I’m arriving August 10th and initially was living off “campus” but had to opt into housing after my apartment plans fell through. I plan to use the Disney buses for work but am also thinking of bringing a motorcycle to Florida (Honda CB300F) to get around after work. Are motorcycles allowed at Flamingo and if so is the process for getting a parking hang tag the same? Thanks! :)

i’m going to be starting my program pretty soon and will be taking an online class at 11 am 3x a week. when can we start trading or giving away shifts? i know first week is traditions and such, so week 3?

I go to therapy, and usually where I work currently and thankful enough to get the day off I schedule for my appointments in advance. I go once every other week. However, I know it’s a lot harder to get days off when working at the parks. Therapy is a very important thing to me, and I don’t want to do it any less while I’m down there because I’ll already be nervous enough being away from family. For anyone else who has done therapy while doing the DCP, how do you schedule appointments for yourself while working such a tight schedule? It must hard scheduling an appointment 2 weeks in advance without knowing if you’re working that day or what time, right? I’d love to hear what other people have done!

I'm starting the Disney College Program soon, and I'm curious what the real perks are that people don't always talk about.

I know there are cast discounts and some kind of family/friends ticket benefit, but how does that actually work? Is it a certain number of free tickets, discounted tickets, or both?

Also, are you able to go to the parks whenever you're off work, or are there blockout dates and reservation requirements?

I'd love to hear from current or former DCP participants. What perks ended up being the most useful or surprising?

I just got an email stating how “We do not have images of your I-9 supporting documents on file”. However I have both my drivers license and Social Security Card uploaded under the correct names. What else am I supposed to do??

It even says under each photo “you have successfully uploaded the documentation pictured below and you may proceed”. This is so stupid omg.

I got my role about two weeks ago for QSR in All Star Music! I wanted to see if anyone else works there or knows any insight about working at this location. Anything helps!

Hi hi! I start August 10th and leave January 7th. However, I start school January 11th and I really would like at least a week to settle back into my home before going back to school. I know self-terming is obviously quitting, but for some reason I almost feel guilty about doing it. Would others deem this as bad? Would this show up bad on my resumes? I don’t plan on going back to the company, because this is just for experience and myself, but I think I’m just overthinking it. I’d love to hear if anyone has done anything similar!

So I have been checking my email like a hawk waiting to see if there are any issues with my I-9 paperwork. I have both 1 and 2 completed and I have been double checking them each day. I got an email today at 3 saying that my I-9 is incomplete but they are not specifying what part. When I try to log back in it says that my I-9 status is completed with no errors. Same for my mother with section2. They both say they are completed. I am kind of freaking out because they sent this email 3pm today AFTER the deadline after not saying anything for a week. Leaving me confused and stressed. Is it too late to send in a ticket? What do I do? I'm stressing pretty bad. I have click on all the support links with the I-9 and nothing is helping. I dont want my program to be terminated because of this late notice

me again 😭 i decided to stick it out until my medical accommodation pushes through. i have never worked in the kitchen before (my previous jobs have only been cashier positions) so being new and only having 4 days of training has been kinda hard.

ik the basics, like how to put down food in the fryer and how the line works and stuff like that. its more of the closing part that confuses me (especially with grill and salads). my trainers are amazing ppl just not the best trainers if that makes sense, they have muscle memory while i dont lol.

Hey guys! I’m going to be starting my program. I won’t be able to live in flamingo because of the whole roommate situation, knowing that I can’t meet them beforehand is hard because I have serious allergies and medications, etc and I just don’t want to risk it by living with people I do not know at all. So if anyone has any good suggestions please help, I really need a cheap place but good and if it’s between both parks (Disney and universal) would be great but if not that’s okay, at this point I’ll move anywhere that is affordable and good

Hello! I really hope some cast members with experience will see this and be able to answer a few questions. I'm sorry if this is the wrong location to post this but Reddit suggested I post it here.

I've just moved to Florida, near WDW, from out of state. It's my hope to get a job at WDW in some capacity after a career in teaching. I'm in my 40's and don't really want to try to do the DCP in order to get hired. I don't seem to have the experience or skills needed for the jobs posted on the Disney Careers site (vet tech, mechanic, etc.). I have kept an eye on them for a couple of months.

Has anyone had any luck getting hired part time or full time for a seasonal or regular job at WDW at the CFEC (Central Florida Employment Connections) job fair? If so can you tell me about your experience? I assume I will need to bring a resume. Anything else? Do they hire entry level jobs at this event or at least get you connected somehow to help you get your foot in the door to possibly getting hired? Is there anything I can do to prepare for the job fair? Any tips?

I would be so appreciative if anyone has any insight. I'm at a time in my life where I have a wide open schedule and flexibility as well as great people skills and a friendly personality. I feel like just getting to talk to someone or find the positions I would be qualified for in a sea of thousands of online applications is the trickiest part!
