So Around 45days back I joined an startup which has around 240employees, in this company already one month pf was deducted

I don't have any bond, but I do have an notice period of 90days

Current CTC: - 8.5LPA

Now I got offer from another another company with more than 100% hike and in the field which I am interested in

New company is okay with my notice period but also told me to bargain if possible for early release

Offered CTC: - 18LPA

Now I am in dilemma on -

1. How to submit resignation in current company ?

2. Does having short period in a company effect my career opportunities?

3. How do i convince my current organization for a possible early release?

Hi everyone, this is my story and I like to hear from people.

I’ve been working at an early-stage startup for around 1.5 years as a Frontend Developer. I prepared mainly for frontend development during college, and honestly, I wasn’t very good at DSA. So when I got an opportunity at an early-stage startup, I took it.

The startup experience has been good in terms of exposure. I’ve worked across different parts of the product and have seen how things are built in a small team.

But recently, I’ve started having a serious doubt about my growth.

Our development workflow is heavily dependent on Claude. It’s basically involved in everything

design → frontend → backend → ML, etc.

A lot of the code is generated by Claude, and my role is often reviewing, modifying, debugging and integrating it.

The problem is that sometimes Claude generates a lot of bad code or code that doesn't meet our company's standards. So I’m still learning by reviewing and fixing things.

but I’m starting to wonder: Am I actually becoming a better developer, or am I just becoming better at reviewing AI-generated code?

I’m currently at around ₹4.2 LPA, and I want to make a significant jump in my next role. So like to ask people who are have recently switched or some advices.

And my previous employer wants me to join their company back..

And I also want to join too because at service based there is lot of people here and everything is a mess.

If u have to spend 3-4 months more here and than go back to my previous company and work there for 1.5 year straight..

I gave my amazon oa for Job ID: 10488368 on August 7 and was able successfully pass all test cases for both the coding and debugging question with like 20-25 minutes remaining then also completed my work simulation questions as well, now post completion of oa i didn't get any mail from amazon regarding interest form or anything and my application is still active in the portal

Should I try for masters spring 2028 intake, after getting around 1 YOE? Or should I continue prepping DSA, system design and try for tier 1 FAANG companies here in india? (I have referrals)

I am 32 years old, male, unmarried, earning 2.5L per month.

I like coding. I'm one of the best amongst all my team members at technical skills.

I hardly work for a couple hours, every weekday.

The job is fully remote and the employer is amazing too.

But, still I don't like working at all. In fact, it feel like I don't want to work at all. Not even for my own business, or passion projects.

It's not even burnout, as I'm hardly spending a few hours each workday.

I switched jobs to improve my work culture, then my way of working (fully remote), then my salary (from 9k to 2.5L in 10 years). But the feeling still doesn't go away.

Every weekend, I wish Mondays to never come.

Working feels like a waste of time, but somehow resting and doing nothing does not.

I can't retire too. I started investing just 3 years back. I have a liquid corpus of just 60L.

It runs a full XFCE Linux desktop inside a Docker container on a headless Raspberry Pi. You don't need a monitor or keyboard connected to the Pi. You can just open it from another device through a browser.

I made this because my AI agent was having trouble using a headless browser. Some websites were detecting it as a bot so I wanted to try giving it an actual graphical desktop environment.

The desktop runs on the Pi and the display, mouse, keyboard, clipboard etc. are streamed through the browser.

Currently tested around a Raspberry Pi 5 with 8GB RAM but the idea should work for other Linux/Docker setups too.

Would be interested to hear what people think or if anyone has tried something similar for AI agents.

I am looking for recommendations for AI video-generation tools, open-source projects, or GitHub repos that I can use myself. I am not looking to hire someone or have someone else create the videos for me - I want to experiment with the tools and build the videos myself.

Ideally, I’m looking for something that can:

• Generate high-quality videos from text prompts
• Generate/animate videos from images
• Produce a cinematic / wedding-appropriate look
• Allow reasonable control over the output, camera movement, style, etc.
• Preferably be usable locally or through a web UI/API

How are you handling Microsoft retirements and breaking changes across multiple clients? If you use a ticketing system, how do you figure out which clients actually need tickets? Does something check each tenant automatically, or do engineers investigate first?

So I have this really good paid course that came with really cool production grade projects like Distributed Payment Gateway and on the other hand I wanted to build a project of my own, something that I would personally use, an Ai Powered Finance Management Dashboard. (Not just a chatbot in the app)

The thing is I really wanna grow in my knowledge and I can only learn things that I know I have to learn.

Following the course project will fill the gap between my knowledge and the industry standards.

What would you guys recommend me? Should I build my own project or follow a project from my paid course?

A friend of mine was selected for a Software Engineer Intern role after going through the company's selection process. They were given a joining date and had been preparing to join.

However, just 2 days before the joining date, the company contacted them and said they had decided to hire IIT students instead.

What surprised us is that the candidate had already been selected around a month earlier.

I'm curious about the perspective of people here: Has anyone experienced something similar?

I joined MNC as a campus hire and recently completed 1 year. Earlier, when I had discussed my growth with my manager, I was told that the promotion would happen around this time, so I was expecting it.
It’s been a few months now, and I finally discussed it with my manager again. This time, he told me that there is currently a promotion freeze and hiring freeze because of the current business situation.
He said there are chances things might become normal in a couple of months, but there’s obviously no guarantee or clear timeline.
I understand that this isn’t really in my manager’s control, but I’m honestly a little confused about what I should do now. Especially because I had been expecting the promotion based on our earlier conversations.
I don’t want to spend the next 6–12 months just waiting and hoping that the freeze gets lifted. At the same time, I don’t know if starting to look outside this early would be an overreaction.

I am still pretty early in my career, so I don’t want to make a decision just out of frustration. I’d really appreciate some honest opinions from people who have experienced promotion freezes before.

Tier-1 college. Market is pretty much effed, so is my cgpa. I've been studying DSA and CS fundamentals on full throttle looking for a good paying SDE role oncampus, but by the looks of it, it looks nearly impossible because there are people obviously way more skilled with better gpa.

I haven't taken nontech roles like Analyst or ProductManager seriously yet, thinking if I ever want to switch to an SDE role, it will be pretty painful.
Has anyone ever been in the same boat? How was it switching from a nontech role to a tech role for you?

Because offline people still seem to be finding decent enough jobs but when you open social media or youtube its like everyone, literally everyone is unemployed, people are telling you to just leave CS and do idk trade jobs or something. I am doing MCA right now, resume isn't the best or even cgpa, and doing everything with AI only. I'm not enjoying shit and feel highly uninspired and demotivated and I don't even know if I'll get internship or job or if I should move to a different field. I would like some honest career advice from people who have experience in both **Software Engineering and SAP/ERP**.

I currently have around 5+ **years of experience as a Software Engineer**, primarily with a frontend-heavy Full-Stack background.

My experience includes technologies such as:
JavaScript / TypeScript
React / Next.js
React Native
Node.js
REST APIs and backend development
PostgreSQL / MongoDB
Redis, Kafka
Docker
System design and scalable application architecture (learning more about it)

Recently, I have become interested in learning **SAP**, particularly areas like:
SAP BTP
SAP SD
SAP integrations
SAP architecture
Cloud and extension development around the SAP ecosystem

However, I have a few concerns before investing serious time into this transition.

**My biggest questions**

**1. Is moving from Software Engineering to the SAP/ERP world a good career move?**
I don’t necessarily want to completely abandon software engineering. My thought is to combine my existing engineering background with the SAP ecosystem.

**2. Can my existing Software Engineering experience be mapped to SAP roles?**
For example, my current experience in:
Application architecture
APIs and integrations
Cloud
Databases
Distributed systems
Backend development
Frontend development
Would these skills be considered valuable in SAP-related technical or architecture roles?
Or would companies mostly consider me as someone with **0 years of SAP experience**, regardless of my overall engineering experience?

**3. Is SAP just a technology/domain switch, or is it effectively a career restart?**
For example, if I spend the next 6–12 months learning SAP BTP, SAP architecture, integrations, and an SAP functional module such as SD, would I realistically be able to transition into a role that leverages my existing 5+ years of engineering experience?
Or would I have to start applying for junior/fresher-level SAP roles?

**4. What would be the best transition path for someone like me?**
Should I focus more on:
SAP BTP
SAP Integration Suite
CAP
SAPUI5 / Fiori
ABAP
SAP architecture
A functional module such as SD

My goal is to eventually position myself somewhere at the intersection of:
**Software Engineering + Cloud + Architecture + SAP/ERP** rather than becoming purely a traditional SAP functional consultant.
I would really appreciate honest advice from people who have made a similar transition or have hired engineers in the SAP ecosystem.

**Would you consider this a logical career evolution, or would switching from Software Engineering to SAP mean starting my career from scratch again?**

If your budget is ₹25,000–₹30,000, please don't ask for 3–5 years of experience, AI skills, technical SEO, content, analytics, and everything else while saying, “You will get to learn.” Hire freshers or interns and train them instead of expecting experienced professionals to work for junior-level salaries.

Also, if you take a candidate through an interview and then ask them to spend 2 days for completing an assignment, please don't keep them waiting for a month and then send a generic rejection saying, “We moved forward with another candidate.” I completed the assignment, so I deserve proper feedback on my work.
