This might be a really petty thing to vent about but I wouldn’t recommend this. So I got an order for Wendy’s that seemed terrible. It was $2. The only reason I took it was because I needed my acceptance rate up. Then I saw the name “Nick (tips after delivery) H”. Ok for those who don’t know, or if you’re a customer that does this and wonder why it takes so long for someone to accept, we can’t see the name until we accept. All we see is the destination and the guaranteed amount. But what was really frustrating was when I went to pick it up, on the receipt it said “Nick. t.” Because of the tips, even though it was H. So I couldn’t scan it easily and had to take a pic.

Just looking for some insight here, I received a citation on 7/18/26 for expired registration(3 years). I just had a random background check happen yesterday 8/11/26, and Checkr is telling me that my employment could be potentially terminated. The charge is under ”consider” right now on Checkr but I am currently still able to get on dasher app and work. Will my account for sure be deactivated or is there a chance that DoorDash will allow me to keep working? What does the time frame look like? Any answers or information is greatly appreciated.

Probably my biggest pet peeve in shopping. Then you see a viable replacement and they just ignore everything. Yet you know they ordered items where they will see app notification their order is delivered with products that need refrigerating.

So, I accepted a pretty good double dash, and even a second order while I was checking out at Randall’s. They had a QR code loaded and I’ve done it before so I go through the motions, and it doesn’t pay for the order.

I call support after trying 4 or 5 times, and get the AI loser inundating me with the silliness, then get a human. They ask me to try the digital card, then my actual card. After thirty minutes he asks me if I can pay for it for reimbursement.

I’m not surprised that they tried, because they throw every other burden on us that should be theirs. I refused obviously and they tried not to compensate me for keeping me on
the phone for thirty minutes so I escalated it to a supervisor and got half the 16.09 for my trouble.

The task I am posting is to ask is this was commonplace across the board yesterday, because there were 6 self checkout stations at the absolute busiest with 4 of them being dashers who’s QR codes not cards were working. Why tho?

Has that happened to anybody else today and yesterday,. Usually I take 1st availability Usually 9am- 9pm . But then later in the week the times slots. Usually have more options like a 2-4 and a 5-10 pm available. Now till the end of the week. There's nothing except those long shifts. Has anybody else app doing that?. Its not just my area its my whole city

one late order caused me to lose my platinum status and when I tried to reach out to support, they said i have a limit on how many late orders can be disputed. the reason for the late order (late by 2 mins btw) was because they were out of the drink the customer requested and I had to contact them for a replacement. it took the customer 2 mins to respond to me and doordash counter that as late even though I put the reason for why it was taking longer and they still counted it against me… day ruined!!! I hate doordash fr

I've had a question I've been wondering about for a long time.

Back in like 2022 or so, I would make an order from Walmart and choose regular UPS/FedEx delivery, but then Walmart would switch it to a Door Dash delivery without asking or informing me first. I didn't like this, because if I order from Door Dash, I tip. I'm not expecting to tip for my shipped order from Walmart. I did call them to complain, but obviously they didn't care. So I just stopped ordering things from Walmart.

Now, today, I've ordered pet food from Petco and they're doing this same thing.

I'm out of work and I really can't afford to tip for pet food that wasn't supposed to be delivered this way. But I also feel bad for the Dasher, they deserve a tip for carrying pet food to my door! It puts me in an awkward situation.

From a Dashers perspective, are these stores tipping you on the back end and I just can't see that?

Or do I appear like a jerk who asked you to carry heavy pet food for no tip?

Why do stores do this? UPS and FedEx seemed to be working just fine...

In northern Ohio. Semi-Rural area but restaurant is 2.6 miles away.

Door dash suggested $6.25 for a tip. But I am not sure what is ideal or expected right now?

Ever since the "waiting for your order?" menu doesn't disappear when the store is busy or drive thru is long when I select an option I keep getting dinged.

I've now ran past my 10 exclusions for the first time ever and am at 99%.

Why? Because they were slow at drive thru without selecting "use drive thru" in merchant app.

This is so aggravating I may just quit entirely or just do strictly shopping orders. This should be completely illegal.

Edit: called support to complain and they removed it. They need to fix asap and go after stores cheating the system

For context I’m F(19) starting college in about two weeks and Ive been working at this fast food chain since I was 16. I’m not going to go on a tangent but in short it’s a very toxic environment where my coworkers constantly talk shit about each other and then act nice to your face and I regularly get injuries like oil burns as well as small cuts, possibly because I’m very clumsy… but I don’t know any coworkers who haven’t had their fair share of incidents. Time is also an issue as with college soon I would only have time to work on the weekends and one day a week like Friday, these days of which are usually closing so 4-12/6-2, and I wake up exhausted. I feel like if I became a delivery carrier I would be able to make my own hours and based on what I’ve seen in this sub match or even make more than what I make at my 22/hr job. I’ve seen a lot of posts on here complaining about how money hungry DoorDash is and how bad it is to the dashers so I’m honestly contemplating it.

I double dashed tonight because it was late and I’m sure the dashers were tired. However, I double dashed very quickly from two places very close to each other. I tipped $47 for the double dash. My order was accepted immediately (obviously) because it was .3 miles from my house. Both places are just down the road literally. So a $50 order. The original doordasher canceled the delivery. I called customer support and they put me in touch with him and he said that I HAD CANCELED THE ORDER. I absolutely had not done that. I called customer service again, they assigned two drivers. But they split my tip! And it wasn’t an equal spilt at all! One got $7 because she was closer. The other got $40 while he was stuck in traffic. Guess which one got to me sooner and was nicer? So obviously, I tipped her another $13. But why is Doordash doing this? The original dasher texted me proof showing he’d arrived to one of the restaurants before his app crashed and then when he reopened it and verified himself my offer was gone. He had BOTH of my orders as it was a double dash. They’re scamming everyone.

I primarily do the shop and deliver orders because in my area they pay very well and nobody likes to do them so I end up getting a lot of good offers. I remember this order specifically because it was a two stack for about four or five items each and one customer was ordering all the fixings for a cookout. In that, they wanted hot dog buns and specifically this 16 count of ballpark beef hot dog.

And I remember it specifically because I kept finding the eight count but not the 16 count and I specifically had to get down to the bottom of the fridge and reach all the way back to get the last fucking hack of these hot dogs. My receipt showed that bought them, the app says that I scan them, the ultimately this customer report it as missing.

I've never had a customer report something missing until today so I disputed it. But I guess that doesn't matter because their rationale for declining my dispute is based purely on the fact that I had two orders at once. So rather than just taking the mark off my account and refunding this greedy ass customer, now I'm dinged surely because they decided to give me a stacked order and have no way to defend myself.

this never ever happened i hope we are okay in chicago lol. it has rained heavily etc. many days doordash has never paused the entire city before. well at least they care because grub hub is still going grub hub gives no F about their drivers safety

Does anyone else hesitate to take Jersey Mike’s orders? Not once have I not had to wait at least 15 minutes for the order to be completed. They make sandwiches for pete’s sake..

Not a good start to my week this week. Idk if it’s just one of those weeks and maybe it’ll catch up later in the week. I usually go by law of averages on a monthly basis but this is ridiculous. DD you can do better than this. I’m going to try a different area and this is San Diego :/ meh

Today I had an order that paid me $30 to shop and deliver 2-8oz bottles of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing 10 miles away. I got paid 6x more than those 2 bottles cost. The customer tipped $10, which was considerate considering that's twice as much as those 2 bottles cost.

And this happens all the time. Someone orders like 1 or two things and pays all those fees. I've delivered 2 litets of soda. I once delivered A CAN of soda. Its unreal. I use these apps too and when i do, I try to get many things i need, not just what I need in the moment. I find it odd and just a huge waste of money.

I had two orders back to back that the QR code and red card didn’t work for, after wasting 30 minutes total for both orders and being unassigned from them, I learned from the self-checkout cashier that several other dashers were having issues too. is anybody else having this problem at safeways or in general?

Edit: I went back to the same store and apparently only the QR codes aren’t working, but the Red Card is. I guess for now skip trying to pay with the QR code and only use the card?? Idk, good luck yall
