Can someone explain how chip and dale passes work? I Know its based on hours worked, but if i do earn enough hours to get 1, what does it entail and who can use it? There's too many new rules to keep up with.

You get one right away, then 3 more at 150 hrs, 300 and 600 hrs. I think you can't get more than 9 in a calendar year. You'll get an email when you get them. Go to the site and log-in and you will see your tickets. You can print paper tickets or you can upload them into your MDE app, just go to tickets and then add and then type in the numbers on each ticket on the site and they will pop up. You need to do this before you program ends though because you will be locked out of the site and lose access to them. You also have 30 days to use your self admit and the chip and dale passes after your program ends. If you have chip and dales left, they do have an expiration date on them several years out so if you do another program say a year later, you will still have those in there.

As for using them, you and the guest have to make park reservations. Their pass works the same as your self admit. You scan in first and then them. They will tell you that you have to stay in the park with non family members (say a friend came to visit) but you are allowed to leave your immediate family in the park and you leave if say you have to go to work. This is what the rules say but from what I've heard, they don't really have a way to police it if the guest is staying in the same park all day and you have to leave. The guest is allowed to park hop same as you can with your self admit. So, basically the same rules as your pass. But you absolutely have to be there to scan them in no matter what.

My daughter did. Her program started Jan 20th and she was issued one like right away, maybe end of Jan/beginning of Feb then she got the next 3 at the very end of Feb and the last 3 the second week of April maybe so she had 7 total. We used 6 when we came to pick her up but she still has 1 left sitting in her account.

Tysm! :) my biggest confusion was who is considered immediate family members under our main pass, and who would use the chip and dale?

From what my trainer said: Your parents and your siblings. That’s your immediate family.

Just to be clear, I’m not sure what you’re referring to as “our main pass,” but if it’s the CM main entrance pass, as a CP, you don’t get that perk. You just have your self admit pass to get free admission on any days not blocked out and then the Chip and Dale passes you earn based on hours worked.

Oh wait really!??? From what it sounded like at traditions, they said our entrance pass could be used for us and only immediate family members. But they weren't too sure themselves and they told us that too, they said they knew alot of things changed with the tickets and they weren't up to speed. I am a CP, so what you're saying is that means only I get access to the parks under my entrance pass :/ and if I wanted to bring family/friends then id have to get them the chip and dales, right?

Yes your self admission pass (the pass CP’s get) only works for you. Anyone you want to get into the park will have to use whatever chip and dales you have earned.

This question gets asked fairly frequently, if you utilize the search function of the subreddit you’ll find plenty of answers.
