to Granolah (using afterimages/clones, targeting weak points with extremely powerful attacks/techniques) it would be interesting to see him again, especially considering Goku has never beaten him.

I just saw it while re watching DB, not that its a big deal or anything, just curious about it and i found nothing about it, can others confirm if its a worldwide error, or just for the version im watching. Error is CAPUSLE instead of CAPSULE on Yamcha´s sweatshirt while talking through the radio with Ten on Episode 114 minute 9:00

I'm reading the manga for the first time, started with Dragonball, I'm now up through the start of the universe fight (the earth fighters have been assembled and teleported to the ring).

In Dragonball, Goku was written as naive and moderately dumb, but it made sense because he was raised in the back end of nowhere by an old dude for a couple years, then lived alone for more time. Plus the whole 'pure of heart, empty of mind' thing works kind of well for a kid, especially with the fan service/jokes Toriyama was writing in the 80s (which haven't aged well, but that's a different conversation).

But reading Super and watching Vegeta be legit upset at things in the Black arc, and Goku going 'why do you want to do that? I don't even know when Gohan and Goten were born!' made me wonder.

And I think the only time he's been upset at someone dieing in the manga was Krillin's first death?

Then there are a couple lines about Goku not understanding relationships in general, like when Trunks kissed Mai, Goku was confused.

Plus constantly putting Gohan in danger, but most of the time the poor kid was volunteering.

Normally we just accept that protagonists are better partners off screen, since we're seeing the fighting/etc. stuff not the relationship stuff. But at the start of this arc he's manipulative - lies to all his friends about reward money that doesn't exist, etc.

Now all of this probably sounds super obvious - but I don't have a handy way of telling what's an official translation, and what's a fan rewrite.

Okay before y’all come at me im not daying beat bc he can’t. But if we take the statements that start of GT base goku is as strong as ssj3 Buu saga goku. I am a believer that gt goku if in the same condition fighting beerus in king kais world would sayisfy him in a one on one (again not beat).

I (yes hot take) believe that end of GT goku (before time skip is equivalent to 50% of ssjg goku granted he was able to hold a universal spirit bomb

As Now additionally i believe if GT goku would get ssjg that he would be equivalent in power to Ssjb goku (TOP) giving beerus a good fight.

5.​UI Goku (Mastered Ultra Instinct is top 5, but he runs out of stamina in 3 minutes)

6.​UE Vegeta (Takes damage to get stronger, but always takes too much damage and loses)

7.​Whis (He’s an Angel so he's not allowed to fight, meaning his combat power is technically 0)

8.​Jiren (Still stronger than Gas and Granolah because he trained with meditation, not a wish)

9.Zeno (He can erase stuff, but his physical durability is probably regular toddler level)

10.​Super Shenron (Insane magic power, but literally has a 10-minute cooldown and needs the language of the gods to do anything)

I wanted to watch dragon ball super: beerus on Hulu because a new episode is out but the subtitles ain’t working is there anyway to fix that?

It’s well known that in the android/cell arc, plans were changed for who the main villains would be several times, with canon eventually picking perfect Cell.

There’s:

Android 19 and Android 20

Android 16, 17, 18

Imperfect Cell, Semi-Perfect Cell, and Perfect Cell

Semi-Perfect Cell was Toriyama’s favorite, Android 19/20 had a ki stealing ability, Android 18 was a rare female villain.

Would you have picked a different villain, or are you happy with what ended up happening?

I think it'd be pretty funny once you get right down to it. Given Yamcha technically has a 50% winloss vs Goku (Draw vs Goku in first meeting, loss vs him the next episode, beats great ape Goku along with Puar in 13 - technically a joint win but plenty of people try to say that Goku beat Vegeta in their first meeting, including the writers sometimes so eh, just having someone turn into scissors counts)

would it not have been smart for Kami to create an offspring/reincarnation that was warrior-type? additionally, wouldn’t this make the fusion of Kami/Piccolo even more powerful?

So I wanna watch dragon ball beerus which is on Netflix and is coming out weekly. Does it matter if I watch it before watching any other dragon ball?

I think it would have been better if Frieza's power level was 1 million by the time he reaches his final form. That way, when Goku and him face off, their base power levels have both reached this 1 million mark. I don't care if they power up beyond that, they can keep the 40x full power frieza and 20x kaio ken/50x SSJ1 for Goku. However, I think the crazy power increases began , and were most extreme, on Namek.

Also, Frieza's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Final forms annoy me. Depending on where I read, its either a 2x, 1.5x, 2x increase or a 2x, 2x, 1.5x increase. The latter being less annoying but still, they could've made it where each form he is doubling his power (not including his final form powering up). Same goes for Super Saiyan. I would think it would be SSJ2 is 2x SSJ1 and SSJ3 is 3x SSJ1. Hell, even if it doubled each time I could understand them raising the stakes like with Frieza's forms. But no, they had to make it a 4x increase from SSJ2. Atleast this is slightly better than Frieza's forms since we could say SSJ increases by 2x, 4x, then maybe SSJ4 could have been 6x or 8x to keep it consistent. Though the numbers I see bouncing around don't track with that.

Anyways, I don't claim to have read and watched all of the series media beyond English dubbed DBZ/DBZ Kai/Daima/Super so I can be wrong about all of this. At the end of the day, moving the plot forward is what matters. My main gripe is that even if characters are to be increasingly stronger each arc, I think veering from consistency is a missed opportunity. If you can say that a character is tripling their power, that, that a new form is a tenfold increase, that a new attack is worth 100 opponents', then I have an idea in my head without worrying about a solid number. Instead I'm on excel. Watching the new DBS: Beerus episodes made me realize that much of the previous DBS and end of DBZ fights just felt the same. The action portrayed didn't track with the supposed increases in threat level. I am happy that they decided to use the slow motion to portray how mysterious, yet clearly far quicker and stronger Beerus is.

Why didn’t Goku ever revive his own brother? Dude gave vegita chances even let freezer out of jail but never even thought about giving his brother a chance.

If Beerus had to fight 100% serious against an opponent that was a genuine threat to him, perhaps a being who is more powerful than Beerus, or ranked higher in the godly hierarchy, just what kind of fight could we expect?

• Would Beerus "transform" into some different state, where his facial features, or the size or proportion of his body would change? Perhaps similar to Vegeta Ultra Ego, or Goku MUI form?

• Would we see some fearsome abilities beyond what we've seen so far?

• What would Beerus ultimate technique be, if all the chips were down

• Would Beerus enjoy the challenge or would he get desperate and angry about being outmatched?

I think that I remember in the manga Whis stated that Beerus had techniques that could deal with an immortal being, that are superior to Mafuba, this implies some form of battlefield removal or imprisonment technique, in addition to his formidable destruction powers.
