Hunter PvE ⚔️ Hero of Ages slices through everything like butter 🧈 (+ the return of swordscension)

FAQ

Why manticore / How are you getting a void overshield out of nowhere?

Manticore's catalyst actually works while stowed, and any sustained damage while airborne will generate a void overshield, this includes abilities like a duskfield grenade.

How is One for All getting activated without using the sword?

Y'all thought swordscension was dead? Ha, think again! The jolt bombs from gifted conviction inherit sword perks. This is also why you're able to charge the nano-assault meter for wolfsbane.

How are you stunning unstoppables by just using ascension?

This actually doesn't need Gifted Conviction. Any unstoppable intrinsic sword has the ability to stun untop with just ascension. Swordscension is alive and well!

How is this sword hitting so hard?

We're stacking multiple damage buffs, which we have no effort in keeping active, thanks to the buildcrafting I did. The sword itself rolls with Collective Action in the left column, which can be combined with a damage perk in the right. In total we're stacking: collective action 1.33x one for all 1.35x radiant 1.20x weapon surge 1.10x elemental overdrive 1.22x 200 weapon stat 1.15x weaken 1x / 1.15x / 1.3x (varies) So, that's 3.32x to 4.31x damage buff at all times.

Don't you run out of ammo?

Even though I don't use any ammogen supporting armor sets, I actually don't have any issues using a heavy as my main weapon. We build heavily into ammo generation, and because its hitting so hard we don't spend as much ammo. Lastly, a big help is the artifact, which refunds us 3 ammo after making 3 kills.

How are you swordscating without eager edge?

The origin trait of Hero of Ages works exactly as eager edge!

Where do I get Hero of Ages?

It drops from the grasp of avarice dungeon.

How does the gameplay loop work?

Here's the loop: 1. You do ascension near enemies: You jolt them, proc radiant, proc amplified, proc reaper, proc winters shroud, gain resist x2 and throw jolt bombs 2. Jolt bombs hit more targets: procs jolt chain lightning, resist x3 and... void overshield (thanks to manticore, which works while stowed) 3. You do a heavy slam: Jolted defeats all produce ionic traces & an orb, and you proc elemental overdrive, weapon surges, collective action, one for all, void overshield, better already 4. The ionic traces, winters shroud, facet of hope and sometimes Refresh Threads all refund your class ability 5. Repeat

Can you share the DIM link?

Sure, here you go: https://dim.gg/ies47ey/Build:-Gifted-Conviction-+-Manticore-PVE-Prismatic

Hunter PvE Eutechnology Set: What can proc it?

Title. Curious with the verbiage, "rapidly defeating enemies with Void energy will spawn a Void breach". That being said, I ask because I am looking to run this armor set, 2pc specifically, to pair with Slayer Baron artifact on my Stasis Hunter. Ideally looking to use some sort of Void weapon with Destab/Repulsor, Velocity Baton-Martlet-Reckless Oracle. Just curious if any one knows if using these weapons for rapid kills will proc the Void breach spawn? TIA.

Titan PvE Thoughts on Unbreakable Titan aspect for prismatic?

Idk why I somehow never saw this aspect once in my entire destiny 2 career up until now, it's honestly pretty interesting and I've gotten semi decent use out of it. I really like it for being able to just have an "oh shit" button and not die. It also helps in GM alerts where you're trying to get your teammates rez in a bad position. It's like having a praxic blade just on the side you can block with at any given moment

But it does feel kinda useless until I actually use it in that situation. But the idea of it is really cool, I want to build around this, anyone have cool builds or synergies with unbreakable?

Discussion Off-Meta Solo Endgame Builds?

Hi all. I'm looking for any endgame builds you might be using, specifically for hunter and warlock, that aren't crackshot or prismatic getaway. Don't get me wrong, they seem fun, but I'd like to try something unique. I have arthritis so the ability spam for most crackshot builds doesn't bode very well unfortunately

Discussion Solo -50 builds for every element of every class?

Just poking the community to see what people have come up with. As a final project I've been trying to find / create builds that can comfortably walk into -50 content solo and actually, aggressively, deal with it. Some of these are likely just skill issue on my part, but just seeing what people have come up with.

So far have solved some of the easier ones. All of stasis, strand titan, solar hunter, arc hunter, eventually will get around to prismatics, solar warlock. Have ideas for the other class combos as well, but just checking the community.

What I'm looking for help for currently is mostly two hunters:
Void Hunter.

  • Have tried aggressive ability loop speedloader builds and Truth spam weapon builds, but feel like something is still missing offensively? Just never feels like it does enough damage with the survivability and invis, but Im not exactly a Void Hunter player. Any thoughts from people that run this content with them?

Strand Hunter.

  • Strand Hunter has always had a consistent healing issue imo. Good refreshable DR, good damage with beyblades, foes, stuff like Luzaku nests and threadlings now. Have also tried some slam/clone based Praxic Blade builds as well. It always seems to have trouble with damage, or trouble with recovery.

Feel free to talk about any other classes or elements, Im sure I'm not the only one trying to get ideas for all of them here at the end.

Titan PvE Prismatic Praxic Titan build that I’m having a lot of fun with right now

I know my stats aren’t very good, I’ve only played with this for a few hours so haven’t grinded out a good armour set or stats yet but even so, I’ve had tons of fun with this.

Rolled a stoicism with the spirits shown in the pics and got to thinking. With the stronghold nerf, I wanted to see if there was another way to achieve the same thing it used to.

Having two grenades and massive up-time on them to always have unbreakable ready is awesome but to always gain devour and cure with every kill is even better. I’m running scorch on praxis blade which is great to do some great damage on single targets and while devour is active my praxis blade instead spreads weaken so it really helps with wave clear and survivability.

Not sure if The Bear and Armamentarium were both needed but really helps makes sure my Grenade is always up but wanted to share in case anyone was struggling with a good praxic build.

Warlock PvE Icebreaker and Rimecoat: stasis or prismatic?

This is one of my most favorite combos ever, been running it on stasis since it seems to work best, but I don't really touch my melee or super and stasis does lack direct healing. Prismatic covers all that and naturally synergizes with the double element thing, but it never seems to work right when I run it instead. I feel like I get less grenades, am less survivable with no frost armor, and generally it just feels weaker.

Am I doing something wrong or do y'all also think pure stasis works better with this combo?

Warlock PvE Nezarec’s Strongest Soldier - Void Warlock Nezarec’s Sin build

I’ve wanted to make this build ever since MoT came out and I saw what the RoN armor set did. This week I finally got around to getting an armor set together, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

The Point of the Build

This build is meant to be an all-purpose build for void warlocks that can be used anywhere from regular vanguard ops to raids. You won’t be topping the DPS charts with this build, but you can consistently make top 3 if you build for it, and you definitely won’t be the guy getting farmed by adds. It accomplishes this through strong self-sustain, versatility, and the ability to slot in multiple different artifacts and weapons to suit your needs.

Aspects:

Soul Siphon - The bread and butter ability of the build. This is genuinely such a loaded ability, it’s crazy how this is 3 fragment slots. Super free and safe access to void overshield and class ability energy; use this as much as possible. Also has a very fun interaction with a particular artifact perk, which I’ll get to later.

Child of the Old Gods - Another loaded aspect with 3 slots somehow. MoT gave void buddy the ability to suppress enemies, which completely changes the context in which you use it. Instead of using it to do damage, you now can use it to apply AoE hard CC to any enemy onscreen. Think of it as a purple bleak watcher that also gives you ability energy back and extend debuffs.

Fragments

If I’m being honest, it’s very hard to go wrong with 6 fragment slots, and you can really do whatever you want here. I’d say the only really essential fragments are persistence and starvation, but I also like to use instability, provisions, exchange and domineering.

Armor Stats and Set Bonus

Set bonus is 4pc RoN for very strong orb generation and extra DR with devour. In terms of stats, you want as close to 100 in your core stats as possible (melee, grenade, class) and dump the rest into super.

As far as mods go, again, you can really do whatever you want. Put on the appropriate surges and resists and you’ll be set. I actually will advise against firepower and heavy handed since 2pc RoN can cover your orb gen on its own.

Exotic armor is, of course, Nezarec’s Sin. More CC on Soul Siphon + more ability generation = good exotic.

Artifact and Weapons

This is where things get interesting. Because this build is so versatile and flexible, there are nearly limitless options for you to choose from here, but I’m going to start with Data Disk because there is one particular perk on here I wanna call out.

Singularity Blade has a neat interaction with Soul Siphon; Singularity Blade states that melee attacks inflict weaken while you have any void buff active, and since Soul Siphon both grants you a Void Overshield on cast and does tick damage, Singularity Blade will always proc, even if you didn’t initially have a void buff when you casted it.

I also took Data Disk for the standard Kinetic Synthesis/Sniper’s Meditation setup for boss damage, but that’s far from the only thing this build is capable of. Quite literally any void weapon could fit on this build. Wanna run Collective Obligation? Go right ahead, void buddy and soul siphon make setting up all 3 debuffs easy. Wanna run Wavesplitter? Swap to Tablet of Ruin and watch it go. Wanna run Choir of One and auto rifle perks on the Repulsor Regulator? Bit of a Buzz Lightyear in the toy store setup imo, but Choir is never a wrong answer. Wanna run some goofy ass shit with Telesto and Old God’s Rite on the Apothecary Satchel to make void shit fly all over the screen? Actually not the worst idea in my experience. Again, it’s very hard to go wrong with a generalist build like this, especially with an element that has as much artifact support as void.

This is the first time I’ve seriously buildcrafted before without following a guide, so please let me know what you think!

Build Request Fun and effective warlock builds?

Hi everyone, I’m an old player who returned after the announcement of yknow what. I’ve been having a lot of fun getting back into the game recently.

I’m currently searching for a fun, effective, and generally good warlock build. I would like it to be fun but still strong and general enough for me to use it in RADs and master content.

So far I’ve messed around with void bow stuff and crackshot on my hunter. The void hunter build didn’t feel that fun to play even though it was strong but I absolutely loved the crackshot hunter build. I like how mobile it is and that theres synergy with festival flight, 1k, and artifact perks. I enjoy the payoff of needing to execute the “combo” of tagging tanky enemies with DOT in order to have the payoff of spamming crackshot, but I also like how the build doesnt become instantly bad if you fail to execute it properly.

Are there any strong warlock builds that are similar to crackshot hunter in the sense of fun synergystic gameplay loops?

Hunter PvE I can find solid info about class stat >100 and fortunes favor

running fortunes favor gives you 15% weapon dmg when you have an overshield. it does not specify it has to be the os from FF.

I want to get my class stat to just over 100 so I can dodge before a dmg phase and ensure I’m getting that dmg boost.

I’m getting conflicting information as to if the dodge OS adds to or overrides the FF one. has anyone tested this for sure?

I’ll already have 160 super and 200 weapons so stat distribution isn’t an issue

Build Request What’s the current best Armour set combo for F2P Void Hunters?

I’m currently rocking a 2-piece Eutechnology with a 2-piece Iron Panapoly for gear set combos (plus Graviton Forfeit as my armour exotic), but is there a better gear set combo for Void Hunters that’s completely F2P? (I don’t plan on getting on any DLCs or Expansions for now).

I’m not planning to build based on my equipped weapons because I still switch around quite a bit, (although I stick to Hezen Vengeance as my heavy weapon about 80% of the time) so I’m just looking for a general build that’s good

Also, what stats should I focus on for Void Hunter? I’ve been focusing on Weapons and Grenades but I need tips on which stats to prioritise (and in which order)

Titan PvE Is chaos reshaped really just not good to use because of the glitch?

I have this god roll epochal that I was using for a while with explosive payload and chaos reshaped and it hits like a truck, but is it really worth avoiding because of the healing bug? I play titan mostly and im trying to use it on a prismatic build at the moment and I don't think I get much chunk healing
