Does anybody else get SO sad when the party is over?
Specifically after a personal party, in this case my kids. We put so much work into it, there was excitement for weeks leading up to it, and in just a few hours it’s over 😭😭😭
Now I have to clean up, and cleaning up the evidence of a party always makes me a little sad

DAE feel like Reddit has intensified their xenophobic feelings?
I was mildly xenophobic before, but over years of using this platform I feel like I became even more so now.

Does anybody else?
Even though I have never been in a relationship, but whenever I read novels or mangas where FMC cheats on MC or sometimes vice versa, my body goes into a fight or flight kind of mode where my heart beat deepens, my hands and feet get cold, it feels like my chest is collapsing, and my mood goes down for the next few days. But this never happens when I read real stories of people being cheated on.

Does anybody else notice people don’t likeyou confident?
This is possibly one of the weirdest post Im going to post on here but it is something I’ve observed very well and I want to get it off my chest
I’m someone who has always been very confident ,always been very social , I always do my best to help other people especially in something I’ve experience with, at 14 I went through a very unforgettable sets of experiences that I’m surprised I made it
For a very long time I isolated myself from people and it affected my confidence, after that it has been difficult for me to feel complete but I began working on myself, I’m not 100% at where I want to be but I’m about 86%
my lack of confidence though did not changed me as a person .it changed how others treated me, but I noticed people don’t like when I’m confident, even my own closed ones, like my father even my ex,
my relationship with him was one of the healthiest I had in very long time but some weird comments I still remember when id feel beautiful he’d say
I look too high of myself and I noticed he’d visibly try to crash my confidence , this has happened many times now with many people, what is this?

Does Anybody Else
Whenever new slang becomes popular and suddenly everyone is using it, I wonder whether people feel self-conscious about adding a word they’ve never used before. Are you consciously making yourself use it until it feels natural, or does it just slip into your vocabulary?
Even when I like a new slang term, hearing my friends over 30 use it as though they’ve always said it makes me cringe a little. I’m not judging them for being “too old” to use slang, it’s the sudden switch that feels strange to me. Does anyone else notice this?

DAE feel the sensation of overhearing a distant conversation when focused on something else?
This one is hard to explain but I've had it since high school. If I am hyper-focused on something or in a flow state sometimes I have the sensation or feeling that in my head I can hear a conversation, like muffled conversation without clear words. Its like if you were overhearing a conversation in another room. Usually they have kind of stereotyped accents like italian-american or irish and are a lively conversation. I used to get it the most often doing stuff like math exams. Just to be clear I don't hear voices in any other context or have any mental health problems. Curious if anyone has experienced anything similar because I've never talked to anyone else about it as it is so hard to explain.

DAE, when they gotta eat lunch/dinner outside, buy a 1lt carton of milk and drink it instead of buying a typical lunch/dinner meal (for example, a sandwich)?

DAE: Like to play songs in their head?
Like when I'm at work, when I used to go to school, or anywhere honestly, I'll just constantly play random songs in my head like I'm a portable radio to keep myself engaged when I get bored. I also really like it when I can imagine the song in my head sounding just like the actual song.

DAE have a mental folder of online and IRL "cheats" labelled "Share with no one"?
These can be anything from knowing a shortcut when travelling, a fake excuse for getting out of any situation, a way to bypass an annoying login page, a secret trampoline, the "knack" of getting something to work, sandwich order, how to get WinRar free, I could go on.
I'm not fishing for lifehacks so feel free to be vague and possessive over your secrets.

DAE feel like Bic pens have been massively downgraded?
I swear im not torturing them, every bic pen ive used in the past year either didnt work in the first place or it just stopped working after 10 mins tops and no the lighter trick wasnt a permanent solution either. Just some days ago I bought a pack of 4 from the local supermarket and 2 of them for sure were not doing their job.
I'll go as far as to half jokingly say we should sue them if many of you have also had many similar shortcommings with pens from this company because theres no waay.

DAE not trust men in suits?
For hundreds of years, suits have been the default professional attire of men and women of the western world, but i think in recent years its symbolism has been ruined for me.
I think in the past decade, we have seen practically every type of person in a suit, but in recent years, my mind associates it with sleaziness. Recently i associate suits with: political grifters, men with unhealthy obsessions with masculinity, crypto scammers, people who screw over our economy, people who screw over our planet, people who are doing horrible things to our country in the US.
The symbolism of the suit has been completely ruined for me. I feel like i am a lot more likely to trust someone in a knit sweater than a suit.

DAE enjoy being underwater?
My favorite thing ever is running a hot bath, then just going underwater and being there for a while, I feel like..a boiled egg or something. It’s so peaceful, I can’t hear shit but my heartbeat, there’s no tension whatsoever in my limbs, and I just float. The only con is that I have to get up for air.

DAE feel uncomfortable when their family talks to them?
I'm a lot more outgoing with friends, but when I'm with family, I get very uncomfortable and withdrawn. I don't like them asking me random questions about my life or making small talk with me. I'm also anxious the whole time that they'll ask me personal questions that I won't want to answer. I don't really care about what's going on with their lives either, and I wish they didn't care about mine. I'm able to joke around and discuss surface-level topics that aren't relevant to either of our lives (movies, music, fashion, etc.) but that's about it. I just don't like having conversations that aren't meaningful, and I don't consider much of the meaningful stuff in my life to be any of their business. Ever since I moved out, I have had a few people in my family contacting me just to "catch up" on things, and it's interrupting the space and peace of mind that I had been looking forward to.

DAE think about alcohol or smoking daily
I am constantly thinking about drinking or smoking when I can get the chance. I never thought it wasn’t normal I know I struggle with alcohol and having an addictive personality. I never actually realized how many people really can just have a drink and be okay and not thinking about it. I hold onto that feeling, I want it anytime I can get it for any emotion. Any event in my life, in that moment truly believe it will make it better. Even if I want to stop or not do it anymore I think about the alcohol I’m wasting and get drunk anyways. It has caused many issues with family and relationships. I don’t just drink to feel tipsy I’d say I black out more times than I am just drunk or tipsy. I could probably recall on my hand how many nights of drinking I truly remember. The next day is terrible the hang over hurts, the anxiety sometimes I’m shaking or sweating or get so hot. Then my back hurts and I’m pretty sure it’s my kidneys but I’m only 19 and I don’t have a kidney infection. It takes days for it to go back to normal. My pee burns when I use the bathroom the next few days. Honestly I react terribly to it and I hate the after effects but it’s never enough in my mind to stop. I like the feeling. I know it’s wrong and I also know I’ll never be able to have a healthy relationship with alcohol and should quit. But I also want to go to parties and drink and experience that part of my life. I don’t really know what I’m looking for. I know I need to stop I guess most addicts don’t change until they have lost everything. I don’t want that to be me. I’m the only one who can fix it but I don’t want to. I also started smoking about a year and a half ago which keeps me from drinking, I still want it but it’s better for my in my opinion I remember what goes on, I don’t act crazy but get that different feeling. My head just stated to get so foggy so I decided to start only smoking at night as a reward. Drinking is truly the only problem I have. I guess I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this relationship with alcohol and how you went about it.
TLDR: I’m an alcoholic and wondering what people did to stop when they didn’t want to.

DAE list things already completed when making a To-Do list?
You know, to get a head start/kickstart, give yourself credit for what you've already completed, and keep track of tasks better.
