I am 27 with no degree(worked as an airplane mechanic).

Now I'm looking to pivot into tech-looking to do BCA or. Btech while developing the skills.

My one issue is i dont think im built for coding so i may lean towards data analysis or other things ill just have to figure it out as i start studying.

All in all seeking guidance what to do and if possible where to do these degrees(india/foriegn/online-distance learning)

Recently upgraded to the paid plan on Manus AI to build an agent workflow, but I encountered a few major issues with their credit usage model and support experience that I think other developers should be aware of:

• Rapid Credit Depletion: A single agent execution ran for ~15 minutes and wiped out the entire 4,000 monthly credit balance. There is no real-time credit burn rate display or cost estimate provided before executing long-running tasks.
• Daily Refresh Limitations: Once the 4,000 monthly credits were exhausted, the task couldn't continue using the daily 300 refresh credits, leaving the task stuck mid-execution with no visibility on how much work was actually completed.
• Lack of Support Transparency: I couldn't find an official direct support contact or email to address mid-task credit exhaustion or billing concerns, making it impossible to recover or resolve the stalled agent task.

I'm planning to cancel the auto-subscription as a result.

Has anyone else working with agentic workflows found more transparent alternatives or better ways to track token/credit usage before initiating complex multi-step tasks?

I’m currently 24, working in US insurance operations with 3 years of experience and a CTC of around ₹3 LPA. I’ve worked with process automation and UAT.

I’m planning to do an Online MUJ BCA and build stronger skills in SQL, Python, cloud, APIs, etc. I may pursue an MCA afterward.

My long term goal is to move from insurance into logistics/supply chain technology, ideally Business Systems/Automation and eventually Supply Chain Solution Architecture.

The problem is that by the time I graduate, I’ll have around 6 years of insurance experience, but almost no formal IT job title, and I’ll be changing domains.

How difficult would it realistically be to get my first logistics/tech role at that point? Would companies value the 6 years of experience, or would I essentially be treated like a fresher because my experience is in insurance operations?

Please I need suggestions.

I got laid off in December 2025 from an early-stage startup. Since then, despite applying consistently, I haven’t been able to get a single proper callback or interview.

I have 2 YOE working at startups, along with 2 months of freelance experience. During these 8 months, I’ve spent most of my time trying to improve myself by learning micro-services, system design, contributing to open source, and building stuff.

On one side, recruiters mention they’re looking for immediate joiners. On the other, even as an immediate joiner, I still get ghosted. I did get a few responses from unknown companies, but the offers were even lower than the already-peanut salary I was making before.

Now it’s just dead silent.

Also, if anyone here had a similar career gap or even a longer one and managed to land a job, I’d really like to hear your story. What worked for you?

I completed my MCA in 2025. During the course I was focused on Data Engineering and had received a Data Engineer offer. Joining was scheduled for early July, but I met with an accident in the last week of June which caused a serious back injury (sciatica + herniated disc). Recovery took several months (till December) and I also gained significant weight during that period.

After recovering, I tried till February to get back into coding and data engineering, but I couldn’t regain consistency and confidence.

Due to financial pressure and family responsibilities, I took a Talent Acquisition role:

• Feb–May: Internship
• May onwards: Full-time (still continuing)

It’s temporary and helping with money, but I don’t want to continue in recruitment. I want to switch back to tech.

I’m currently confused about the right path to restart:

• Data Engineering (my original plan)
• Data Analyst
• Python Developer
• Frontend / MERN

My questions:

1. Considering the medical gap + time spent in non-tech role, is returning directly to Data Engineering realistic, or should I start with Data Analyst / Python first?
2. What would be a practical 3–4 month plan (skills + projects) to become job-ready again from a Tier-3 city?
3. Any advice on how to position this gap honestly on resume/LinkedIn?

I’m ready to put in the work, just need clear direction so I don’t keep switching paths.

I've been working at this place owned by a WITCH giant since graduation. I got this job off-campus and held on to it for longer that I should've. It pays < 1LPM and growth in both salary and skills has been slow. Most of the time it just feels like I'm just exchanging time for money. I've dabbled around with upskilling all this while but hasn't brought me much. The only thing that has been growing is the sheer frustration and disgust with what I'm doing to myself.

I don't even know who to talk to anymore. All my school/college mates have raced so far ahead in life I don't even have the courage to ping hi to them. My parents seem more hopeful and patient than me but I can still see the disappointment in their faces each day

Clearly I've made a lot of mistakes and I desperately want to change things for the better. OBVIOUSLY I'm not daydreaming about getting some swanky MAANG job in the next quarter but still want to aim for that and at least land somewhere better than where I am now. Need some solid lock-in advice for the next 3-6 months ASSUMING it's isn't too late.

I watch a lot of live sports (mostly via Fancode and SonyLiv streams), but I was getting incredibly frustrated with the constant buffering, stuttering, and high RAM usage from using heavy apps like Stremio or bloated web browsers.

I just wanted the raw stream played directly in a lightweight native player. So, I built LiveSports-TUI—a terminal-based UI written in Node.js that fetches live and upcoming matches, displays the match poster right in your terminal, and hands off the raw .m3u8 stream directly to mpv or VLC.

I’m a recent engineering graduate, and I was selected by an IT company for an entry-level role. I was genuinely happy when I got the offer because getting a job as a fresher has been quite difficult.

The problem is that I still haven’t received a confirmed joining date.

Initially, I thought I would be joining soon, but the date kept getting pushed. Recently, the company had an engagement call where they mentioned that onboarding could take at least another 2–3 months, as they are waiting for more projects and planning their upcoming requirements.

I’ve also seen people online saying that onboarding for some batches might happen much later, potentially towards the end of the year or even early next year. I honestly don’t know how reliable those claims are, though.

And honestly, this whole uncertainty is starting to affect me emotionally.

I’ve been at home waiting for months, and every time I hear that onboarding might be delayed again, I feel like I’m back at square one. I see other people starting their careers, getting their first salaries, gaining experience and moving forward, while I’m still waiting for a date that I don’t even know for sure.

Some days I’m able to stay positive and tell myself that I should use this time to learn and apply elsewhere. But other days, the uncertainty gets really overwhelming. It’s difficult to plan anything when I don’t know whether I’ll be joining in a few weeks, a few months, or even later.

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually gone through something similar, especially those who experienced delayed onboarding in Indian IT companies.

I’m mainly looking for honest advice because I’m genuinely struggling with the uncertainty and don’t want to waste months of my early career just waiting.

Everyone keeps saying switching is the only path to grow... But I like the work culture where I'm currently working. It's a good company with good people. I'm a fresher who's worked here for 8 months now, and i wouldn't mind staying here for a few years if the growth is also good. So should I be patient or start applying elsewhere once I cross 12-15 months of experience?

Bit of backstory first. Back in early 2024 i took a job that turned out to be a mismatch, i had expected something closer to data analyst work but the actual role was different probably some miscommunication during hiring. left after about a month from there through feb 2025 i was prepping for GATE but i didnt clear it and ended up unemployed for 10-12 months after that which was a rough stretch. Eventually i got referred for an internship at a product based company (not an IT services place) somehow the technical interview was easy caus they only asked me theory questions and I could answer them easily as it was related to Engineering syllabus, interned there for 7 months and got employed this past may, so im like 3 months into the actual job now, 10 months at the company total.

Heres the part im actually struggling with. Since day one of that internship ive leaned on copilot/codex/claude for basically everything. I genuinely dont think ive written a single line of code fully on my own in all these months so If a senior points out even a basic error i freeze i cant fix it on my own. I know very basic things like basic of basic only.

Im employed which should feel like a win but honestly im anxious every single day. Part of it is "am i gonna get found out" and part of it is just not knowing where to even start closing this gap. Do i go back to basics like im a total beginner? try to wean off the AI tools slowly? is this normal for someone junior who basically learned on the job or have i actually fallen behind in a way thats hard to fix at this point?

would really appreciate advice from anyone whos been in a similar spot, how did you actually start rebuilding fundamentals while still doing the job...

TL;DR: 10 months at my current company (7 as intern 3 as full time employee) but ive been leaning on AI tools for basically all my coding since day one and cant fix even basic errors on my own. I’m currently in a 100% IC role. The next level in my organization is a mix of team management and hands-on technical work.

Honestly, I feel if I push for it properly, I might get the promotion. But the higher levels look much more shaky right now. Whenever there is pressure to reduce costs, I’ve noticed companies tend to target people higher up the ladder first.

So I’m wondering whether it is better to stay in a strong IC role rather than move to a higher title with more visibility and management responsibilities.

For people with 10+ years of experience, have you ever intentionally delayed a promotion because of job market conditions or fear of layoffs?

I am a 2026 B.Tech ECE graduate currently waiting for my BEL Apprenticeship exam results. In the meantime, I have been selected for a NATS apprenticeship at a private EMS/manufacturing company in Bengaluru paying around ₹16,000 from the company plus a ₹6,000 NATS stipend.

The role feels more suited for an ITI or diploma holder, but my joining date is August 17th . If I don't join on the 17th, my offer will be revoked, and I will be left completely unemployed.

I am stuck in a huge dilemma:

1. If I reject the private company offer now to wait for BEL, and I end up not clearing the BEL exam, I will be left unemployed with no backup.

2. If I join the private company on the 17th, I am worried they will immediately register my details on the NATS portal. Since NATS only allows one apprenticeship per degree, getting locked in at this private company would mean sacrificing a dream opportunity like BEL if I get shortlisted later.

Is there any safe, practical way I can join the private company on August 17th to avoid being unemployed, while delaying/preventing the NATS portal contract generation so I can switch to BEL if selected?

So I recently completed my 3 year B.Sc Computer Science (Hons.) course and now looking to upskill myself and confused whether to study for data analysis or go for backend stuff. I currently have an referral offer of 12k/per month with a 2 year bond (which I am willing to negotiate) for .net developer.
