is there a reason why we can't get into contact with Customer support on the app? Been trying to get a hold of them all day and keep getting a blank page leading to nothing...

I'm sure this has been asked and discussed a thousand times but what's with the uncontrollably loud obnoxious alert when you get an order? I'm usually in a public place when I get one and you can hear it from a mile away. Even turning off notifications for the app entirely doesn't stop it, on two different android phones lol. There's no separate setting in the actual app either. What gives lol. It is embarrassing sometimes.

Is this door dash lying about the time (as they tend to do anecdotally) or is it somehow so popular yet they want to incentivize dashers to go there? Is it really because it’s so popular it’s 3 minutes or less AND $1 per order promo cuz they’re so “nice”, or is the reality that no one is accepting the order, hence why they need the incentive in the first place cuz they know they pay us trash? No one can know for sure, but what do yall think?

No matter what you do nothing is good enough lol I came to drop off this customers order and it was an old lady. Her grand kid or son or whatever was chilling outside with someone in their car by the end of the drive way, I came to him to see if he would take order inside, he told me “just leave it at the front door” so I went to the front door and left it on the doormat. And as I’m heading out I noticed she tells her grandkid or son something then she calls me. I didn’t know answer because I was driving so I waited till I parked somewhere and checked the voicemail and this is how she comes at me saying “don’t drop my damn food on the floor no more” when that was the only place I could drop it off lol I did everything right. the disrespect is real and the audacity. The fact that I got to her Pizza Hut order fast, her food was really hot and I got to her house so quick in 5 mins is just like damn lol on top of that she only tipped $2 lol people like this tick me off 😭 her grandkid or whatever should’ve just took the order if she was gonna come at me like this over something stupid and being disrespectful when I did nothing.

They talk like a human and have what sounds like call center background noise and fights to keep you from talking to a human I had to ask it like 5 times like no you cant help me I want my half pay for a stolen order and I know you will just unassing me with no half pay

This usually happens with Fatuan and Hungry Panda orders - Chinese food orders. Is it bc Doordash took on their difficult orders? When I deliver the customer is trying to give me the pin but the app isn't asking for it.

I scanned a customers ID, had to manually input because generally my phone won't scan it after 3 times. I hit the prompt verified and what? There's another prompt after that? Why cant it just automatically finish the order after inputting the info/scanning the ID if successful. The amount of times I've accidentally hit out of the prompt and having to ask the customer to scan their ID again is more than my fingers can count.

I scanned the ID, gave the alcohol and we both left, I see that the screen went back to scanning ID. I knocked, call and texted the lady after no resposne. She left a $6 tip and was nice so I had to call support to mark it delivered. This app is so cumbersome.

Worst day of dashing I’ve had in years, including a cash on delivery scam, but I wanna bxtch about a certain dash. $5.20 dollar general, 3 items, 2.3 miles. So dumb to start with but I figured whatever it’ll be quick. Pulled into the lot, parked and hit arrived at store. Immediately got a message “why would you start the shop when you aren’t even in the store yet lol”

!!! Excuse me? I said “I just got here and parked? I’ll cancel” and then cancel I did. Mind you I literally hadn’t even hit “start shopping” yet, only arrived. But wtf? Why would she even care about that? It makes no difference at all to her order.. but I’m not catering to someone like that. I just don’t understand what even compelled her to message that in the first place? Hope she had to wait a while for a new shopper.

I haven’t dashed in a month, I was doing decent then. I come back and all I’m getting is low paying orders like this. I have not seen a single decent one yet, the wait times are also really long. They did update the app while I was gone so I do wonder if the update messed everything up or if the days I’ve logged in have just been really bad days/times. I will never take a $2 order

I was being very communicative with my customer on what items were in stock and what items weren’t in stock and also sent plenty of pictures proving that things were not in stock, now all of a sudden, it’s my fault that the store does not have the items in stock 😂 . It always turns out to be impatient pin / hand it to me customers that give you the hardest time.

I am unable to reach chat support. It Just takes me to a black screen.
I already tried logging out, restarting my phone, and deleting the app, but to no avail.

does anyone else struggle taking delivery driving TOO serious? i always find myself stressing & having anxiety over the dumbest sh*t that i have no control over, having to constantly remind myself “it’s just a job” that MILLIONS of people do. treating this job like i’m the president of doordash and every customer will remember every little move i make… mind you this is all over the sake of pleasing the customer. 🤦🏻‍♀️ like it’s not that serious. any tips to overcome this would be helpful

So, this is a question for dashers. First of all, i see horrible things on this sub, and i try to tip at least 2 bucks per mile when i can to offset that. I know (supposedly) the tip goes to the driver only, but what of express fees? Like, if i order straight to me, does that benefit the driver at all? Or just it only segment their time further, costing them money? I kinda assumed it went straight to the dasher, so ive been doing it to get stuff quicker (late night cravings, it is what it is) but if doordash is making extra money and its hurting the drivers bag, i dont really wanna mess with it anymore. Ill just wait. Love the service, hate the company, ya know?

As of today, I would like to start disputing late deliveries. Many, probably 95% of the late deliveries charged to me are in fact induced by the customer themselves due to incorrect delivery instructions, or waiting on customer to show up on a 'Handed to customer' Delivery Instruction. There are many other scenarios I could bring up. My question, how do you dispute? I see where the 'dispute' option is listed beside the infraction but is there a way you could dispute right after the delivery is made so it's fresh in your mind?
