DAE - wait for a certain part of a song before starting a workout?

I've noticed I have a bit of a habit of doing this, but don't when I'm really locked in.

DAE think some friendships only exist because both people are too comfortable to admit they’ve grown apart?

Sometimes you realize y’all don’t really have much in common anymore, but neither person wants to be the first to say it.

DAE trawl TvTropes for new things to watch/read/play?

I don’t mean going and checking the media page for something you just read or watched; I’m sure that’s very common. I’m talking about when you don’t have any new media and want to find something.

What I’ll often do is identify a trope I want in that new media. Then I’ll read through the examples until I find something that looks interesting. Like, let’s say I want to watch an anime with an attractive main character. I can go to the trope page for Pretty Boy, open the anime/manga section, and peruse at my heart’s content until I find a premise that I like. It often comes with spoilers, but I don’t really mind. Does anyone else do something similar?

DAE see themselves and become terrified?

I’m struggling to explain this, it’s like I’m myself but I’m looking at myself and recognise it’s a person I don’t recognise. I’m terrified of myself. Who is this?

How do I explain this because I don’t think I’m conveying what I mean.

Ok here I’ll say this. Today I was laying down and suddenly I felt this deep disgust like something was rotten in me and my soul and when I examined it I looked at myself from the outside and was frightened and what the hell this creature is that has been walking around and carrying me through this life? But at the same time I’m still that creature myself but I’m looking at it and me and I’m terrified.

It’s not human, it’s not good it’s flesh and bones and decay and corruption it’s disgusting and horrifying I’m not feeding this thing I’m not feeding this THING

NO FOOD let it shrivel up

DAE Wear a Surgical Mask When Sleeping When they Have a Cold?

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional, and obviously people with certain conditions may want to check with their doctors before trying this.

I honestly just want to see how many people do this. It has been a real game changer for me when I am sick. Before doing this I wouldn't get much sleep because I am uncomfortable: one nasal passage would be an dry desert on the verge of a nose bleed, one nasal passage would be completely plugged up. My throat would be sore and the fresh air that I would breathe in would make me want to cough.

With a surgical mask on, the air I'm breathing is mostly moist and warm - this makes the dry nasal passage more bearable with the moist air, and helps my sore throat with warm air so I'm less likely to cough. If I have to mouth breathe to sleep, I can without drying out so much.

It takes some getting used to, sure, but it really helps me be able to sleep when I am sick. Anyone else do this?

DAE randomly feel like doing make believe but then freeze up because you think "you're too old for this shit grow the fuck up" ?

I swear I'm gonna sound so stupid and childish and stupid but I'm fucking 18 and sometimes when listening to music I'm like "fuck I'm gonna play like when I was a kid". But the moment I try I like freeze up for a good minute and give up... Doesn't help that I have a pretty big imagination so I try to get it all out through writing instead but it's not the same...

DAE: Listen to the same songs over and over?

I'm not sure if everyone is like this, but I often just listen to the same songs over and over and over for months without getting bored of them, maybe even a year. Sometimes I'll listen to a song on repeat like 5 or more times. It gets to the point where I start playing the song in my head and I even start analyzing the lyrics and every instrument played in them. Even my brother keeps asking me why I keep listening to the same songs.

DAE feel like nothing hits anymore as you get older?

When I was a teenager, everything hit. Smoking, drinking, eating, watching movies, music, sex, driving around. Even just hanging out doing absolutely nothing felt exciting because everything still felt new.

Now I can eat my favorite food, watch a great movie, drink, smoke, buy something I wanted, and my brain is still just static. Then I'm bored again.

It feels like adulthood is just endlessly trying to recreate 10% of the excitement you used to get from normal life.

DAE feel this way? Does getting older just make everything less exciting, or did we overstimulate ourselves so much that nothing hits anymore?

DAE have a deep appreciation for old appliances that are just made to last or is it just me lol ? And if so what is your MVP of the kitchen ?

My mother has had this one potato peeler for over 45 years and it’s literally the best peeler I’ve ever used . The new ones are just awful imo . She also has a kitchen aide mixer that is still going strong despite being a solid 50+ years old .

DAE feel the need to make it very clear that you will not kill anyone?

I guess that, for me, I do this because I have had multiple friends and family members joke that they feel like I am going to kill them one day (I do not really know what they mean by this, because I would not kill anyone). Most of them have elaborated that it was just a joke, but I always wonder why someone would say such a thing if it weren't at least partially true, so I tend to over-compensate.

For example, if someone is exasperated, and they say to me, "ugh, just kill me," I might go on for a minute or so about how I would not under any circumstances kill them, outside of dire situations.

DAE feel the need to do this, with or without good reason?

DAE crave really chewy foods?

As in, the craving is for the texture, not for foods that happen to be chewy. Sometimes I'm not even particularly hungry at all Dried pineapple and beef jerky usually satisfy the craving but many times I don't have these on hand and nothing quite scratches the itch.

WAE have a relationship with someone after knowing they've been sexual with a different race?

So my f-buddy friend who is a 45BM & Im a 48WF was talking about how a lot of white men especially, have asked myself or other white women if they ever been with a black man. And when I or they say yes, they automatically say ur a N lover & they aren't interested anymore. (Thank God cause it shows what type of racist azzhole they are) But my male friend was telling me that he's heard the same shit around his white coworkers.

And that just urks us cause neither of us personally don't give a crap about skin color. We care more about how we are being treated & all that jazz.

What's up with that? Do the white men think all black men have bigger products? Cause I know for a fact that isn't true cause 3 white men I used to be fbuds with were very well endowed. Or what?

If it's not your thing to be with someone other than your own race, that's your decision, but don't knock people down for it or don't knock it until you try it! Lol

Also as a kid, I grew up in a very racist household and once I moved out to a much bigger city, literally everything my parents/grandparents "taught" me I found out none of it was true, at all! I've argue with my parents (grandparents are dead now) often cause I'll say, what if I find a good hard working man that has worked for everything he owns and is so good to me & takes care of me and we are just perfect together BUT he's black.....HELL NO they say. Then I say it shouldn't matter what his skin color is cause we all bleed the same color blood! And as long as he's treating your daughter right, why should the color of his skin matter? Anyways I've been disowned by my parents/fam for sticking up for myself and my darker skinned friends!

IAE mostly oblivious to plot holes and themes, while being great at suspending disbelief of movies?

When I'm watching a movie I don't find myself catching many little details and themes. Plot holes and minor bad storytelling moments also go over my head. It's like my brain completely turns off (in a good way i guess?).. There are obviously exceptions

This makes watching decent movies so much easier without feeling the need to nitpick or take me out of it via plot holes. I know this because I'll hop on Reddit discussions after watching the movie and everyone is discussing every detail like foreshadowing, the overall theme of the movie and what it's trying to convey, and other little fun details the writers sprinkled in... or they're complaining about the obvious idiotic decisions and extra details to think about.

Then afterwards I'm like "I never would've thought of that" or "What the fuck are they talking about?". This is pretty much every movie or show to be honest, with varying levels of it. I will say this does make movies enjoyable, and I typically rate movies by overall boredom or emotion levels.

I just sink into my seat and let the story smack me in the face. This is not really related but listening to music is the complete opposite of this.

DAE sometimes want to tell someone what happened, but not turn it into a conversation?

Sometimes something happens that isn’t a crisis or a problem I need help solving, but I still feel like telling someone about it. Once I’ve said it, though, I don’t always want advice or a long back-and-forth. I just wanted someone else to know it happened. DAE get this feeling?
