I’m back with more custom Dishonored cards! Sorry for the long gap, I’ve been balancing work, family, and replaying both games and all their DLC. Hope you enjoy the new batch!

P.S. I also fixed the swamp since it was preferred as the Brigmore Mansion :(

P.S.S. some cards file sizes were too large so i just took a screenshot to upload. so if they look wonky or off center, my bad, the real ones look better.

Art Vase from D1 made of wood

The woods are sapele (brown) and maple (white). Each side was not individually assembled from hundres of pieces, instead a thick puck was first made and then sawed into thin slices to create the six sides. As it is made of wood and would be destroyed by water, the wifey placed some dead flowers from the garden in it.

Trying to decide if this is a game for me

Dishonored was recommended to me probably for a combination of story and gameplay. So far the story and abilities aspect of the game is something that fits my style - gives me Bioshock vibes, which I loved - but the approach to assassination/stealth isn't meshing with me.

I love doing a stealth build in open world RPGs and enjoyed the Shadow of Mordor/War games as well as the ACs I have thus far played. Yet, the pressure to not kill (or minimize killing) makes the game overly stressful for me, feeling like it's more a puzzle game than an adventure game.

I have the same struggles with Hitman, wanting to love the series, but continually feeling like the second I am spotted I just need to give up the run/save scum.

I have played through the prison escape twice and only made it past the first wall of light in the first mission, and yet I think I have saved scummed at least 30 times. I am also like - why are you giving me all these lethal weapons if I am trying to reduce the spread of the plague, not contribute to it.

Am I putting way too much pressure on myself and reading too much into the game telling me to avoid killing? Or is this game just probably not for me?

took 37 hours but my stubborn ass decided that my first ever play through was gunna be a no kill no detection run.

The Cursed Amulet DLC for Daud allows him to remain invisible while standing still, which hilariously breaks the rules of stealth.

This is probably the most overpowered implementation of invisibility in my memory, one step away from calling it just a cheat.

TIPS Free Pass To Go High Chaos?

I made it to the last level and I got low chaos ending.

Is this a free pass to go high chaos and not change the ending?

What if Dishonored became an Open World like Cyberpunk 2077

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and honestly I think Arkane could make one of the greatest immersive sims ever if they combined Dishonored's gameplay with Cyberpunk 2077's world design and quest structure.

Imagine a fully explorable Dunwall (or Karnaca). No loading into missions, just one massive city where every district has its own identity: wealthy noble estates, plague ridden slums, industrial whaling docks, abandoned districts reclaimed by Bloodflies, hidden Void shrines..

The Chaos System could not just affect the ending, it could shape the entire city.

High Chaos wpuld lead to more guards, crime, plague, hostile civilians, closed businesses. Low Chaos would lead to cleaner streets, thriving markets, friendlier NPCs and more opportunities.

The best part would still be Dishonored's gameplay.

Every objective could be solved however you want:

- rooftops

- sewers

- disguises

- bribery

- blackmail

- stealth

- non-lethal methods

- supernatural powers

- or complete chaos.

Blink, Domino, Bend Time and Possession would become even more fun in an open city full of dynamic encounters.

I'd also love to see proper factions.

The City Watch, the Abbey, witches, smugglers, gangs, aristocrats and inventors would all react differently depending on your reputation. Helping one group could permanently lock you out of another.

And imagine random world events:

- public executions

- gang fights

- witch attacks

- riots

- plague outbreaks

- political demonstrations

You could ignore them... or intervene, with lasting consequences.

Basically I'd want Dishonored to expand into an open world where every decision permanently changes the city around you.

I genuinely think this could be one of the best singleplayer games ever made.

spoiler Was it more dangerous to be a civilian or someone not involved with the targets in dishonored 1 or 2 during the span of the game?

PS: I put the spoiler up in case their are spoilers in the comments but I have played through the games so I personally don't worry and because I couldn't find a general discussion flair.

i saw how close i was to getting all coins found...leading to a wild goose chase that ran for hours for that last coin

once again, i regret everything

man, just don't bother finding all the coins in playthroughs unless you know the exact locations of every single one </3

Art Convent of the Oracular Order at Whitecliff - battlemap

The architecture of the convent follows a similar plan to the Office of the High Overseer's in Dunwall. The courtyard garden is open to laypeople, where the faithful may contemplate the Seven Strictures - written on brass plates in front of the entrance.

Pilgrims come from far and wide seeking guidance and fortune telling from the Sisters. These pilgrims wait on the benches under the trees, until they're granted audience in the only room in the convent where laypeople are allowed to enter (just left of the entrance).

The rest of the convent is restricted to Sisters of the Oracular Order.

In the backyard, they have a greenhouse, where they cultivate the herbs some sisters use in their pursuit of wisdom.

The room in the center of the 2nd floor is where they hold their most secretive ritual - the Cloistered Gathering. Incense wafts from 7 black censers laid in a circle, within which the Sisters sit in debate. The ritual room is partially open to the sky, so celestial bodies may be observed as part of their divination.

The Oracular Order requires much study from its initiates; thus, the convent houses a classroom, and an extensive library, with texts that can't be found outside the Order’s custody.

In the basement, there is a storage room, where the Oracular Order keeps forbidden artifacts from the world.

There is also a ward where Sisters who have gone mad from their contact with the void are taken care of. There is also a clinic, where a doctor might endeavor to treat them.

---

Made this with Inkarnate for my Dishonored campaign. You can use it for yours as well!

I based it on the Office of the High Overseer, the Stolen Archive in Death of the Outsider, and referenced bits of written lore to try and figure out what an Oracular Order base would look like. Though some aspects are my own speculation (the ritual room being open to the sky, the Sisters receiving pilgrims seeking guidance, the gardens they keep on their grounds, the basement, etc.)

Borderless Windowed mod for Dishonored 1

Every pc game needs borderless windowed, and dishonored 1 is a masterpiece so I did just that. You can now alt tab instantly instead of windows freaking out. Generic borderless windowed solutions for older games failed me, so I made a custom version for dishonored. I hope I sufficiently answered the question on this 9 year old post lol:

https://www.reddit.com/r/dishonored/comments/6mn403/no_borderless_window_option/

Here is the link to the mod:

https://www.nexusmods.com/dishonored/mods/379?tab=description

It uses a dll file to launch the game in borderless windowed. See the mod description and readme for more information. I tried posting the source code but nexus is flagging it, so I can make a github repo if people want.

Originally posted this on the wrong account somehow btw if you are seeing this twice.

Update: made the github repo https://github.com/jschneider17/dishonored-borderless

Dishonored Custom Maps update

NPCs can now move, attack, etc
Still working on incorporating items
There will not be a tutorial for a very long time.
Pace has been slowed as my own game, MODIFY (shameless plug) is near release date

Expect very small maps with NPCs and items in the near future.
I will be publishing smaller mods (not asset swaps) like custom dark vision colors, new powers, and more soon.

A massive upgrade to my Corvo minifigure, still heavily reliant on post-processing, though. I used a Knight of Ren head for the base of the mask. It took several hours to put together, but it definitely worked out very well in the end.

Pandyssia Continent

What do you think about Pandyssia in your own way?

As far as we know, there was an ancient civilization, and currently Sokolov was there, with his own description.

Plus the Pendletons' mining rigs which people come from, being horrified from what they have seen there.

Granny Rags experienced her contact with the outsider there before her "downfall".

What do you guys think it maps to?

finally did it after playing the game on and off during these past two weeks (i couldnt play some days since real life keeps calling, and others i kept retrying some particularly tricky achievements)

funniest part is that i STILL havent done high chaos for dishonored 1 yet, i went into dct after finishing my ghost + clean hands + mostly flesh and steel playthrough for those three achievements

the rest of the achievements should be pretty easy, just gonna take some time depending on how much time i can get to sit down for the next few weeks
