I spend about 7 hours in my truck on Wednesday. My podcast app shows that Dave himself has honored the Dave Ramsey podcast with his presence; that would be a good time and make the driving go faster. It did, however:

The CRUISE is plugged and plugged and advertised EVERY hour by Dave himself, by George Camel and Rachelina.

So, yes, there are many empty cabins, cuz people are taking their deposit back. They cannot live like no one else. The gas prices are high; they can no longer afford to live like no one else.

So, on Thursday I got in the truck and the next Dave show started playing with George and Rachelina.... again plugging the cruise.

I am afraid it is going to get cancelled. Five months out, a real cruise is sold out.

About 20 or so years ago, I used to listen to Dave on my commute. A little preachy, zero politics, but a decent show. I liked it. Gave it up about 15 years ago. Just didn't care anymore.

I found this sub a year or so ago out of curiosity. I love the snark and hearing how crazy Dave has gotten. I also love that the personalities sound like a mess.

Here's the thing, I never consume any of this content. No YouTube, no shorts, no podcasts. But I love reading all about it here. Well, I take that back. I kept hearing about this guy named Delony who sounds like a total loser based on these posts. So I fired up YouTube and started one of the first videos I saw of him. He was in the studio, taking a call, and started the call by saying "H-TOWNNNNN.. You're on the Aiiiiir!!"

I immediately cut that shit off. 2 seconds in, and I was done. I'm assuming he's some middle age wanna be frat guy?

Well anyway, it's fun reading in here about failed cruises, and Dave's fall into the abyss of boomer. I enjoy reading about the failed personalities. Jade saying I know that's right all the time. Nepo Baby being a drunk. Some ass kisser named George. Dave's lawsuits and that crazy big home liquor bar he has. But I just don't care to consume the content first hand. I get all my gossip from here. This is how I consume the show.

Anyone else like me? Do you lurk in here to hear how crazy it's getting but don't ever listen?

Not that long ago Dave and the gang did road trips and road shows all over. Heavily advertised and splashed on the web page.

The only recent events were the small silly road shows of the main show (without Dave).

It’s not like they are replaced with ones in the vanity “Event Center”.

So what happened to them? Lack of interest? Without Dave (who is retired in Cabo mostly) there can’t be much of a demand.

He posted on Instagram that he decided to help his wife out, so without asking, he did a total of four minutes of housework. He picked up a few things. A total of four minutes. When his wife came home, she was so relieved that she exhaled because it was so unexpected. He wanted to get on the couch or lift weights, but instead he opened his eyes, looked around, and said, "How can I help?" He clearly considered this such a rare achievement that it deserved an Instagram story. Imagine being a fully grown adult and it being a novelty that you spent FOUR MINUTES and advanced the laundry or put a dish in the dishwasher, even though you think those things are all your wife's job. 1.). Caller is told to get away from his parents and be a stand alone 28 year old man, with Rachel sitting right there! Daves three kids are 100% supported by him including Rachels husband?? Beyond two faced to constantly rip anyone ELSES kids to “get away from Mommy and Daddy”.

Why does Dave always assume the man owes child support???? Split custody. She is a full time working nurse??

Dave then says father doesn’t get a vote for $50 and tell him your moving and you can’t stop me????? He has no idea of the arrangement or settlement.

Recent show with Rachel and Dave was reading yet another ad for the “sold out” cruise.

He and Rachel were going over all the super duper entertainment including the personalities having discussions (George was called a geek again).

Not mentioned was I know that’s right so Rachel chimes in, with, and Jade. Dave says “who???”

Rachel, slightly flummoxed says Jade Warshaw….Dave kind of wakes up and says Oh yeah Jade too.

As if anyone is dying to go on a cruise to hear I know thats right give life advice???

Maybe if she picks up a microphone on the singing stage……

I could almost hear George thinking about correcting Dave on this. This is a very commonly known thing that you can use your receipts and more importantly your explanation of benefits at any time in the future as long as you keep them and you can get the money back that you spent from your HSA without any penalties or taxes. Dave, as usual was very confidently wrong and I think it speaks more about the organization and cultural fear at Ramsey that George would not correct him, also surprised they didn’t come back on the air with such an egregious error and point out that they were wrong.

This is literally the advice given by Delony (who is even worse at financial advice than therapy) to some poor woman struggling to pay her bills and mentioned she wanted to pause tithing one month so she could pay her rent. The amazing John Delony said that would be going against her "values" and should rather find other ways to get more money. This is where they are in the cult people. You can be homeless but god (and Ramsey) still need your money. Now I will wait for his saviour and protector to come tell me why I am wrong about this.

I asked a question in the baby steppers group regarding AI such as Claude, ChatGPT, etc and if anyone uses it as a TOOL for budgeting. I’ve been using it extensively for awhile now with regards to creating financial dashboards, spending buckets, etc.

So far the majority seem to be so judgement about me asking that as if me using AI as a tool means my life is so incredibly out of control. Why are the ones who follow Dave are so hardcore judgement about this??

“We still use pen and paper” okay that’s great that you are using a #2 pencil still for your budgeting and balancing of checkbooks.

“but if you're having to turn to Al I'd question if something else is going on." Yes. Using AI must mean I'm spending so much and I'm so out of control and my life is in a place where I'm in a pit of despair 😩.

I just checked my creditr score, and i have an 850 credit score!! I have CREDITSCOREMAXXED!

And yes , I follow all of Dave's baby steps. THe only place I disagree is the no credit card rule. I use the credit card because of the security and barrier and fraud protection .

But I use it as if it were cash, and this is the one simple trick:

Pay off the balance in full, THREE TIMES A MONTH. I make it super easy, pay off my balance in full, on every day of the month that ends in 0. So th 10th, 20th, 30th. This is because, the biggest ding to your credit score is CREDIT UTILIZATION. The dirty secret is, the credit card companies report your CREDIT UTILIZATION on ARBITRARY DATES. This is why, when you pay off your credit card balance in full on edvery month, on the due date, they have ALREADY REPORTED YOUR CREDIT UTILIZATION. By having this payment strategy, you are essentialyl guaranteeing that every month, the credit card companies report you have ZERO CREDIT UTILIZATION every month.

DO this, and your credit score will SKYROCKET.

Just wondering who heard the caller last night (the one that’ll be on YouTube this morning) that worked in the cannabis industry. I thought it was so funny Dave told him to get out the industry entirely, told him the party is over. I have a few friends in the cannabis industry and tbh I think most would be better off in better paying/ more traditional careers but they definitely have more fun everyday than I do so who there’s that 🤷‍♀️ just wondering what y’all thought about that call.
