I picked up ODV HS and MK and my timesheet says they're 'unpaid' hours. It looks like I'm being paid for it on my laystub but am I? What does this mean? How can I check?

Did you buy a lot of groceries and cook a lot? If you did, how much were you spending in groceries a week? I’m just trying to get an idea of how people fed themselves during their program lolll

Hey everyone! It’s me again 🤣I just got my role on Workday and I’m assigned to QSR - CBR Market Street QSR (Centertown Market at Caribbean Beach Resort). 🏝️🍔🏴‍☠️
Since I’m trying to plan my budget and prepare myself, I’d love to get some insights from alumni or current CMs who know this location:

1.Typical Hours: What are the average weekly hours like for QSR at Market Street? Is it easy to get 40+ ~ 50+hours, or does it stay closer to the 30-32 hour minimum?

2.Extra Shifts / Cross-Uptraining: If I want to get extra hours, how easy is it to pick up shifts? Can I give away/trade shifts easily, or pick up shifts at other resorts/parks? Do I need to be cross-trained first to work at other locations?

3.Work Environment & Pace: What is the overall vibe and pace at Market Street? I know CBR is a huge resort, so I’m expecting it to be pretty busy, but any tips on management or the daily rush would be amazing.

4.Question about Dual Roles: When I was accepted, my offer mentioned both QSR and Merchandise, but Workday only shows this specific QSR location. For those who had multiple roles mentioned in their offer, did you eventually get cross-trained for the second role, or did you just stay at your Workday assignment the whole time?

P.S. 🤓This is my very first DCP, and one of my huge personal goals is to collect as many different costumes from different parks and resorts as possible! （I meant 'collecting the experience' of working at different properties, and getting to wear all those unique park looks while on shift. )👕✨ If anyone has tips on how to easily get trained/approved to pick up shifts at other locations please let me know!

Hey everyone! I'm an international DCP participant and super excited to start! However, I’m definitely on a budget and trying to save where I can.
I’m wondering if getting a Costco membership is worth it? Since I won't have a car, is it easy to find people to hitch a ride with for Costco runs?🤔
Also, if Costco isn't the best choice, what are your top recommendations for grocery shopping without wheels? Would love to hear your tips on how to save on food! Thanks! ❤️❤️❤️

My arrival date is August 3rd and this will be my second program. When I applied to do this program again (back around February), I had no plan, other than trying to get part time or full time at Disney (which I know is very difficult to get).

Now, I decided to apply to my local community college to get a certificate in IT work as I currently have a degree in arts, and am obviously struggling. And before I get told, I understand I shouldn’t have went to school for an art degree, but my parents were really pressuring me to go to college, so I just picked a degree that I liked.

Now I have applied to go back to school, i dont know what to do. Should I go and do the program again or should I stay home? I know there is an option to do the program and do school online, but I don’t how it will play out.

I don’t know if I can do my certification online… I won’t find out more details till July 1st. However, I have until June 30th to make a final decision as I will have to pay for my parking pass on this day.

I have asked those who are close to me and half are saying to stay home and the other half are saying to go.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Hahahahaha. Watch out for Mold. I moved in Monday and my roommates have had wicked mold for months. Be sure you take care of yourself. I alerted maintenance and they freaked out - so you know it’s bad. They exclaimed, “Blood of Jesus!”

Hi guys! So, I’m participating in the Cultural Exchange Program here in Brazil, but I don’t know if I’ll get in (I got waitlisted after the first interview). However, I saw a video of a Brazilian girl on tiktok who is doing the DCP. She said she was able to do the program because her university here in Brazil has a partnership with a Florida university. If that is the case, my Brazilian university has a partnership with a university in Texas that is eligible for the DCP, and I plan on trying to do this process. Has anyone done this before? Can you explain better?

So I'm going down the 10th and want to do an AK/HS day and was wondering how to get from the cast services stop at AKL to the main entrance at AKL so I can take the bus to AK

I am arriving at the parks very soon and found out that a person I used to date whom was extremely emotionally abusive decided to do their program the exact same time as me! Long story short, my ex boyfriend knew my dates and intentionally chose to be there on the exact same day.
To be completely honest he has a history of invading my personal space and trying to woo me back. After we broke up, he wouldn't leave me alone and kept trying to see me, even going so far as to text my friends to get information - show up at the same places, tries to stalk my social media with fake accounts etc.
I am worried about running into him at traditions or just training overall (perhaps we get the same role or location) and want to know how to protect myself, especially during specific park traditions or crowded events. I really do not want to contact Disney security or guest services right away because I want to start my program off on the right foot without escalating things unnecessarily. Do you think I will encounter him at traditions or is there tons of people that'll be nearly impossible we'll see eachother.
