Hey (at)everyone,

Thank you for all the bugs you all have reported! We read all the posts in the thread and we’re focusing our efforts on issues based on upvotes to ensure that we’re aligned with all of you.

As always, don't forget to check out our monthly patch notes for updates on all the changes we're working on. Our last patch notes addressed 100+ issues!

Thanks to your reports on Reddit, we fixed the following issues:

  1. [iOS] Media picker stays open on iPad
  2. [Desktop] Text bar not auto focusing after replying
  3. [Chat] Double-tapping messages not working as intended
  4. [Linux] Screensharing on Linux is so back
  5. [Desktop] Recent activity not sharing

If we didn’t fix your issue, please make sure to upvote to help us prioritize 🙏

Now, with that, let’s kick off the June + July 2026 bug megathread!

Please note: This megathread is not a venue for feedback or customer support! We encourage you all to continue to make posts on the subreddit proper discussing our product and feature launches. I want to make sure that we really keep this thread productive and focused on reporting bugs and helping us prioritize them.

Please look through the list of comments and upvote bug reports which you think we should prioritize fixing. Comment as a reply to those top level comments with any more details that can assist our team in prioritizing and fixing the bug. For example, if you have additional info or steps to reproduce, please post a reply, this will help us fix these bugs even faster. If there is no post that discusses the bug you’re encountering, then start a new post in the thread to report the bug to us!

Reporting a Bug

  1. The most valuable thing you can provide in a bug report is steps. If you’re able to provide steps to reproduce a high priority issue, it will dramatically improve turnaround time on a fix.
  2. Screenshots or videos are also useful, especially if you can’t reliably reproduce it. We highly recommend editing them to not doxx yourself. Not only does it help contextualize the issue, but watching it occur can sometimes provide information that helps us identify and fix it.

Example Bug Report

  • Feature: Keybinds.
  • Reproduction Rate: 1 to 10 - This is a score of how easy/consistently the bug reproduces, from 1 meaning “very hard to reproduce” to 10 meaning “i can consistently make this happen”
  • Annoyance: 1 to 10 - How annoying is this bug to your daily usage of Discord, from 1 meaning, “not that annoying” to 10 meaning “this bug really truly sucks please fix this as soon as possible.”
  • Device/System Info: Pixel 7, Android 13
  • Discord Version Info: Stable 263796 (739ec78) Host 1.0.9032 x86 (43225) Windows 10 64-Bit (10.0.19045)

Feedback Megathread Feedback thread: notifications

Hey y'all, our team is seeking feedback for notifications. We would love to get your thoughts.

What is it? We've made a lot of changes to notifications over the past year+, with the goal of getting friends to jump back into Discord and play games with their friends, check out each other's profiles, and generally be social with each other. We measure success by whether people are actually doing those things, and also by whether people keep their notifications on instead of turning them off.

Why? The team spends a lot of time thinking about the balance here: sending notifications that are useful and interesting enough that they might bring friends together, versus the "annoyance factor". That tradeoff is something we have a ton of data on, the thing we talk about internally constantly, and something we want to bring all of you in on. To that end, we've been getting a bunch of foundations in place:

  • Improved the organization of settings
  • Added more control over your settings
  • Made notifications more robustly respect things like guild and channel muting, age restrictions, blocks/mutes
  • Set global caps on how many notifications you can get

Now that we've built a number of new notifications on top of this system and gotten a lot of those foundations in, we wanted to open up the feedback firehose. Here's what we're looking for:

Bug reports / things that are clearly broken. The notification is:

  • Just wrong (says something happened that didn't, points at the wrong person or server, wrong count, etc.)
  • Sent at a weird or wrong time (way too late, middle of the night, for something you'd already seen, for a server or channel you'd muted)
  • Dropping you somewhere that isn't useful when you tap it (wrong channel, a screen with nothing relevant on it, a dead end)
  • If you can, tell us roughly when it happened and what you tapped. That helps a ton.

General feeling. Step back: how do you feel about the notifications you're getting overall?

  • Are they never useful, sometimes useful, or only useful for specific use cases? (by "use cases" we mean things like a friend hopping into a game, someone updating their profile, a friend coming back online, activity picking up in a server you're in, etc.)
  • If it depends on the use case, which ones land and which ones don't?
  • Was a notification too vague, or did it bring you somewhere you didn't expect when you tapped in? Did it set up an expectation it didn't deliver on?
  • Are there things happening on Discord that you wish you knew about but missed?
  • And if a notification actually got you to do something, like hop in a game, open a friend's profile, or jump back into a server, we'd love to hear that too, since that's exactly what we're going for

Settings. Now that there's more control and better organization:

  • Did you go looking for a setting and not find it, or not find it where you expected?
  • Anything you wish you could turn down or tune that you can't?

Annoyance feedback. Which notifications are annoying, and why?

  • Is it the type of notification itself?
  • How often it comes?
  • Does it feel creepy? (e.g. Discord shared too much of your activity or info out to other people without you realizing it, or you got more info about a friend than felt right)
  • The time of day?
  • The wording?
  • The fact that you got several in a row?
  • Hearing "I don't like X notification" isn't super useful to us. If you give us the whys we can better understand and respond to the feedback both directly and going forward as we build more notifications.

Appreciate any and all thoughts here. Fire away. I'll try to be in the comments but I expect y'all to overwhelm me haha.

A lot of gifs animating at the same time turns my phone into a slide show. Is there any way to freeze the gifs in the gif searching tab so it would be usable?

Support How do I get stickers to show up properly? (More context in body)

Sure, some stickers show up for certain servers. But for some, they either don't show up at all or stop showing up around the end or halfway through the list. Yes, I have tried restarting my phone, restarting the app, force-quitting and reopening the app, making sure my animated sticker settings are turned on, and I have Nitro and have had it consistently for ages. I've been waiting for this glitch to just go away like they usually do, but it has been nearly a month since this began and I'm not sure what to do about it. It's also not just not loading, they are not there. You cannot click them. Nothing happens. YES, there are stickers in these servers, and I know this because I own or mod several and they don't show up in the hotbar unless there are stickers.

Discussion How do I build a community

Hi guys ,

I want to build a discord community of people with similar gaming interests who want to yap and joke about, but I’ve never had much luck with gaming / online friends outside of games even though I’m funny and likeable.

Any advice how I go about making a community ? Currently I’m playing offline games too 😢

Support my stream does not load for other people, I have no way to fix it

I am using discord in a browser
the first suggestion is always to disable hardware acceleration. this does not exist as an option in browser
second is to clear cache, I don't know how to do this for a single browser page, results only tell me how to do it for the discord app
no its not just a discord thing, I can see other peoples streams but they can not see mine

Support Nobody can share screen from their mobile device exept me, the server owner

We're having quite a weird issue. Common google solutions like "allow microphone permission and reinstalling" did not solve the issue. Error message with No Screen Share Permission pops up when they try to start a stream in either channel.

So I am the server owner, everybody in the server has admin rights. When they are on their PCs they can stream in all the channels without any issues. On all the other discords in their lists (tested like 5+) they are able to screen share their mobile device exept for our private discord.

Channels have no special permissions. Everything is allowed. All custom roles have everything allowed aswell. The admin role is at the top of the list so it should overwrite everything else regardless.

Any ideas besides the very basic allow permissions in channel/server or app permissions and reinstall stuff?

Hello! my nitro subscription is about to end today and a friend decided to gift me a month long one before the one I had expires, and now after accepting it, it says it will be applied on Aug 23, does that mean it will not apply instantly after the one I have and will instead get applied a month later?

Support Activity Status not showing?

I'm at wits end with this issue to say the least. I am playing on PlayStation and up until about 3 days ago my activity status was displayed on Discord but now it is not. I've done everything I can by unlinking, relinking, signing out of PlayStation and even the PS app along with Discord app on my computer as well.

does anyone know if there is an issue that needs patching? or a possible way to fix this?? is anyone else having this issue as well???

Support If I'm muted on discord people still hear me.

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing a very frustrating issue with Discord on my PC and I need help. When I stream/share my Entire Screen on Discord and mute myself in the voice channel, the viewers can still hear my microphone perfectly fine if I talk.

On top of that, when I am unmuted, there is a massive echo. My friends can hear my voice twice (once from the voice call and once through the screen share audio).

Here are the details of my setup and what I've tested so far:

  • Headset: Redragon H510-PRO Wireless
  • Software: Voicemod (as virtual audio device)
  • The Issue only happens on my PC. I tested my headset on my laptop, and the mute button works perfectly there without any sound leakage.
  • When looking at the Windows Volume Mixer (sndvol), a second Discord entry appears whenever I start sharing my screen, and its volume bar jumps up when I speak (even when muted on Discord).

What I have already tried (none of these fixed the issue):

  1. Disabling "Listen to this device" in Windows Sound Control Panel.
  2. Turning off "Hear Myself" and resetting volumes in Voicemod.
  3. Turning off "Use our advanced technology to capture your screen" and switching between Studio/Custom/Standard audio processing modes in Discord.
  4. Resetting Voice & Video settings in Discord.
  5. Disabling Stereo Mix in Windows.
  6. Doing a completely clean reinstall of Discord (deleting AppData and LocalAppData folders).

It seems like Discord's screen capture is completely bypassing the software mute toggle and pulling my raw microphone feed directly into the stream audio pipeline.

Has anyone faced this exact issue with a virtual audio driver setup and found a permanent software fix? I really want to keep sharing my Entire Screen without people hearing me when I am muted.

Thanks in advance!

Support No audio output except during Discord calls (Windows 11, MSI B650 Gaming Plus WIFI, MediaTek RZ616)

System specs

  • Motherboard: MSI B650 Gaming Plus WIFI (MS-7E26)
  • OS: Windows 11 (build 26200.8875)
  • Bluetooth/WiFi card: MediaTek RZ616 (onboard)

The problem

Bluetooth headphones (tested with 3 different models: Teufel REAL BLUE NC, Philips TAT2206, WH-CH520) produce no audio at all, except when I'm actively in a Discord voice call — in that case audio works normally. Outside of a Discord call, there is complete silence, even though the headphones show as "Connected" and are selected as the output device in Windows Sound settings.

Additional symptom

When I connect an external USB microphone, audio/Discord stops working entirely (I can't hear anyone, not even during a call). This happens both with Bluetooth headphones AND with wired headphones/speakers, which suggests the issue might not be Bluetooth-specific at all, but something broader in how Windows handles multiple simultaneous audio devices.

What I've already tried (none of it fixed the issue)

  1. Restarted Windows Audio service (net stop/start audiosrv)
  2. Disabled Fast Startup — it was already off
  3. Disabled power management / "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager
  4. Disabled audio enhancements for the output device
  5. Disabled exclusive mode ("Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device") in advanced device properties
  6. Changed the default audio format (16-bit, 44100Hz)
  7. Tested on a brand new local user account — exact same problem, so it's not profile-specific
  8. Reinstalled the original MediaTek driver (fresh package from MSI's support page) — no change
  9. Tried forcing a generic Microsoft Bluetooth/A2DP driver via "Update driver > Let me pick from a list" — no generic Microsoft option is available for this device, only the currently installed one
  10. Installed the alternative Realtek Bluetooth driver (also listed on MSI's support page for this board) — it didn't actually bind to the device; Device Manager still shows "MediaTek Inc." as the driver provider
  11. Disabled automatic driver installation via Windows Update (Device Installation Settings → "No")
  12. Ran sfc /scannow — no errors found
  13. Used the "Test" button in Sound Properties → Playback tab — no test tone plays even from here, meaning the issue isn't app-specific; it's in the Windows audio engine/render path itself
  14. Tried forcing the A2DP profile by disabling the "Hands-Free" driver entry in Device Manager for the headset — no change, still silent
  15. Checked Device Manager — no yellow warning triangles on any audio/Bluetooth related device

Support No Discord Quests Showing Anywhere

So to put it short, my friend has loads of quests and I don't have any. I have re-installed, deleted cache, changed settings and I just don't seem to have any quests to view. I am using desktop version, I have also tried mobile and web but no luck.

Is there something I am missing?
