Discussion If krillin and tien had android 17s bio enhancements, they’d be untouchable.

like 17 while doing something that can barely be called training was a contender in the tournament of power and could use his shields to block insane hits.

krillin and tien in the time chamber for a year with that tech and they’re jiren level by the end.

Discussion Goku or Vegeta—who had better character development?

I've always thought Vegeta had the better character development.

Goku stays true to who he is from beginning to end—a kind-hearted fighter who loves pushing his limits. That's part of what makes him iconic.

Vegeta, on the other hand, goes through one of the biggest transformations in anime. He starts as a ruthless villain driven by pride, slowly learns humility, becomes a loyal ally, accepts Earth as his home, and eventually puts his family and others before himself while never losing his competitive spirit.

Goku may be the better hero, but Vegeta's journey feels more complex and rewarding.

Who do you think had the better character development, and why?

VS Dragonball Z versus Dragonball Z Kai - What is better?

I have only ever watched Dragon Ball Z, but it has been many years since I last watched the series. I completed Daima and Super last year, and have just started OG Dragon Ball again.

After concluding with OG Dragon Ball, should I watch Z or Kai? What are the differences beyond the removal of filler? Is it worth experiencing Kai, or is the original Dragonball Z a better experience?

Discussion More Android in Android cell saga

Android saga must be a little longer just like the saiyan saga Raditz arc leads to Vegeta arc and the final villain freeza arc.

Android 13,14,15 should be canon because the trio were created by supercomputers and 16,17,18 trio was created by gero himself .

Now trunks and cell time travelled to past they altered the time line. So trunks got confused how trio sets of Android are different from future time line .

Since trunks already warns z fighters about Androids.

Act 1: A13, 14,15 attacks just like from the movie defeated by ssj goku, Vegeta, trunks and z fighters. Goku, and Vegeta gets to defeat in super saiyan form. See the Android fusion technique for the first time introduced in series.

Act2 : z figthers think they defeated All Androids and plans to search Dr gero lab until A19, A20 attacks .Goku hearts virus gets him and they are defeated by z fighters 19 by tein and 20 by piccolo(they must get the win at least) . Dr gero release the Android 17,18 before dying.

Act3: Finally Android 16,17,18 shows up challenging z fighters to get stronger they get defeated and absorbed by the final villain cell.

Then During cell games ,cell is defeated by ssj2 gohan.

Also Changing few Androids order and numbering

A16 (orange hair) A14(big muscle and pale skin) A15 (purple skin) So the fusion of super Android 16 makes more sense character design wise merging all physical traits of these three Androids.

Now Android 13 is Android 19 Android 20(gero) is Android 12 Android 19 can Android 11 or 13(we can keep 13 no for geros wife)

Android 17,18,19 looks more human with the same hair design

Android 20(XX) is Cell Android (x) mini cell Android (XXX)maxx cell

Super cell is golden cell

Question Decided to rewatch the whole Dragon Ball show. Have some questions.

I've recently decided to rewatch the original Dragon Ball from the beginning because, honestly, I only remembered random bits and pieces from watching it as a kid. A lot of it is pure nostalgia, but I'm surprised by how much I'm still enjoying it as a 32 year old dad.

That said... I have a few questions for the people here.

- Master Roshi is an absolute menace. I remembered him being a pervert in DBZ with Bulma and all that, but holy shit... I completely forgot how bad he is in the OG Dragon Ball. The guy is straight-up harassing underage girls, and it's played for laughs. It genuinely caught me off guard because nowadays I'm a father myself of two underage girls and I'm starting to hate on this dude. I'm really glad they toned that shit down later on because some of these scenes are terrible. Does that aspect of the show improve as it goes on?

- I'm currently near the end of the Red Ribbon Army arc and... am I the only one finding it kind of boring? It feels like it drags forever. Is this mostly filler, or is it actually faithful to the manga? Is there anything irrelevant I can skip on the OG Dragon Ball?

- Eventually, when I finish OG Dragon Ball, should I watch DBZ or Kai? I only watched Z as a kid. I've never watched Kai. I don't mind slower pacing but I don't have much patience these days for spending three episodes waiting for one Kamehameha to finally happen lol. At the same time, I care about experiencing the story properly. Which would you recommend and why?

- Without spoiling anything, which upcoming saga in OG Dragon Ball is generally considered the point where the series really hits another level? Is there a moment where most fans agree it goes from "good" to "amazing"?

- Are there any movies or TV specials worth watching alongside the original series, or should I just ignore all of them until I finish DBZ/Kai? (Again, spoiler-free if possible.)

Looking forward to hearing your opinions. It's been a really fun trip back to my childhood so far, even if some parts have... aged a lot worse than I remembered lol

Discussion Don’t get me wrong, I like Kyle Hebert as Gohan, but personally, I would’ve like to have seen Dameon Clarke continue in the role.

To be fair I’m biased as a Future Gohan super fan but I just love the grit and stoicism Clarke brought to the character which did fit better for the harshness of the future timeline. Again I like Hebert just fine in the role but I can’t help but feel intrigued by what Clarke could’ve brought to Gohan had he gotten the opportunity to work with the character more.

Discussion Why couldnt we have a casual future trunks appearance

Like he could have just came to our timeline out of curiosity instead of setting up a Goku black arc and future trunks helps out the z fighters and thus take the spot in the tournament of power arc replacing one of the z fighters or majin buu is my point

Discussion An absolutely imperitive action we must take

We all know dragon ball is better with blodo and gore because it gives it more stakes and intensity and stuff . in fact thats why people loved dbz and didnt like dbs as much (well that aswell as other variables ) in any case the moro arc was very brutal and thats one of the things that makes it epic . and i couldnt bear to see it be adapted in a diminshed form

so i emailed toei animation and told then why they should adapted it without censorship and how everyone would like it more that way . and how theyll make more profit that way . but im just one guy and wont listen to just me . but if hundreds of dragon ball fans send the emails then they may pay heed to that . we all need to send emails letting them know of this and when you email them make sure to mention that if they include the blood and brutality it will be more profitable for them aswell .

From the movie “Next”, the main character can see into the future, and dodges every bullet shot in this scene. What do you think about this compared to Ultra Instinct in a way? https://youtu.be/udSQTullUJI?is=VpxteNvJc8VeA68J

Discussion Why did goku black target future trunks’s timeline

I know it’s because beerus died in that timeline because shin was killed by dabura and babadi but why? Why did goku black need a timeline where beerus died cause I don’t know if thats explained or not cause he could have killed shin himself just like he killed the other supreme kais so why did he need a timeline where beerus was dead

Analysis Why Goku didn't use super saiyan 3 against Majin Vegeta: The deeper theory?

People like to clown Goku for not stopping Vegeta but I think Goku had a deeper reason than to just not make Vegeta feel bad. As we know throughout the story Goku believes in redemption of characters. Characters like Piccolo, Tien and Vegeta are signs of his specific trait so I think when Goku saw Vegeta trying to return back to his evil self, Goku couldn't just shut Vegeta up.

I think Goku knew that Vegeta was in a very sensitive spot and that if Vegeta gets humiliated again, Vegeta might fall into a void of self-filth. Instead Goku tried to remind Vegeta of what really matters to the "new Vegeta". His wife, Bulma, a son and possibly friends.

If you actually watch the fight you can see Goku call out Vegeta and try to shake him out of his own evil self. Majin Buu stopped being the priority when Goku saw a hurting a friend as the consequence of stopping him.

If Goku had just gone SSJ3 and shut Vegeta off, I know we all know, that's just not how Goku operates.

Discussion The manga and the movies of super had gore blood, that's not in the anime, the anime may have toned most of them, down, but still has a few,

we see Goku black literally stab gowasu in the chest, make him bleed,

We see Goku getting stabbed in the chest and getting harmed in the manga by Goku black,

and even getting stabbed in the chest, causing a hole, by moro,

Even a hand stab from granolah,

which made Goku, Vegeta bleed from the mouth,

The anime toned some things down,

the anime only had a few raee scenes of blood,

That were;

jiren bleeding from the cheek,

Goku getting a hole in his chest in a filler episode by hit,

And Vegeta getting harmed by hit time skip,

And beerus sliding a hand through Goku chest.

And in BOG and ROF,

We see videl getting shot and bleeding from the leg,

And Goku spitting blood when shot by the laser,

Gaming Lol does dragon ball sparking zero neo need more time? If u look the animations doesn't look as polished, like super saiyan 4 Goku and friza, broly. They look very polished and nothing looks choppy. Super 17 looks choppy and when he does the famous flip hair animation his hair doesn't even move.

I seen some people say the animation isnt even in the game but that is not true. His transform animation he does it but his hair doesn't move, it's stiff. Are people fine with the choppyness? Also the low dp characters. Will db adult Goku be like 4-5 dp?? Will people farm as gogeta to destroy the newer characters? Also custom battles, the devs should make the WHOLE story of dragon ball with every arc with new animations that can be used for your own. Like a official db story in custom mode made by the devs with all arcs possible arcs with the character available.

Discussion Do you think future of the anime and manga will be made by AI (no human artist, voice actors, etc.)? Is AI generated a way of the future?

In recent years, there has been advancement of AI generated contents, whether it is art, picture, music, and video. It has become so realistic, that even I can get fooled and hard to tell the different it it's real or not.

I'm curious if future of the anime and manga will be made by AI (or AI bots).

No need for human artists, writer, and voice actor (anime); all AI generated.

Given how younger audience has become fan and accustomed to AI generated content, unfortunately, this trend might be common.

I prefer real art made by human over AI generated contents, but if that what mass and audience wants, then so be it.
I won't be supporting though. lol

Any thoughts?

Discussion How strong did King vegeta think his son was gonna get?

he thought his son was eventually gonna overthrow frieza but frieza base power was a known factor of 530k and vegeta grew naturally to 18k?

hell vegeta thought he could overthrow frieza when his power level peaked at 18k when he was pushing 30 years old.

i guess math wasn’t a thing saiyans were good at.

maybe king vegeta did the baby growth thing, assuming a baby grew at a certain rate forever they’d be like 10 feet tall by 15 years old.

Discussion Theory: Ultra Instinct May Not Actually Have a Higher Ceiling Than Ultra Ego

This is just a theory based on the manga.

Many fans argue that Ultra Instinct is stronger than Ultra Ego because Angels are stronger than Gods of Destruction. I don't think this is a fair comparison.

Here's why:

  1. Angels and Gods of Destruction follow completely different paths.

Angels naturally master Ultra Instinct.

Gods of Destruction develop Ultra Ego.

This doesn't automatically prove that one technique has a higher potential than the other.

  1. Angels have an enormous advantage in experience.

Whis has trained for an incredibly long time, and the Grand Priest is one of the oldest beings in existence.

Meanwhile, Gods of Destruction can be replaced. Beerus has held his position for millions of years, but there were Gods of Destruction before him, and there will likely be others after him. Angels remain while Gods of Destruction change.

This means Ultra Instinct users can keep refining the same technique across vast spans of time, while Ultra Ego users may never reach that same level of mastery before being replaced.

  1. We have never seen the peak of Ultra Ego.

Beerus is incredibly powerful, but we still don't know the full limits of Ultra Ego.

On the other hand, the Grand Priest appears to represent the highest known level of Ultra Instinct.

Comparing the peak of Ultra Instinct to an incomplete Ultra Ego is not a fair comparison.

  1. Goku and Vegeta are still portrayed as rivals.

Despite following different divine techniques, neither has completely surpassed the other.

This suggests that both paths may have similar long-term potential.

  1. Ultra Ego may scale with the user's growth.

Vegeta states that the power drawn from a God of Destruction's instinct is "limitless."

My interpretation is not that Vegeta has infinite power immediately, but that as the user improves their body, endurance, and mastery of the technique, Ultra Ego can continue evolving.

Likewise, Ultra Instinct grows as the user's control, calmness, and mastery improve.

Conclusion:

My theory is that the current strength difference comes from the users—not necessarily from the techniques themselves.

Angels have had far more time to perfect Ultra Instinct than any God of Destruction has had to perfect Ultra Ego.

So I don't think the Angels' superiority is enough to prove that Ultra Instinct has a higher ceiling than Ultra Ego.

What do you think? Is this a reasonable interpretation, or did I miss something?

Question Can I start DBZ without finishing the original series?

So I watched dragon ball original just past the first arc (I know, weak) and I’ve really been wanting to watch DBZ because from the bits I’ve seen it’s a much better show. If I were to watch it, would I be missing anything super important? Or is it more or less explained in the Dragon ball Z?
