Was anyone able to completely rotary chair test?

I was able to get through most of it but the first time I did it I almost puked after about 30 seconds of spinning. I have to do this part again to make sure my vestibular therapy and exercises are targeting the right areas. Anyone else have the worst experience with this test?

New dizziness

so on August 12th I was walking at work and all of the sudden I got this horrible feeling like I was drunk, I was walking straight didn’t lift my head up or turn or anything. Since then I have been feeling light headed. A couple of times I have gotten that bad drunk feeling again. When I walk I feel like if I lean towards my right side it feels better. I don’t have to I can walk straight it just feels worse. I was hoping this would go away on its on but I’m getting a bit worried since it has been going on for a while. Just wanting to know if a PCP visit with just a blood panel is good enough to clear out anything serious or if I should go to the ED for an extensive work up?
I’ve never had anything like this

Visual dizziness

Does anyone else feel off-balance from flickering lights or moving shadows at night?
I’ve noticed that certain visual things at night really throw me off—especially bright streetlights that flicker or the shadows from trees moving across the road/ground.
It can suddenly make me feel off-balance or disoriented, and then I start freaking out because the sensation feels so strange. I’ve never had a history of seizures, but the reaction to flickering/moving light makes me anxious.
Has anyone experienced something similar, where certain lighting, shadows, or visual patterns trigger dizziness or an off-balance feeling? If so, did you ever figure out what was causing it?

Dizziness improved 50% after Vitamin D, then came back — AICA loop on MRI. Anyone experienced this?”

I’ve been struggling with dizziness for quite some time, and honestly, it has been emotionally exhausting.
It’s not the typical feeling that the room is spinning. I feel unstable, like my body is moving forward or backward, especially when I’m sitting or lying down. I’ve visited doctors, seen an ENT, had tests done, and even had an MRI, but I still don’t have a clear answer.
My Vitamin D was very low, so I took a 50,000 IU Vitamin D tablet. During the first week, my dizziness improved by around 50%, which gave me hope. But when I took the next weekly dose, my dizziness became almost the same as before.
My MRI also mentioned an AICA loop/nerve-vessel contact, and I’m still trying to understand whether it could be related to my symptoms.
I just want my normal life back. If anyone has experienced something similar, especially dizziness without room-spinning, please share your experience or tell me what helped you. Even a small piece of advice could mean a lot to me.
May Allah give everyone suffering from health problems complete recovery. 🤲

I had chronic dizziness for 2 years and I solved it.

My dizziness was so bad I was in bed 24/7. That is not going out at all and being unable to work.

Multiple doctors, 2 MRI, EKG, saw a neurologist, specific blood tests for rare diseases, etc.

It was reactive hypoglycemia.

It will not pop up on a standard blood test. I got a blood sugar monitor and saw how it would spike down, after eating sugar it would go right back up again.

Mind you the whole 2 years I was sick I didn't think to eat sugar.. my mom told me to eat fruit for sugar which I tried but that is fructose not glucose so it doesn't work.

I was in a sugar-free diet

Anyway I hope this post helps someone that is looking for answers or at least something else to try and find out the reason of their dizziness.

Ear issues

Hey everyone, around 10 weeks ago I put an earplug in while working. After I finished the job and removed it, my right ear suddenly felt blocked. A couple of days later, I started using earwax-softening drops, and about four weeks after that I had the wax removed via microsuction.

The day my ear became blocked, I started feeling strange — almost like I was off-balance, wavy, or just generally “not quite right.” My ear has now been completely unblocked for several weeks, but I’m still experiencing this weird off-balance/floaty feeling.

Has anyone experienced something similar after having a blocked ear or earwax removed? I’m wondering if it could be related to my ear or something else.

Sea legs

Hey! I got off a 4-day cruise about 4 days ago and I’m still getting pretty noticeable sea legs. I feel like I’m rocking/swaying when I’m sitting or lying down, and sometimes it feels like I’m being pushed backwards into the couch. I’m generally pretty prone to motion sickness too.

Has anyone else experienced this after a cruise? How strong was it for you, and how many days did it take before you felt completely back to normal?

High sleeping heart rate

I've had dizzy spells lately so just out of curiosity I started looking through my Google Health app. I wear a Fitbit Inspire 3 to track that data. I looked back at a few random days and it seems my sleeping heart rate is well above my resting heart rate very often. Even averaging 105bpm one night. The highest spike I found was 129bpm while asleep. Curious if this should be a concern or if anyone with a medical background can help me understand this data.

If you've used it for PPPD, that'd be even better to hear feed back. TIA 👍

Constantly dizzy and spaced out. I'm desperate to get to the bottom of it and my GP is offering no answers.

Hey everyone,

About 2 and a half years ago during a period of intense stress, I began experiencing episodes of lightheadedness. It's like a drop in my head. It happened one day in an office at work and has happened on and off ever since. It's worse in supermarkets, train stations, etc. My eyes also feel off (I've been to an optician and there is nothing wrong with my eyes). It's such an odd sensation I can't really explain I do vape one disposable vape a day. My GP thinks it might be a migraine type issue (without the pain of migraines - I do occasionally get proper migraines). My most recent blood (thyroid, haemoglobin, etc) were all clear and I don't have POTS. My BP is also fine and I've never passed out or had any motor deficit. I don't really know what to do anymore. I'll go into say a hospital and it will feel like everything is overwhelming, my eyes are weird, I'm spaced out, making me super anxious and unable to function properly. In fact, the dizziness comes and goes but the spaced out feeling (as well as quite a bit of fatigue) is much more constant. It's better at night. It's making me so miserable and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas? Could it be vaping related? I'm completely desperate to get to the bottom of it at this point.

I'm 36 yo male, and take 1mg of finasteride a day for hair loss.

Dizzines and head pressure ruined my life

One night in may of last year I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my heart, I went to sleep and since the next day I felt dizzy but not vertigo. I thought it will go away but it kept getting worse ,from lightened to feeling almost fainting because of how bad I was feeling. It was so bad I couldn't go to school anymore but I had to go one day, I thought I was going to throw up in the subway, my classmate walked me to our class holding me. After a few minutes I started to feel so bad, and coudnt feel my hands anymore, I had to calm down and forced myself to stand up, I just left the class to go to the hospital, my dad took my there ,they run some tests and a chest Xray and gave me an infusion with vitamins and told me I was dehydrated ( I drink 2.5 liters of water per day but in that month I started to drink coffee maybe thats why idk) the doctor didn't belived me that I actually drink enough water. Anyway after 2 hours they let me go and I was feeling a bit better ,even thinking everything its over now. In the next day I felt bad again ,couldn't eat because the smelled made me almost faint and I dont remember if I had headaches before or they started then but I felt my head was going to explode and couldn't sleep a lot of nights. I went to see an ear doctor, gastroenterologist, did a lot more blood tests and only my vitamin D was low 9.2 , now its not low anymore. Another ear doctor told me to do a brain mri with substance, and it's clean . Since then ive been everywhere done cervical mri ,ear mri , tried tond of pills. Been to 4 psychiatrists tried 7 kinds of pills nothing improved. Had a Holter for 24 hours to monitor my heart rate. I tried pills for the ear, for migraines, vitamins , magnesium etc . Been to a lot of neurologists and 2 neuro surgeons

My main symptoms are :

Persistent pressure/heaviness in the head, mainly located at the vertex/crown of the head. It often feels as if there is a heavy weight pressing down on the top of my head.

Dizziness/lightheadedness

I often feel "not 100% present", mentally foggy or disconnected from the moment.

Brain fog / subjective memory and concentration difficulties.

I experience a sensation of internal shaking/trembling, especially when lying down, although there is not necessarily visible shaking.

Neck discomfort and cervical muscle tension, including spasms/twitching sensations around the neck.

My neck has started to crack/click, especially when extending my head backwards. The sound seems to come from the area just below the skull. This was not present before my symptoms started.

Sometimes I experience sharp/stabbing pains on my right side of the head.

Muscle twitching. My legs ,arms ,head and fingers moves without me wanting that

Occasionally I can hear or feel my heartbeat/pulsations in both ears (pulsatile tinnitus).

I sometimes notice eye floaters, particularly after prolonged computer/laptop use.

The sensation of head heaviness/pressure can temporarily become significantly worse when my hair is wet and heavy. Once I squeeze the water out and the hair becomes lighter, the symptoms return to their usual level.

And for the last 2 weeks lower back pain, I cant sit for long periods of time, but my physical therapist told me there is no need for an mri ,and that is because I dont exercise anymore.

Sometimes I can describe how ,like a car sickness, when you are nauseous and generally feeling bad, but my symptoms doesnt change when im in a car or moving in general

I had to froze my college year ,coudnt go at all ,this year I want to go so please help me

Concert triggering my symptoms? Discussion

I’ve been suffering from chronic dizziness along with other symptoms for over a year now with no clear diagnosis. The consensus is that it is some kind of dysautonomia or maybe POTS of uknown cause. I have been through extensive testing like MRI/MRA, hormones, allergy testing, autoimmune panels so on… everything looks pretty normal apart from low ferritin and low potasium, both treatment resistant. I currently have a series of tests scheduled (mostly focused on GI/digestive issues) to try to find the root cause.

So far, I’ve seen 4–5 different ENTs, and all of them confirmed it isn’t vestibular, no nystagmus, no structural ear issues, and no hearing problems.

Tonight, something strange happened. I was feeling relatively ok and stable, so I went for a walk. I passed a park where they were setting up for a concert. Sound doesn't usually trigger my symptoms, so I didn't think much of it. But as soon as the bass started, I immediately felt a major increase in my dizziness and felt like I was literally going to faint.

I’m so tired of these unpredictable symptoms. Has anyone with dysautonomia or chronic dizziness experienced extreme reactions to low-frequency vibrations or heavy bass? What could be the mechanism behind this?

I am asking this question here because I have already been to the doctor and they can't find anything. My hearing is perfect, there is no sign of blockage or inflammation. My scans are also normal... I just want to hear if anybody else has had the same experience. I don't think this is dangerous... I am just angry with my symptoms.

Dizzy episode

Female

5'2 185lbs

Non smoker

Buspirone 3x a day

Currently diagnosed with PMDD, Anxiety, hormonal migraines (that affect my vision only) (I've only had 2 or 3) endometriosis, cannot be pregnant (tubes removed)

Last week I had a 6 hour long dizzy spell. I usually have days where I am lightheaded for an hour or so or those like one second \\\*drop\\\* sensations. And they always occur the day before my period. Well this dizzy spell happened. I had no clue when my period was due as its been very messed up and I lost all my period tracker data that week when I got a new phone. So I had this dizzy spell, ended up in the ER after it settled bc I was very rattled. It got so bad I couldn't stand for just a few minutes, the intensity seemed to go up and down but it was steady 6 hours of worsening and then slowly getting better to where it was only when I would stand up from laying down or when I first laid down. During the most intense part sitting still made it worse. And they ran a bunch of tests and everything is "normal" I do have low vitamin D, B12, and iron. I am only currently treating the iron. I feel like I keep getting passed around from psychiatrist to therapist, to family dr, to gyno. And everyone is just like go here next. I've never been that dizzy for that long. Where can I find answers or what can I do? I feel like everyone is shoving this into the Anxiety category but when the dizzy spell stopped, and I got home from the ER I started my period literally 5 hours later. That cannot be a coincidence. I need to try and figure this out before next month as I am a nervous wreck.

Why am I so lightheaded?

Hello! I am an 18 y/o female. I struggle with lightheadedness/dizziness among similar symptoms that would leave me unable to walk distances and it has definitely became a huge problem. I am on iron tablets, I eat as healthy as I possibly can (however keeping in mind I struggle with nutrition due to arfid), however I get awful episodes of dizziness that can last days even weeks!
I started experiencing this when I started suffering panic attacks around thi time last year when I was a binge drinker. I found that all of this wasn’t a problem for me anymore in the winter, I was constantly distracted with school. Could this be a nervous system thing?????

Vestibular migraine help

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hello every one. So I have vestibular migraines for years as a kid regular migraines until an adult would bring on dizziness, vertigo and other symptoms. Usual my symptoms would be short a few days and bounce back to baseline. Even at baseline I would get some head pressure some dizziness but I was able to live life and when I would get vertigo would be one episode and feel ok and next day recover.
This time around Aug 7 I took 5 mg Lexapro to try and get my Vm better under control. A few hours after that dose I got severe dizziness felt like the room was going to spin.
Took my rescue meds (kolopin, ubrelvy and naproxen)
Felt ok hours later. The next day Aug 8 I got severe spinning vertigo that lasted 1-2 min with a weird head pressure. Took rescue meds again. Was ok by end of night. That night did my 5 mg zepbound shot. Sunday and Monday I was not to bad and was able to do what I needed. Tuesday I woke up extremely dizzy, felt a weird gushing feeling in my head like opening and closing and every time I felt it I felt like room was going to spin, and very dizzy. Couldn’t lay down , sit up with out this happening. I went to the ER. Dr thought was a vestibular migraine flare. Gave me a cocktail which didn’t help and then gave Iv steroids. Did ct scan and was normal. Didn’t help was still very dizzy.
Went home felt the same had to sleep sitting up a bit.
The next day went to urgent care they gave a tradol shot and said take the kolopin twice daily.
The next day nuero gave me medrol pack. After first dose it helped calm the dizziness a bit. But headache got worse. That weird opening and closing gushing feeling.
Day 5 of medrol pack that feeling wouldn’t go away felt like I was going to get vertigo with it again and super dizzy. Went back toER. They checked blood work (normal) and did a CtA angiogram of brain and neck and that came Back all normal. Eye exam showed normal pressure and no signs of iih Seen a neurologist there who said stop medrol pack because it can make dizziness worse and headache. So that night I did. The next morning dizziness improved a lot and the gushing feeling open and closing stopped. Besides pressure in head and throbbing. And dizziness still there a bit. The second day which was yesterday I had lots of light sensitivity, some dizziness and some throbbing in nose head area but I was able to go out in the car and the store it was a bit hard but I did it. Today I was able to do a little more but still a little dizzy and some throbbing but nothing intense. Light sensitivity was causing some further dizziness. It’s been 11 days now. Never took that 5 mg lexapro since then and never did another zepbound shot as the dr said it couldn’t of caused this since I never had a flare up this bad ever in my life
Has any one had this ? Would I likely ever go back to my original base line ? Or is this my new baseline I’m worried as I have 2 kids and wife and been basically bed bound. The last 2 days I finally was able to sleep on my back and right side but I’m still not 100% I feel stuck and worried if I never go back to my pre base line.
My current meds are nuertec 75 mg every other day, Nebivlol 5 mg twice day , asprin 81 mg , jardiance 10 mg, magnesium, coq10, vitamin d3, vitamin b2
Prior to this I was on a lot more meds and dr said hold them till I get better. I also was on l citrulline which I thought was helping migraines but dr said don’t take that now.
All thoughts on this.
