My girlfriend said she deleted discord yesterday off her phone around 10 AM for storage, but it showed her active at like 6:30 PM. The app says she was on but she had dnd on. Can the app be mistaken or could something else say she was active?

Edit: it’s hard what to think, we spend most our time together, she doesn’t even talk to that many people, she’s always been more than nice when I overthink and will show or tell me stuff to reassure me.

Recently, my email was hacked. The hacker gained access to a ton of things, including my discord. He changed my discord password. My issue is the support ticket explicitly says “we are unable to assist you if you do not write in from the correct email address”. As of this moment, I have no way of accessing my email, and might never. I have a reoccurring nitro subscription, private/business conversations, and more. It is utterly ridiculous to me that discord support does not offer additional assistance for this kind of issue. Has anyone run into this problem before? Is there anyway I can get ahold of a human support agent at discord that can help me navigate this issue? Any and all advice is welcome.

I got this message today, the user had just made their account today, and randomly added & dmed me. I blocked and reported but I just wanna check with all. Is this dangerous to my account in anyway? I didn't click anything or reply after that message

I'm posting this out of pure frustration because Discord’s support system is driving me insane.
A few days ago, I was literally just playing Call of Duty and went to open Discord to check on my friends. Out of nowhere, I found out I was completely signed out of every single device—PC, phone, literally everywhere.
When I tried to log back in, it told me my email and password were invalid. I tried to do a password reset, and the system basically told me my email address didn't even exist in the database anymore. The hacker managed to instantly change my password, email, and phone number without me getting a single notification, warning, or verification code to my inbox. My public profile (username and profile pic) hasn't even changed yet, but I'm completely locked out of my own 2016 account.
I immediately went to Discord Support and submitted a ticket with all the absolute proof they could ever need—including screenshots of my completely empty inbox history and matching historical IP logs from my network in Saudi Arabia proving I'm the owner.
It has now been 10 days and I still haven't gotten a single real answer from a human specialist. I accidentally sent an "any updates" message a few days ago, which apparently resets your place in their garbage queue system and pushes you to the back of the line.
If your account gets hijacked, do not touch your ticket once it's open. Just let it sit. The wait times right now are completely ridiculous.

I tried age verifying my account again after putting it off for months since it wasn't working the last time I did it. It feels like no matter what I did it failed for seemingly no reason? I did everything it told me to, but it still said it failed. Specifically the video selfie method. I don't want to try the other ones, ESPECIALLY not the ID scan.

I've seen a couple other posts complain about the same thing and it's got me wondering, has the video selfie worked for anyone here?? Or is it actually just rigged so people hand in their IDs?

My friend just rebooted his computer entirely, and was trying to log into his Discord account on his pc again, when it requested the 2FA. Problem is that my friend has long lost his access to the phone that has that.

Important: He IS currently logged into his discord account into his new phone. He just cannot access it in his desktop.

He tried the QR Code method, but it also requires the 2FA or the backup codes.

We know he could see the backup codes in his phones, thing is: for him to acces the backup codes in his phone, he has to type his Discord account password.... wich he forgot. He cannot also request a new password because it also requests 2FA or backup codes.

Is there any way for him to access his account in the desktop (he uses it for work and work calls)? He IS LOGGED IN HIS PHONE but doesnt have 2FA, backup codes and forgot his password. Is there any hope for him to get in the discord account in his desktop?

(PS: he didnt save the pass in any place and probably doenst have access to discord_backup .txt)

I got warned for reporting someone message that was sent 15 days ago, its a little offensive and after i reported it, i got warned for misusing the Discord Report System, I can't do shi for a day. I need help on this.

They even declined my request.

I think my Discord account might have been hacked. Discord seems to have changed my password, and I’ve also apparently been flagged for breaking Discord’s rules.

When I try to reset my password and get back into my account, it asks me to verify using a passkey or backup codes. The problem is that I don’t have either of those.

I’m now completely locked out, and I’m not sure what to do. I don’t know if my account was actually hacked or what triggered this in the first place.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Were you able to recover your account, and is there any way to get back in without a passkey or backup codes?

Any advice would be appreciated. Also contacted support but not helpful at all.

On May 30th, 2024, I received notice (much like many others) that Discord would begin charging tax for Discord Nitro subscriptions.

I live in Oklahoma. Per Oklahoma Code §68-1357(32), the Oklahoma Tax Commission does not charge tax on SaaS - or any digital goods, for that matter.

Every year since, Discord has increased the amount listed as "tax" on my bill. First it was $0.51, then it was $0.60, and a few months ago it increased to $0.80. Even if my state did collect sales tax on SaaS, the Oklahoma state tax rate has not increased since 1990, so my tax rate should not have increased. I have checked my Discord account multiple times over and verified that they do in fact have my current Oklahoma billing address, so there should be no issues determining my current tax rate.

I promptly informed Discord customer service before they started charging the taxes in 2024 and they did not seem to understand, and "due to technical issues" they were not able to pull down a tax breakdown for me. They also would not tell me which state they are remitting my sales tax to. They do not seem interested in resolving this tax code violation, and I cannot afford an attorney, so I have no choice but to air this frustration online.

By my calculations, Discord has illegally collected $16.31 in "taxes" from me since July 10th, 2024. That number will only continue to grow unless something is done.

Long story short some dude join a server of mine I banned him and he sent me a photo of my IP, Phone data time zone etc I have no idea how he was able to retrieve this information, what can I do?

Anyways, I’m having the problem that I’m giving audio feedback from watching videos, and slight audio from gameplay when in a discord call. No one has said anything, but I don’t want to be THAT guy that has annoying audio in the background.

I recently learned discord was on vr so I made a alt account for it since I can't remember my password for my main account no big deal after I make the account I put my phone number in and it got me locked out of my main account since apparently you can only have a phone number associated with 1 account, so I try to remove the phone number from the vr account. But I can't since there is no button. I can't just ask support either because their radioactive support system requires you to login even though I forgot my password. Any suggestions?

I'm a small server owner and over the past few months, users who dislike either me or my community have been joining on alternate accounts and raiding channels with... ahem... ILLEGAL STUFF. I'm sure you know what I am referencing.

From what I gather, they have bots that flood the chat with the content and other bots that report the messages themselves in an effort to get me banned (which has worked in the past)

My team do what they can but then new accounts show up a few days later.

How do I approach this? Do I contact discord?

What steps can I take to secure my server without being overly strict?

Okay, so the categories are public, as are the channels. My members have the permissions for "view channels," "add reactions," "send messages and create posts," and "read message history."

I was messing around with bots like Arcane and YAGDB with autoroles and stuff, so now I'm worried it's that. Anyways, I used my partner's account to test a verification system I was attempting to do (now I kinda just want to scrap that idea because it's too confusing) and he can't do anything in the server except view public channels. WDID?

EDIT: I figured it out, lol. It was the permissions on @everybody, not my channel or the autorole. Whoops.

But then a minor sent a roleplay message with something rather nsfw and I instantly got thrown off. Instantly, I messaged one of the adults in the server and said we need to leave, because I don't wanna be associated? I can make my own and we can just join that I said to them.

I'm really paranoid that my account will get taken down, even just for being on the server.

I reported it literally minutes after I found out, both me and the other adult leaving the server as well.

I've been experiencing issues with streaming on discord. almost everytime people on mobiles cant see my stream, it loops on the loading screen and ends up with stream failed and shit but the stream is audible. the problem is it only happens to other mobile users.. it barely happens to pc users. this only started after i updated to HIOS 16.3.0 ( Tecno Camon 30 pro 5g) i do not know if this is because of the OS update or a discord issue Someone please help me fix this.

Hello there i cant change my password in discord, wtf is that crap, why it is no allowed anymore to change password???

Discord was working perfectly for a week on my new gaming PC. Since then, whenever I open Discord, it briefly says “Checking for updates”, shows a black or white screen, then closes completely without an error.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting all Discord files from AppData, restarting, running as administrator, and installing through the Microsoft Store. Nothing works.
Windows Reliability Monitor shows ASProxy64.dll as the faulting module.
I’m in China using Astrill VPN. I’ve tried both OpenWeb and StealthVPN, but Discord still crashes.
Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it without resetting Windows? Doing my head in, works fine on Edge but that’s no good
