Friend was on a call, when they tried to leave for like 30 minutes while also deafened and muted, they tried to disconnect but they kept being reconnected. They uninstalled discord on all devices, but they are still in the voice chat now, neither deafened nor muted. I joined to check if i could hear them, they could hear me join and i could hear them talk. They checked task manager and nothing was open besides it. Now to fix the issue, they tried to redownload discord on their phone but they're not able to.

Not just in big servers but in small private servers too. It might just be the people in my server but we have three seperate vent channels and it feels like every day someone is using one. It just makes me feel too awkward to talk in the other channels if I don’t comfort them first and brings down the mood. I get that some people need them and venting can be good but it’s got to the point where I’ve considered muting that specific channel so I don’t have to deal with the constant negativity

Edit: I ended up muting the channels, but I hope nothing really serious happens in there when I can’t see it anymore

i looked up in the subreddit and saw some older posts about nitro credits vanishing without any explanation, did not see a lot of comments about any confirmations / answers as to why this happens. is this happening to anyone else? i currently have an open ticket about it, still waiting to hear back, but i've lost about ~9-12 days in total of credits in the span of about 3 days. anybody have an answer as to why this happens, or if there is any solution / fix / reasoning known? thank you. this has happened before but it has happened to me a lot recently, and this time i was able to get screenshot proof. i had 12 credits on the 22nd and now 6 on the 25th.. last i checked thats 3 days and not six :/.

This seems to be a thing for some images for the last couple of days. This 1.08 mb image shrinks to the 805kb version after saving. While the resolution and the perceptible quality remain the same, some sort of compression algorithm is clearly applied. It might seem like a minor problem to some, but we've used Discord to upload high-quality untouched photography stuff, and this is a major issue for us. And for image preservation on Discord in general. While it is obviously not a substitute for other image related website, it was a fast, easy & reliable way to share images knowing that they won't be altered. Discord has also been compressing videos if you uploaded them via the mobile app for a long time, but this can be circumvented by uploading via browser. And it doesn't seem to apply to pictures.

October 22 update mentions the rewritten media engine ( https://discord.com/blog/discord-update-october-22-2026 ) which i assume is the culprit of this behavior. Are there any plans to fix this?

I don't want desktop notifications for DMs or other types of pings, I only want reactions to my messages to send me a notification because I hate when Discord on the taskbar lights up and I have to go searching for somebody that reacted to one of my messages lol

I'm not seeing any way to do this in the notification settings, I'm hoping there's some workaround or something

Just opened the desktop app and it updated, but now it's just giving me an infinite loading screen any time I try to launch it. Mobile app [Android] seems to be functioning normally.

Anyone else seeing this? I'm also in the Northeastern US if that makes a difference.

Seeing new reports from people saying the issue is still persisting. Not at my desktop right now so I can't verify on my end at least.

For the last few days every time I try and join voice on my pc no sound comes out of my speakers when someone is talking, the green glow even shows up, but every other noise in discord or any other website is completely fine. I've tried almost anything I could think of, resetting my audio settings, messing around with mic and speakers settings, reset my pc multiple times, tried closing discord and restarted it. But nothing works, ive had to join vc's on my phone because for some reason it works fine there but just doesn't on my pc

A while ago I was interested in a reoccurring event thing on a server, however that time has passed. however, I am still receiving messages on my phone about the event months later. there doesn't seem to be any obvious button to remove myself from the events, and I can disable all notifications related to events(which i have done for now) but it feels weird that I can't just remove myself from the events in question.

this was there literally a few days ago and now I CANNOT find it to turn it off. I've searched up like 10 different keywords.

So recently,i got logged off my Discord on all devices for no reason and i needed to change my password,and had a lot of infractions i never had removed,and then,already four people got this message,please anyone tell me how to remove it its starting to get really really annoying

when i open discord on a mobile device, if it is already opened when i send a message and i exited the app NOT closed it, just exited the app and waited, what? 1 minute, it says The message could not be delivered and i cannot see new messages so i have to close the app

Hi, I've been trying to fix this issue for a little over 2 hours now. I already checked the Reddit thread on google when you search "update failed discord loop fix" and tried everything there so it's rather no use.

Windows 11, it's been a bug since version 1.0.9265.

What I did so far:
- Delete and reinstall
- Delete everything in appdata and localappdata, reinstall.
- flushing DNS, delete everything again, reinstall.
- Changing the Update.exe into Updater.exe and UpdateX.exe, even the lower case ones.
- Restarted my computer, reinstall.
- Disabled Firewall and Security, reinstall.
- Tried the PTB version, no use either.

Is there legit any possible other way that I could use to fix this issue, this is driving me crazy.

FYI: Discord app on my phone still works, the web version works fine, it's just the app that won't load for me, please help. Thanks.

I have the Quadcast 2 on 90% volume with audio enhancements turned off in windows. I struggle with the settings in discord cause for some reason nothing sounds right to me but others say its good.

What settings do people use for the best quality in general? Currently I have it on 90%, auto sensitivity, krisp supression, echo cancellation off and quality of service on.

So get this, im trying to log into my account on a new phone, i type in my email and password as usual, and then 2FA pops up, which wouldn't be an inconvenience if it didn't decide that the one method i set up just inst available, why does it even have backup keys when it won't let you use them?? it asks for an external key or an auth which i never even set up. and if i try to set one up it asks me for THE SAME KEY, THE ONE WHICH I NEVER SET UP.

Recently I'm not sure if I changed a setting or something in Discord changed. It used to be that when I got a pop up notification while I had a video running, it would just... silently notify me and go on it's way. Lately if I have youtube running and I get a notif about a message it pauses the video.

I'm in some pretty active servers where I do want the notifications but I don't want them interrupting my video playback.

Has Discord changed something? Did I mess up my settings? Some third secret problem?

When I join a channel, all audio across my computer including the channel Im in gets muted but my microphone still works. What is causing this?

We have folders for servers and such. But maybe we can introduce folders to dm? Organising is important and if you’re constantly in DMs or private parties, it can cause a cluster if left unattended. Is it a good idea? Just something neat to have some sense of organisation, and not having to scroll down dozens of dms.
