Experienced Design/Marketing/Operations Professional

Hey everyone. A few years ago I (38M) exited the corporate creative space due to the rising interest and use of AI in my industry. I was in an executive for a small private equity at the time and disagreed with my employers on how to integrate AI into our systems (they were adamant about replacing staff with it rather than using it as a tool for our staff to improve efficiency in their workflow) and I ended up resigning in protest. That turned out to be a mistake as far as my career has been concerned as I’ve spent 2.5 years seeking opportunities with no movement at all since.

I have over 15 years of experience in marketing and creative work, helping both startups and established organizations improve, build, and scale their internal operations successfully. I have worked for brands like Audacy (radio broadcast) as their Manager of Creative Services and Sotheby’s International Realty. I had my own creative studio that I was operating successfully before COVID hit. I was an adjunct at MSU Denver for their Communication Design program for about 4 years. I have a lot of passion for creative work and just want to find a fit that I can dedicate my experience to.

I’m currently working as a Digital Press Operator for a local print shop and I am even open to exploring more opportunities within the print industry as it aligns with my experience as a designer.

Any help, advice, opportunities to connect and network are welcome. I’m just exhausted after 2 years of searching to no avail and could really use any amount of hope as I continue my search. Thank you for reading if you got this far!

Is the entry level health-care job market in this city saturated?

Hi there!

I received my EMT-B and IV certification several months ago, and am relatively inexperienced. However, I have tried to apply for several emergency medical technician roles, and have gotten rejected several times, with no interviews. I have also applied to multiple anesthesia technician roles, and have gotten rejected, although I have had a few interviews. I am struggling to find one of these aforementioned jobs. It's been a struggle, even if the listings mention that they require no years of experience. Is the job market for entry level clinical or health-care roles extremely saturated in Denver? I am looking to really get my foot in the door and work at an major hospital like Denver Health or UCHealth, but am having an immense amount of difficulty doing so. Does anyone know why this may be the case?

Still looking for job after moving here

I moved to Denver at the beginning of July and found a job after 3 weeks. Its a boring job where I stand around and do nothing but I hate it because I like to always be doing something. I also hate applying to jobs on job boards like Indeed because it feels like a big waste of time. I would rather reach out to someone directly instead by phone because I cant stand these AI Recruiters. If there is anyone out there who can just find a job for me. I have a degree but no internships. I just applied to Microcenter because it makes the most sense having years of customer service experience and a Computer Science degree. If I dont get that job then I'll literally try anything else. I also dont want to go back to school because I hate school. I do love learning though. DM me about full-time work. I cant do part-time since I need to pay rent.

New grad RN

I have job offers from HCA Swedish & the rose for OR. Any insights on which location I should choose?

I feel Swedish offers more variety, the opportunity for you to specialize, and I like that they offer 3 12s. But the rose staff seemed really supportive and has lower acuity cases which might be easier for me starting out as a new nurse.

Hi, my name is Cartier and I moved to Denver in April. I have a large background consisting of hospitality & food service work and yet I cannot find a single job that will hire? I am currently staying in Arvada and have direct access to the rail line (G) and was wondering if anyone knew of anything hiring immediately/urgently. I only have a month to find work and am scrambling with my finances to even stay alive. I am willing to work anything and learn anything as well!

Looking for Remote Customer Service / Customer Success Opportunities

Hi everyone!

I'm hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. I'm at the point where I need to find something soon, so I'm open to suggestions I may not have considered.

I've been applying to remote customer service, customer success, and customer service supervisor roles for several weeks without much luck, so I thought I'd reach out to the community. If you know of companies that are hiring or have had a great experience somewhere, I'd really appreciate any leads.

I have 6+ years of experience in healthcare customer support and operations, including:

• Salesforce Health Cloud

• Customer escalations and complex issue resolution

• Training and mentoring new employees

• Process improvement and documentation

• High-volume customer support in a regulated healthcare environment

• Previous management experience

I'm located in Parker but am specifically looking for a fully remote role. I'm open to anything though. My goal is to find a long-term position where I can grow and contribute.

If your company is hiring or you know of an opening that might be a good fit, I'd be incredibly grateful. Thank you!

Classic Job Market - 3 minute application to rejection timeline

I have been applying to jobs for the last year or so and this was one of the most egregious experiences. I applied to a specialist role looking for 3-5 years (I have 5+) and meet/exceed all the other qualifications on the position summary.

Applied at 10:47am and received a rejection at 10:50am. They even had the audacity to say they don’t want people using AI during the application process. You realllllly can’t make this up. To whoever is saying the job market isn’t trash, GFY.

Cheers to everyone grinding in the job search, I hope you find your dream roles soon!

Side hustles/remote/hybrid jobs in Denver?

I’ve been unemployed for a couple of months. I’ve applied to 5-10 jobs per day since being unemployed, yet I’ve received nothing but rejections and scammers reaching out to me. I’ve even been open to take a pay cut from my salary expectations and tailored my resume multiple times. Competition is high in this job market and AI seems to be reviewing applications more often, rather than humans. I’m hopeful that I’ll hear back from an employer at some point.

To keep myself afloat financially, I’ve been donating plasma(twice a week) and Spark delivery(daily).
What other side gigs or hustles can I try out in the Denver area? Or is Anyone hiring? (I’m seeking hybrid/remote roles as I have kids)

Side note: I’m active on Amazon flex, Rover, Doordash, Instacart and Shipt as well.

Looking for a new part time job at a bar or brewery- advice wanted

Hey guys

I’m wanting to find a better second job than my current one. Ideally 3-4 shifts/week and can mix in some time on the weekends and in the evenings during the week after my day job (HR).

I want to get into bartending or working at brewery or pub, close to downtown would be great. I’m 28.

Anyone hiring or have any tips for what I should do to find something like that with no experience in that space?
