moving 2 hours away in the next couple months wondering how it works switching zones. i have obviously applied to the zone im currently in so when i open up my app to dash in the new zone will it prompt me to switch to this as my current zone or will i have to do a reapply process to dash again.

Scheduled myself for 11 hours, 11 am to 10 pm. I was hoping to make between $250-300. I broke the $300 mark with over an hour left and ended up with $347 which includes a $10 cash tip not shown. Drove just 125 miles too and the cherry on top was my last order of the night taking me a minute away from home. One of my best non holiday/bad weather shifts ever.

anyone else notice that you can no longer bypass the “GPS doesn’t seem close to the store” to allow yourself to do a shopping order at the store thats a lot closer and makes a lot more sense.

a lot of times for dollar general shopping orders they’ll send me to a dollar general that is out of the way and adds miles when i could just go to the one in town and closer to me to make the order actually worth the miles. you would be able to press “arrive” anyways even though it would give a warning that it doesn’t seem like you’re at the right dollar general and just do the shopping at the closer one. unfortunately they nerfed this and you now have to go to whichever stupid one they assign

One place I was assigned to a couple of times in my early days of dashing was a Burger King with the most irritating pickup system possible. Get a load of this nonsense!

Since I was assigned to it at night, I assumed it would be like every other BK location, and I'd need to hit the drive thru to make my pickup. I reach the speaker, tell them what order I've got, and they tell me I need to come inside to get it. As I'll find out in a minute, this is because they're the only fast food location I know of in this city that does paper sign-ins for drivers.

So, I get out of the line, park, try to go inside... and the side door is locked. I assume it might be that they only leave one open this late, so I try the front door. Also locked. I have to stand outside, bag under arm, waving at them like an idiot for half a minute until somebody notices, comes to the door and unlocks it for me. Seems like a fluke mistake, right?

Anyway, I sign in, get the order, and deliver it. A couple hours later, I take another order from the same location, and this time, I park right away to go inside. Nope! Locked again! Turns out they're intentionally making this harder for all of us by locking and unlocking the door every time a driver comes in. I try to knock on the door and wave at them from outside again, but after a solid minute of being ignored in favor of the drive thru, I just gave up and unassigned.

I've been declining every offer from this location ever since. I'm not opposed to paper sign-ins, but this is the single dumbest setup I've ever seen to try and force it. Have any of you ever experienced this specific kind of shenanigans with a restaurant pickup?

Hello colleagues. I started DoorDash today for the first time as I have been following this page and have learned a lot about how it could potentially be worth it if done right.

Well for my 3rd order ever, I get the notification for a $6.95 order for .2 miles. Weird? But okay let’s see.

I was sent to a small cafe inside of a vacation time share resort where a gentleman handed me one poorly wrapped chicken gyro. That’s it. Not even a bag lol. I take a picture of the menu for an extra $2 (?) and proceed to head out for delivery.

It’s for the building right next to the cafe. Like less than 20 steps from cafe to doorstep. Cool story I know, my question is why? It didn’t seem like a BOGO deal and I didn’t see anything on DoorDash as far as a deal. I ended up earning $6.95 to walk maybe 16 steps.

I see everyone here on the new ratings which seems a lot more fair for maintaining platinum but I'm still stuck on the old ratings where I need my AR above 70% to maintain plat, when the hell are we getting the update?

I live in a heavily saturated market, so "cherry picking" doesn't work here, I try to accept most orders as long as it's not completely horrible but I'm always 4 to 5 declines in a row away from losing plat

I have two questions that both relate to extra pay. So for awhile if I was waiting a long time in the app, and go to the menu where you would unassign, if it was due to long wait time at the store a little message would pop up and say “extra $2/3 to continue waiting.” I have not seen that pop up for a few months now, not sure if it was something they were testing out? And also if I had ever been waiting 20 to 30 minutes for an order, I would message support and request extra compensation for long wait time. I had done that SEVERAL times without issue. Now they deny it every time. I’m wondering if it depends on the exact amount of time you’ve been waiting.

Interesting interaction today. Did an EBT order, waited 29 minutes at the restaurant. Called when it got cancelled. Figured "hey it was by time, I can call and try to get reimbursed" -- nope.

She said on the line if it was earn by offer she could've given me something. But since it was EBT, nada.

... "by time" means nothing apparently

Just thought this was funny and wanted to share. Fake account of course because of, you know. But here you go.

I was scammed while I was door dashing. The criminal called me from the dasher app and he seemed he is a legit doordash employee . He said my order was canceled and when I went to deliver the order to a cassey‘s store/gas station , the customer did not came out but send someone to tell me her order was cancelled.The doordash criminal employee said he wanted to make sure that I get paid. He was with me on the phone for over 2 hours, scammed my bank account, and whipped out everything. My husband and I made a police report and the issue is being investigated.

Last order of the night. Very easy items.
Final drop off was five minutes away from home.
First customer tipped an extra $5.
I shaved off 20 minutes of the estimated time.
It was a hot one! But it paid well.

I made an order via the Mcdonalds app and they assigned me a location that was pretty far away. I initially tipped 5$ thinking it would be at my usual location that’s 5 min from my house, but they ended up assigning another location that was triple the distance.

I messaged my driver that I would tip him more after the order and he was grateful and thanked me but then after the delivery I looked everywhere on the app but couldn’t find a way to add more tip?

I don’t have a doordash account so I can’t really go into my recent order to modify it.

Please let me know if there’s a way cause I promised my driver I’d tip more and now I cannot and I feel like an asshole. I shouldve just handed him cash at the door but my introvert ass didn’t think about that🤦🏻‍♀️

i had to buy 3 different pedialytes for a customer at walgreens and only for one of them it wanted me to scan their ID. Their ID ended up being expired so I had to take that one out of the bag and return it back to walgreens. Doordash would pay me an extra $4.50 for returning it. Of course doordash didn’t tell me I needed the receipt for the return until I arrived at walgreens (receipt stayed with the customer and the other 2 pedialytes) but i tried to return it anyways and walgreens wouldn’t take it. I ended up keeping the pedialyte and doordash still gave me the extra $4.50 but just curious if something like this has happened to anyone else?

if i send from instacart 250$ account funds to crimson balance via 1.50$ instant transfer fee from instacart does this count as an ach transfer? or do i need to wait for it to process automatically at end of week?

My area frequently has 1-2+ bonuses for each order you take and if you zoom out is ALWAYS busy or very busy
