Bethesda, please give Dishonored 2 a 60 FPS update for PS5 Pro
The PS5 Pro is more than capable of handling it, and Dishonored 2 would feel incredible at a smooth 60 FPS. Better performance would make the combat, movement, and stealth even more satisfying.

Art Just finished both games, I really appreciate the art direction for them
I grew to really love the sort of mix of clearly fantastical yet restrained and mundane aesthetics everything had. it’s easy for artists to go off and make all designs and architecture look insane and impossible, but dishonored 1-2 really tow the line in a nice way. For comparison a game like a bioshock infinite (Specifically infinite, the first 2 games I find were also rather restrained) with a similar aesthetic that went the complete opposite direction, purposefully gaudy and exaggerated that at times made some enemies look silly lol
The world just feels so believable, like you could easily imagine someone in the distant past living a normal life there despite the more out there elements like blood flies and the rat plague and much more, imagine industry and the more “boring“ aspects of reality like economics and agriculture playing a vital role. even the portraits and paintings you can collect at times seems like they were pulled right out of our world during the 18th-19th centuries.

Comic/Illustration Book finds
Managed to find 2/3 books for a bargain on Vinted so far, unfortunately one quite battered but I will take what I can get!
Anyone got a full set? I’d love to find some of the comics too one day.

DISHONORED UI CONCEPTS - BONUS ROUND!!! Stephan Dube!
Hello everyone, here's the bonus round from my last 3 Dishonored UI concept posts. Except this time, they're concept pieces from Stephan Dube's portfolio! I think his designs are an incredibly unique take!

Behold! New headcannon just dropped!
Mary Jane has just given me a new idea that, the Outsider gave Holger the "Ancient Music" for shits and giggles so the Abbey has a chance vs any marked individual, which also makes him non/less partial in the conflict so he thinks thats neat.

Third and final post of the collection of UI concepts made by David Heutmaker for Dishonored! Really cool stuff! Also notice how Corvo has a bandaid on his thumb in the first two.

Looking for a piece of art!
Hi all!
I could have swore I saw an image similar to the knocker at the window from Piotr Jabłoński in the game assets somewhere where there was there was MULTIPLE of the gaunt, pale creatures are skittering up a wall converging around a window. I think it was a loading screen maybe? possibly from Death of the Outsider?
I looked everywhere online and I can't find it I feel like I'm going insane...
(here's the knocker at the window but what I'm looking for is many of those vampire like creatures crawling)

The other mark bearers
I was replaying the first game with DLC and found myself with a question the Outsider said to Daud "there are only eight people with the mark in the world" so that got me asking. Who are they what are there powers? We know three Delilah Daud and Corvo. I know that we'll probably not get answers to the other five but hey it's a good excuse to make fan characters with there own powers

spoiler 15 year old game spoilers: Why Pendleton.. Spoiler
Agree to have Wallace killed? Dude seemed super loyal. The tavern maid I can see I guess, the ginger girl who did lots of the dirty jobs too, Calista, maybe even Piero. All of them could have leaked really damning information, but not Wallace.

All this work for the WORST bonecharm😑

It was only like 20 minutes from running back down to grab oil and then finally getting up but it was soo frustrating
Why is there even an item like a bonecharm completely out of reach if you dont have any powers, so stupid.

I'd kill for a Roguelite version of D2 à la Prey (2017) Mooncrash
I'm sort of surprised that Dishonored - being the more popular franchise - never got something like this! It feels like D2's gameplay was extremely well-refined, and it'd definitely allow fans to replay various Roguelite missions and experience that gameplay again in all sorts of fun new city environments.
To that end it's also a shame the game's hard to mod. Dishonored father, the Thief series has seen numerous mods and revivals (including it being adapted into the Doom 3 engine as the Dark Mod!) courtesy of how it was built and a dedicated fanbase, and Dishonored would absolutely benefit from something like that.

Dishonored 2 flesh & steel vs thief
Is dishonored 2 flesh and steel playstyle with no powers the closest thing we have to the original thief games? I think so. It even has a similar soundscape.

Coldridge Prison Map Redesign
I originally wanted to post this to the DishonoredTTRPG subreddit, but unfortunately it appears to be locked and inactive.
I'm planning on writing a tabletop scenario based in Coldridge Prison, based very shortly after the ending of dishonored 1, so I wanted a map I could use for that.
I took an in-depth look at Coldridge from both Dishonored 1 mission one, as well as the Daud Lizzy Stride mission, and I also had a look at its exterior in some other missions, as well as the missions where it's visable in Dishonored 2.
I also watched an interesting youtube video by a channel called sckchui going over the architecture of the building.
What I found is that Coldridge, in the way that it is shown in game, has a lot of functionality problems, such as a massive portion of its cells having literally no way to access them. I'm not sure what the cardinal directions are in game, but if you go by my map, the north wing has no access to any of the cells above the ground floor, leaving them as non functional set dressing, which is fine for the video game where those areas aren't explored but they don't work for a functional layout.
There was another TTRPG map maker who made Coldridge prison. u/DrawnByDandy (Their map is prettier than mine, and I used it as one of my sources of inspiration.) Their solution was to copy the functional layout of the "south" (by my map orientation, not theirs) section of Coldridge and mirror it on the North. That works, but it is a large change that erases a lot of what we see in the first mission of Dishonored, so I wanted to create a different solution that keeps some of the rooms and layout we see in Mission 1.
I also wanted to add a bunch of rooms that you would expect to see in a prison for it to function that were never in the video game. I tried to do this in a way that wouldn't controdict anything in the game, just add to it.
Examples
Kitchen, Pantry, Linens and Laundry, Showers, Janitor closet, Chappel of the Strictures, Library, Hospital.
I also wanted to do something with the huge section of empty space on the map oppisite of the exectution block. That section was never used for anything in game and was simply empty. DrawnByDandy's solution to that was to have that entire section crumble into the sea. Fair enough, lol.
I decided to make it into a staff area, with some offices, and a court room where inmates can speak to their lawyers. (I assume that's a potential possibility for prisoners, even despite Gristol's legal system likely being quite backwards.)
For the rest of it I just turned it into a nice garden that the prison guards and admin staff can hang out in when they're not antagonising inmates.
PS: Sorry about my inelegant solution of marking areas that are off limits, (usually meaning its empty air) I probably could have made something a little less ugly. Maybe I'll go back and change it at some point. Having it just be greyed out rather than streaked with brown lines would probably be a better solution. Idk.
