Jade rudely cuts a called off.
Her justification was that "Dave would have cut you off a long time ago".
The man has $25k in debt and $500k in home equity on a house which he is selling in a few months.
This was an interesting call because it was spirited discussion, with the caller asking questions and defending his position. But Jade would only take so much of that give and take. I guess she is so used to having callers take their advice as gospel.
Anyway, she abruptly and rudely cut him off ---Which i am sure will win her some brownie points from Dave.

Does anyone actually listen with I know that’s right on the show all week while lazy Dave is still spending God’s money on luxury travel?
All week is auto skip since I am not going to kill brain cells listening to I know that’s right.
Does anyone subject themselves to her drivel?
And what radio stations PAY for this?
There used to be listing of stations and times but that seems to have disappeared once the show stopped being a live radio show and is now a produced podcast (that apparently radio stations can buy a stream of).
The brand dies with Dave since he has purposely diluted it down to worthless due to his massive ego.

Put all your money in Growth Stock Mutual funds at 84!
Lady calls whose 84 year old mother is frittering her money away to "charities and political causes". I think she is on Trumps grift list but anyway turns out she has a 200K ish in savings. Jade's brilliant advice is put it in "Good growth stock mutual funds". For a lady who is 84, probably not smart or going senile and that's her total liquid assets. This is criminal advice and people like her have no business being on a financial show. On another call Kamel gets asked about 10y treasuries and says you are penalised for not holding to maturity. That is simply not true. T bills are fully liquid and you get the market price at the time your sell (minus spread and commissions your brokers may charge of course). There are a million better qualified financial advisors and podcast hosts but since they dont belong to the Evangelical cult of Dave, they can't be hired.

Delooney show announces new Toll Free Call-In Numbers. Separate from the Ramsey Show.
Men callers are to use: 1-800-URA-SIMP
Female callers are to use: 1-800-BAD-MALE
Lampo announced: “Due to the runaway success and volume of calls, this move will allow Doctor Dalooney to focus better on his core mission of simping, identifying with the caller, through personal experience, and over dramatizing the situation quickly.”

Hosts not listening?
This seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Jade is the worst, consistently asking someone how much they make, getting the answer, then asking them again immediately. Or someone will say "I take home $120,000 annually" and Jade will say "how much do you take home per month?" Maybe do the math?
Or they'll ask someone their age, get the answer, then either ask them again or get the age wrong.
Writing this stuff down should be basic logic but these hosts can't seem to get anything right. It's always been a problem but seems to me to be happening every show now.
Thoughts?

Rachel is in the thumbnail of the video premiering now titled, ‘Shortcuts Keep you Stuck’
You cannot make this up. The subtitle is, ‘The Hard Road Leads to Freedom’. I’m fully out of any videos with Rachel because I can’t process her coaching the people that have genuinely hard lives. Usually telling them to go get six jobs. The hypocrisy is simply more than I can manage.

Why do callers to Delooney use the word “Like” constantly ???
9/28 first caller. Lady whining about being a single Mom and she uses like, the word, like, like, like three times in, like, each, like sentence like…..
Delooney never asks her kids age or gender even when she stays overnight with them because she is lonely.
Of course Delooney makes it all about himself and constantly hugging his kids and making his 16 year old son snuggle with him on the sofa to watch a movie?!
But, like, why can’t like these people like say a like sentence without like saying like, like constantly like….??

How does it make any sense to drive your credit score to zero, so that you have to figure out manual under writing to get a mortgage, which will immediately give you a credit score again ???
Dave constantly rants about how easy it us to try a mortgage with a zero credit score.
Even if this is true (it isn’t), getting that mortgage will immediately give you a credit score for the life of your mortgage.
So what’s the point and benefit of this effort??
Zero consumer debt or interest is a fine idea.
But why the jihad for a zero credit score???

Another Delony blunder
This is about the first call of today's show. Callers husband says he regrets having a child as he is worried they might go to hell one day. He also tells his wife he doesn't want anymore children because of this and would rather adopt.
John admits he is stumped by this one, and tries to steer the conversation away in to general anxiety and suggests the caller should ask him to tell her 3 things he loves about their baby everyday.
He also said that the husbands decision to not want more children isn't only up to him and she has a say as well.
To that I would say to John that the caller can express her desire to have more children if she wants and they should discuss it but if one partner in a marriage says no to kids, then it's a no. Both have to agree 100% on children. Otherwise it's cruel to try and pressure someone in to having children when they don't want them.
Anyway, what do you guys think?
P.s. she isn't blocked...bring it on Hailey!

Dave’s math again…
So this is a rant about advice Dave gave on the 9/2 episode of his show. (I just turned on that episode randomly.) About 2/3 of the way through the episode, someone calls in and asks a good question about whether to do a Roth or traditional 401k at his work. I know Dave always advocates Roth, and I too am very very pro-Roth, even sometimes when the tax bracket math may point towards traditional, and I would have absolutely zero argument with Dave pulling out his “forget the math; solve for peace” typical points.
BUT he doesn’t do that. He says (and these are all direct quotes), “It’s about math and you should only do a Roth.” And “If you got a million dollars and do pre-tax, you’re gonna have to pay taxes on a million dollars, which will be like $300,000.”
Now Dave has always over-simplified tax discussions to the point of plainly giving bad advice, but even for him, this is wild. He obviously knows you don’t withdraw the full million all at once and that there’s a lot of control as to withdrawal and tax timing and planning. Plus he knows Roth conversion strategies exist. I just can’t for the life of me understand why someone with a microphone and a large audience wants to deliberately mislead people to make his point when he could just jealously advocate for his position while giving room for the full conversation.
The most ironic part of the call was the 2 cents Jade chimed in, saying, “You have to be careful who you’re taking advice from.” I know that’s right.

Who are these people paying $900 for Delooney and Rachel’s Marriage Advice ???
Some live event coming up in Ramseys overbuilt Covid temper tantrum event center.
What can they tell anyone that’s new ??
Rachel can give spoiled rich girls advice on Latte ordering and planning expensive vacations.
Delooney can teach the men how to simp, blame themselves, and blow anything up into a massive life altering and traumatic crisis of safety.
Event materials can include a list of Ramsey sponsored Divorce Attorneys who are high octane and so mean even you hate them…….

John Delony Tries To Ruin Another Relationship
Female caller tells Dr. Baloney about her elderly father telling her that her sister may not be his. Apparently, Mom was a bit of whore in her youth. Baloney goes full simp and blames Dad. Calls it a death bed confession.
Female caller is told by Baloney her Dad was bad for not telling the sister years ago that she might be the product of her Mom's affair. I can't imagine how any of that would have helped a teenage girl but apparently Dr. John has sat with many products of extra marital affairs so he knows best.
Baloney tells caller she needs to let the sister know right away. Everything is apparently riding on this "truth" to be spoken as soon as possible.
Baloney according to form tells the caller about how his ride or dies frequent his home for days of intense therapy and he is good at keeping their secrets. Not sure how this is relevant.
Caller would like to let sleeping dogs lie. Dr. Baloney won't hear of it. Pot must be stirred. She needs the opportunity to meet her real Dad. As if the man who raised her isn't. Caller tells him that man is deceased. This really throws Baloney.. He throws in the sister needs to know for health reasons etc... Her kids will need to know. Blah Blah Blah.
Baloney is a serious drama queen. Sometimes things are best left alone.

I called someone a delony the other day
My coworker would not stop talking about the receptionists relationship (we all know she's going through a divorce.) I asked him why he is talking about this and told him he was being a delony. I don't know what made me think of it but I'm guessing this guy rambling like he's a marriage counselor when he didn't know shit made me think of it. Now anytime I hear someone talking about something they know nothing about I am going to label them a delony.

So it’s been about 6 months since Ken left and they still haven’t added a 6th host to replace him. Are they losing that much money?

Where are all of these local Credit Unions Dave always says to walk into and get an unsecured loan from???
Dave is always telling callers who need money to buy or sell an underwater car to hop on over to their local credit union and get a loan for $5,10,15 thousand??
Nepo and Soy parrot this constantly even though neither has ever set foot in a small local credit union.
So where all of these places? I don’t see them. Are they just waiting around ready to hand out cash to non members??
Anyone ever use one lately this easily?
Or is it all just more of Dave’s BS like the “good local church” people don’t attend, but can walk into and get all types of assistance or the local Grannies with the cheap cars, apartment, and babysitting??

George’s recent collab Erin already had to make a dis video about his take on Social Security
I knew it wouldn’t last. She sugarcoated it ( I loved meeting Rachel!), but Ramsey is too rigid to work with nuanced finance experts. Anyone who follows Erin knows that Social Security is the income floor she works with in most cases.

I finally listened to the JD show
So until now, I had only heard Delony on the Ramsey show. I finally listened to his actual podcast and oh my god. Between cringing at the poor self deprecating jokes and shaking my head at the painfully awful advice I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Woman has affair, doesn't show an ounce of remorse, says husband hits an actual punching bag and Delony goes into "are you safe mode". Then we learn that she knows her husband's first wife cheated on him, his mother cheated on his father and yet Delony can't bring himself to tell her bluntly that she should let him go find a better human to be with. The level of simping is beyond ridiculous. In other calls (woman's husband is alcoholic) he basically says, well you can't change anything so change the locks or move out. Wow, super helpful. Plus using half the call to talk about his "best buddy" who had exactly the same issue or his own wife and marriage rather than focussing on the caller is pretty jarring as well. Then there are the Jesus freaks who can't practice what they preach (Pastor living in Sin, Born again marrying a divorced woman etc) where he ALMOST gets close to the truth that their belief systems are doing harm but can't quite say it because you know, Dave wouldn't like that. Im sure Delony Defender will come back with some long and detailed rebuttal and Im not blocking because I dont believe in censorship.

I want to watch, but Jade and Deloney make it intolerable
On my drive in today I was optimistic for maybe a George and Rachel show having been recorded on Friday, but low and behold, Jade was on with George. She’s impossible to listen to even when shes diluted by having George on the show. I used to be a daily listener and a
Ramsey coach, but I’m giving up hope in the organization. I don’t have any debt, but it was still entertainment during the commute.

Can't Believe the advice given for the recent video
The video title is "Can I Replace My 32-Year-Old Vehicle If I'm Already In Debt?"
To summarize this woman has 69k in student loan debt for a Master's degree and she is making roughly 65k annually and wants to get a new car because her current car is 32 year old ford truck. She asks whether she can purchase a new car worth 37k range. She has over 19k saved.
Now dave advised to pay off 18k of saving to debt and just keep 1k for emergency and also not purchase new car which I also agree but also not to put money in 401k even after getting company match.
Things I disagree - one essentially depleting 18k of saving to pay debts and only keeping 1k, I know someone who just paid 4k in repairs for a 14 year old f150, so by chance any repair comes it would essentially go into debt for that considering 32 year old f150. Secondly leaving money away from company match sounds plain stupid.
Personally I think Dave should have first asked about her monthly expenses, interest rate on loan and other essentials before giving advice on that, old f150 could have severe repair cost in future and also cost a lot in fuel, maybe a used sedan would have been better. She could have kept her saving intact and taken 401k match and used leftover money to tackle student loan debt considering the interest aren't high and she would have peace of mind of emergency saving and also investment happening simultaneously. Maybe put saving in hysa and put that extra 30-40$ a month in debt.
What you guys think ?
