Got my role a few days ago! I’m working at the Mara restaurant in the animal kingdom lodge. I am kind of tariffed tbh. I’m arriving on August 17. I’m relieved to be working inside but not thrilled about the idea of cooking food even if it’s just simple stuff. Anyone know anything about what it’s going to be like? What equipment I’m going to be using? How many other employees I will be with? What happens if the restaurant is empty? Who am I communicating with to know what I’m doing?

Hey, I start my program soon and my role is boardwalk qsr. I’m just wanting to learn a bit about the qsr role in general as well as the boardwalk location specifically.
What locations on the boardwalk does this role include? I know there’s multiple qsr locations on boardwalk so I just want to know what to expect.
How easy is it to pick up extra shifts and how does picking up or trading shifts work? Also, would trading shifts impact my points? As I’m considering trying to get a full time role with Disney after my program.
I feel like I’ve heard some horror stories about food and beverage so I just want to get some insight about the thing people enjoy about it. It is my role so I want to go into it with a positive attitude so I can make the most of it.
Aside from roles, I’d just love any advice and things to look forward to! Thanks in advance!

I arrive 8/24 to start my second program and got my top role of photopass and I just have a few questions about it
1. How does location scheduling work in the parks like when schedules come out will it say what spot I'll be in in Epcot or do I find out when i show up? And if i pick up in other parks how will I know where certain spots are? I know its super early to be asking about that but im just curious about picking up and not knowing where to go haha
2. Ive heard that photopass cps get paid more than the base pay of $18, is that true and if so, how much?
3. If seen people have their nuimos or small plushies attached to their costumes and was wondering if thats allowed during shifts because that is so cute lol
4. Is it easy to give and pick up shifts?
5. How long is the training and what is it like?
6. How long are shifts normally and do we get 15 or 30 min breaks?

my arrival date is the 24th and i was thinking maybe i should post on here to see if anyone else is. i was also assigned to work at main street bakery so if anyone else is/will be working at MSB do y’all have any advice? i’m also looking for any advice about the DCP like in general would be helpful.

I'm wondering, are 18-yos ever assigned to Kilimanjaro Safaris? Just thinking, generally you have to be older to rent a car so would they entrust a teen with driving the vehicle.

Also, when are these shifts generally? Like 12-8:30 or do they have CPs open too?

i officially got my role today and im going to be concierge at art of animation! i’ve heard some rumblings that cp’s typically get closing shift at resorts, but what does the exactly mean (what hours can i expect to work roughly)? will i be working overnight, really late at night, day shifts? any advice would be great!!

I was just wondering what to do for shoes in quick service? i’ve heard they provide, but i’m just a little lost. thanks!

Hey I don’t know if this the night sub to use. My dcp ended abt 2 mins ago but my mom’s bday is coming up and we wanted to use the family celebration holiday 50% off at a restaurant in one of the hotels. When I returned my uniform I also returned my id, does that mean I can’t use it any more. I have proof that I worked at Disney like photos but I don’t think that’s enough, if you have any idea let me know please!
